I went once and had a less than positive experience. Didn’t think much about it because everyone has bad days. Went back still a bad experience. Went back a third time — horrible service. The lady was measuring my daughters foot and was so rude to my four year old about how to stand. I could have taken her to a million other stores that could have had grumpy old ladies being rude but we go to Stride Rite to get the experience for the little kids. No worries, we will take our money elsewhere. Just a warning don’t go to the Tuttle location. Easton is at least a little better: I would give Easton 4 stars, just as a comparison.

Wow, this place has gone downhill since I was a kid! My mom and I took my son for his first pair of shoes, recalling memories of expert advice and customer service. I hate to bash on a store after one experience, but there were 3 associates who abandoned us mid-shop, in a not so busy store no less. Their advice was minimal and none were able to guide me beyond pointing to 3 shelves from which to choose. A shopper told us she always goes to Jack’s Treehouse but she was in Stride Rite because she needed a specific size Jack’s was out of. She corroborated our observations that service was not what it should be. The prices reflect a better shopping experience, and not one where the cashier leaves the register in the middle of a transaction, nor one if a very crumby, dirty floor. Yuck. The only reason I give 2 stars is that the shoes themselves seem like good stuff. They even still make the pair I first got as a toddler!
