Worst customer service! I went in at 5:40pm on a Saturday. Apparently they closed at 6:00, seems a bit early to close on a weekend. They had no calzones or Stromboli and said they turned their ovens off so could only offer me a cold sub to heat up at home. At $ 10.99 a sub, no thank you. They should offer food until they close, especially at those high prices. The girls behind the counter seemed annoyed to actually have to work & serve a customer. I have heard the food is good but I will never find out as I value good customer service. I will never return.

I’ve been going to Vincenzos for over 20 years and it continues to get better and better, which I didn’t think was possible. The homemade sauces and variety of high end Italian delicacies make it the best place in Columbus. Vincenzos Stromboli is the best and highest quality of premium imported meats and cheeses which I take to my family every Christmas Eve. Everyone raves about it and once you’ve had it, you won’t look at Stromboli the same ever again. They have a selection of Wine that is second to none and the folks that work there don’t seem like employees. They obviously care about making sure their customers get exactly what they are looking for and will even take your order out to your car if need be. I can’t recommend this place any further!

okay, first off: this place wins all the things b/c there’s an elderly woman who wanders the store back and forth from the pasta maker and the deli case. she wears her hair in a bun and has glasses and she was just adorable. well done, old lady. this is an independent Italian deli in a strip mall in the land of strip malls. a light in the darkness and a beacon that good taste is still alive. if you like wine you should come her b/c they have a lot of it. I don’t know anything about wine but I know they have a lot of it and it looked very fancy and in cool wood boxes. they also have their own house made sausage on a charcoal grill on the side walk. I didn’t get it but I will next time b/c it looked like a a good thing. they have two big deli cases filled with prepared for for take out and the. another case of cheeses and meats. oye. my friend and I split an Italian sub which was very good on a enormous baguette. the half sub was as big as my head. great little place with lots of weird interesting Italian peppers and groceries to look at! yay 161 and sawmill for not being a cultural wasteland!

We tried twice to eat there. And both times they closed early that day. If they don’t have enough business to support the listed hours, this brings the quality and other slew of 5 star reviews into question. Sorry. After two special trips to try this highly rated restaurant(which isn’t a true sit down by the way though it is not advertised that way) we won’t be returning.

On a whim, a friend and I decided to try this store/restaurant/wine shop/take out place located in a strip mall on Sawmill. I am glad we happened into the place. The calzone I had was excellent and fresh tasting. The owner told us they make as much of their food from scratch as they can. He even pointed out his mother in the back of the store; she was making pasta. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly. There is a small patio and about three or four tables squeezed among the merchandise. It felt like I was a friend who just stopped by for a visit. My friend and I both bought prepared food to take home for dinner, too. I will be going back.

I’ve been meaning to stop in here, but was never sure if it was really somewhere I could eat. Turns out it is, barely– there are two small tables in an alcove. Mainly it’s a wine shop, with what looks like a great selection(I’m not a wine guy.) There are a few dry goods, not much more than pasta and olive oil. The prepared foods are where it’s at, for me. If I lived closer and hadn’t been on my way to work, I would have tried some of each: chicken parm, eggplant parm, sausage, etc. Everything was the real deal and looked very appetizing. I ended up with an Italian sub– probably the best I’ve had in Columbus. Not that I’m out hunting down the best subs, but this one is great: excellent bread, great meats, fresh veggies. And huge– I barely ate half for lunch, and finished the rest at work. I was sad when I was done both times– it was that good. It’s a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it for the size and quality. The place isn’t big, or fancy, and I’d hate to go during a busy time. But for a quick, bare bones lunch, it was perfect. I will definitely be back.

The food is great but I have stopped visiting due to concerns over it’s level of cleanliness. The bread racks used for baking truly look as if they have never been washed. When I asked for the restroom, they showed me to the managers office where there was a toilet in the corner. I’m not kidding.

In no way is this place close to me, but as soon as I saw it pop up on my news feed a couple weeks ago, there was no way I wasn’t checking it out. Italian deli with giant subs? Check. Fresh cannolis? Check. The checklist is short of what makes me happy, but it took a little convincing on my part to get my friends to make the trek with me. They’re glad they did, and the one that didn’t is now incredibly jealous. The worst part about this place is that it’s tucked into one of the worst, most congested strip malls in Columbus at the corner of Sawmill and 161. I don’t know if it’s because of the holiday season, but that parking lot is a mess. As soon as we stepped into Vincenzo’s, I knew it was exactly what I wanted. Fresh bread, calzones, and stromboli being made right then. We all ordered the Italian sub, since I had hyped it up so much. It costs $ 10.99, but it’s at least two meals, or you could split it with a friend. I’m talking this sub is probably 12″ long, 6″ tall, and 6″ wide. It’s massive. The calzones looked pretty amazing too, so I’m planning on saving those for another day. I also ordered a cannoli, which was dipped in chocolate and had chocolate chips at both ends. The ricotta was awesome and rich, but I could have probably put down a few of them had it not been for that sub. Back to the sub. They use great homemade Italian bread(one loaf) as well as an assortment of meats, and their Italian dressing. It’s pretty tasty, and I struggled to get one half down it was so big. I heated the second half up in the oven the next day, and it kept very well. On top of the subs and cannolis, they have all sorts of meats, cheeses, and pre-made dishes that looked like they would be great for takeout. They also have a big Italian wine selection with some pretty pricey bottles(I know nothing about wine, so I don’t know if any of them were good or not). The place isn’t open on Sundays, so if you decide to make the trip, and you work during the week, Saturday is the best time to go. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful, and I would not hesitate to go back even if it does take me forever to make the round trip.

Top notch made from scratch Italian. One of our two«go-to» Italian eateries in town. The owner, Louis, is a class act and runs a fantastic business. Outstanding customer service for everybody. Their chicken parm, lasagna, calzones and strromboli are excellent… sauce is delicious and overall recipe is very well balanced… not an overload of cheese. Bread is outstanding… their garlic bread is our favorite. Wine selection is very good… several hard-to-find bottles and wide variety of Italian, French and American, all price points. They are great with recommendations. The store has several other items/delicacies/etc that allow you to put together an interesting meal across the board. A few tables to sit at for lunch, but best for carryout. They are popular and they sell out, so best to call ahead by an hour or more and place an order if you are looking to feed a large group. They are very accommodating with special requests/orders. Fantastic option for business lunches, and a wonderful meal for family gatherings, holiday parties, etc. Highly recommend… excellent place.

My company LOVES ordering lunch from Louis at Vincenzo’s! We have ordered ahead of time for as many as 40 people, and walked in to get food out of their display for up to 15. Louis and his team have always gone the extra mile to make sure the food is delicious; assembling subs right in front of us, ensuring calzones are heated to the right temperature, providing extra sauce when needed. What strikes me most about this establishment is that Louis genuinely appreciates your business, and it’s obvious from the way he treats his customers. He even helped a co-worker and myself carry our orders out to the car. Always so impressed with the service, the food is AUTHENTIC(Louis’s Italian mother was making homemade pasta the last time I was there) and always delicious. I also grab some of the pre-made food on my way home and heat it up on my own… and it helps that they have an amazing wine selection as well :) So refreshing to find a local establishment with great food and even better people!

This place is one of the rare independent Italian deli’s in Columbus. Enjoy it! Stop in for lunch and grab an Italian sub. They are huge and delicious. Grab some dinner at their pre-made counter — ALL homemade! Their breads with olive oil and sea salt remind me of the loaves you can get at the bakeries in Italy. Fantastic wine selection. Great customer service. Catering is available :-) Wonderful gem!

It was a special night. We had to feed eight adults and three kids for my niece’s baptism, including our priest. My sister had flown from L.A. with her 10-day-old baby, so my ailing dad could participate. My wife suggested an Italian dinner, and remember Vincenzo’s. She ordered both eggplant and chicken parmesan, pasta, bread and salad. Standing at the counter, I thought I was peering into someone’s Italian kitchen. Whom I believed to be the owner was finishing up the preparations, and ensured that we liked the looks of food. Everyone was so friendly in ringing us up and helping load the food into the car. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and cheaper/less hassle than dining out. Grazie! It was a terrific meal to share as a family!

We purchase food from this place quite often! I highly recommend anyone to stop in and enjoy their FRESH food! The only negative thing is they run out of select items quickly! Examples of this include Sautéed Mushrooms! Keep doing a great job!

This place is more of a take-it-and-go restaurant but there are a few high-top tables inside where you can sit, eat, and drink the bottle of wine you just bought. They also have an outdoor patio and an outdoor grill that they use regularly. I’ve tried several of their menu items and all have been wonderful. My favorite of all though, is the bread. Oh my goodness, the bread… You have GOT to try the olive oil, herb, and sea salt breads they make. So moist. So flavorful. So… gone in 5 minutes.

i love this place. the breads are amazing — specifically the sea salt and herb baguette and the mozz bread. but man is it expensive($ 7 for a baguette). the selection of wine and dried pastas are good and affordable. i totally recommend going here, but be prepared to spend!

Wow! This place is brimming with wines, gourmet to-go Italian like olives, pasta and meat dishes, and other great offerings. You can buy gianormous subs that will feed two, or get calzones by the pound. They change up the menu daily, with all kinds of fun meat combos, peppers, etc. It’s just as easy to hit them up for lunch or a quick bite on their outdoor patio(not huge or scenic, but serves the purpose) as to grab some containers for an impromptu fête.

This review is based on the 2 breads that we ate at dinner last night. First one a boule lightly rolled in olive oil and salted and I don’t know these were added after the bread was baked or if the bread was baked with the olive oil and salt… either way FANTASTIC. Same response for the large flat italian bread, olive olil, salt, garlic FANTASTIC. Outside of the boule crusty — and best part — inside soft and moist. Let me again say I have been living here since 1979, always bought fresh bread from a french restaurant. Vincenzo’s — at least these 2 — best I have had in this city. What the fork? 5 up

Meatball sub was awesome, with the caveat that I couldn’t fit my mouth around it.

So one guy in the office walks in with a stromboli. Forget 28 days later, by the next day half the office is schlepping across town. Their calzones are outstanding. The stromboli is dripping in grease(that’s a virtue), but doesn’t make the bread soggy. The sea salt, herb and olive oil baguettes are as good as they sound, and reasonably priced. I’ll have to turn my attention to the piaetanza and wine selection now.

Vincenzo’s is Italian done right. So good, so fresh. When I used to work in the Sawmill /270 area Vincenzo’s was the weekly lunch spot that I looked forward to the most. Vincenzo’s is primarily a carry-out joint with little-to-no tales inside — which leaves the entire staff available to concentrate on the scrumptious fares you’ll be taking with you. Most of my experience here involves a calzone or something similar for a one person lunch but, as Will mentioned, the carry-out pasta for the whole family is the specialty of this small ristorante. Be sure to check out the wine section when you walk through on the way to the counter. For the food being so authentically Italian the wine section should follow more of the same path, in my opinion — there seems to be more from California than the old country but some rare Italian finds(Masi Amarone!) slightly make up for the lack of quantity of good Italian wines.
