Shaefer Ranch Park

This park is beautiful!!! I love that the east side of Dublin has a tennis court. Thank you so much! One problem– court rules clearly state that lights hours of operation– no lights on court exist! Major fail!

This park is amazing. My kids can hang out here for hours on end and never ask to go home. We bring bikes, and even my 3 year old can do the loop by himself with no issue. They love the structures, too. I love that we can retreat to the covered picnic tables if needed, for shade. Yes, this is a new park in a new development, so don’t expect mature trees to provide shade. It’s usually pretty windy up there, though, so it helps cool things off.

This park opened recently and can be difficult to locate via GPS. You exit San Ramon/​Foothill off the 580 and head north. Turn left on Dublin Blvd and just keep driving. It looks like you are going nowhere, but eventually you’ll go uphill and start to see new housing developments. The park is on the right side.
This park is gorgeous. It contains bathrooms (yay!) and several play structures for various ages. Seating is ample, and there are covered picnic tables. The only downside is that this place will be roasting in the summer. There is no shade on the play structures themselves and the substrate is recycled rubber, which really reflects the heat.
