Great, friendly experience with Bicycle World. We were staying in Galena for a few days to enjoy the fall color, and wanted to have a bike ride on a glorious fall day. The one bike rental in Galena was closed on weekdays, so we ventured the few extra miles to Dubuque to have Bicycle World set us up. The staff was friendly and very helpful, equipping us with nice bikes and helmets. They also recommended a nearby rails-​to-​trails ride, which was beautiful and allowed us to go as far as we wanted. On our return, they recommended several local options for dinner so we didn’t have to eat at a chain. Just a solid, straightforward transaction with the lagniappe of good trail and restaurant recommendations. Well done, Bicycle World!

I’m a cycling newbie (and a very unlikely cyclist at that!)
David was phenomenally awesome in helping me choose a pair of pedals within MY budget, and even installed the cleats on my shoes while I waited.
If you ride bikes… go to Bike World. See David. Be happy when you leave. Just sayin…

I’ve been seriously cycling since 2004 – crossing a state by bike pretty much every year since. But 15 minutes in this store, and I learned everything I never knew about choosing a saddle. The staff is great, and not just at bikes. You tell them you’re from out of town, and they’ll be your tour guides. David hooked us up with a local architect, who toured us through the most amazing warehouse conversions. Worth stopping in if you’re in town; worth the trip if you’re not.
