Battery change Wait time: 20 minutes Service: what you would expect from Wal-Mart Price: $ 99 for a new battery — no additional fees. Selection, however, was non-existent. They had one battery that would fit my car. Product: was sent away to Sears after struggling with a rusted post on the battery. Somehow Sears had no trouble… Overall impression: I had been here once before to get an oil change. No muss no fuss, quick and easy. The price for service are low, however, the price for parts(in this case batteries) is higher than other auto places. I paid $ 70 for a battery from Sears(but was charged a diagnostic fee). If there’s anything more serious on your car than getting routine maintenance, go somewhere else.

Ok, this seems weird but Wal-Mart is actually a great and budget friendly way to get your oil changed. The price was cheap but the service was excellent. I mean technically I could change my own oil, but I am lazy and want it done for as cheap as possible. At Wal-Mart they didn’t skimp on any extras. I got air in my tires, fluids refilled and the perfunctory requests to upgrade my oil and filters. The best thing is you can schlep around Wal-Mart if you do have to wait. If you can, ask for John. He is nice and responded nicely when I told him I was on a budget and just needed to get done what needed to get done. Try out Wal-Mart every 3,000 miles and ensure you will go 3,000 more.
