Saturday night I was there service was great. The bartender(shey) had a beer ready right when I was finished. Such a pro bartender. Nothing but good vibes for this place.

The food here is ok. Typical fried bar food, nothing too standoutish. I like how big the space is and enjoy the court attached, however I’m unclear if the court is free for kids and adults to go in and play a pickup game while waiting for food or if it is just for leagues and reservations. It would be more fun if it was open to customers? I also am unsure if we come in and seat ourselves or wait. I feel like half the time I’m seated by a waitress and other times I’m standing there waiting for someone to seat me for 10 minutes and then when I seat myself no one comes to take our order. Must be under staffed.

I probably would never have chosen to come here on my own, but when your boss offers to buy everyone dinner and two drinks, you suck it up. That said, the food here was inexcusably bad, and I don’t say that about a lot of places. We had a group of close to 40, but there weren’t a lot of other people there for dinner and food was coming out of the kitchen partially cooked. In my case — I ordered nachos — the food was just plain bad. Honestly, you’d think that a sports bar would be capable of putting together something better than a bed of tortilla chips with nacho cheese, lettuce and tomato on it. To be fair, it’s probably my fault for being a vegetarian, and even Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty lacking in the meatless meals department. But I’ve had vegetarian nachos plenty of times and they were all considerably better than this place. If I could go back in time, rather than ordering something different, I would have just not eaten. I wish I had been more entertained by the whole«sports» theme, but I just don’t see the point of giving all of your menu items a special sports themed name if you’re going to put the colloquial name right next to it parentheses. There was one really interesting thing about this place — it had a basketball gym attached to it. It wasn’t clear to me if people just come there to play pick up games and then grab food and drinks after or if you have to reserve a court or something. I could see myself having a better time if I were here to play sports. And admittedly, it was probably the one place in town that was capable of seating/feeding a group our size. Still, I don’t see myself going back there. If you’re trying to grab food and watch a game, you’re better off going to Buffalo Wild Wings, or really any other bar. Few vegetarian options, food was abysmal, I do not recommend this place.

Listen to the other reviews, this place is run like crap. So my friends and I(7 of us) come in at about 10:30 on a Friday, they close at 2:00AM Saturday morning so I was sure we had time. There are still people sat down and eating but when we get a table, our waitress informs us they had shut the grill off. What? Well anyhow I guess it’s UNDERSTANDABLE if it’s a slow day and the staff wants to start cleanup. We are told the deep fryers are on and they would be happy to make us anything that requires frying. I ask for a fish sandwich. If you guys don’t know what that entails, they take a frozen fish square from the freezer, pop it in the fryer, and then take 2 buns and put it on. Waitress flat out REFUSES. I ask why due to it being super duper easy, and she just says the chef just won’t be making any sandwiches, WITHOUTEVENASKING. She gives us the menu and points to appetizers and says they can make those, while I am still speechless at this crap. She then suggests we can just go somewhere else. So we did. And it was better than this. Terrible service and a terrible place. If you’re in Dubuque whether living here or on a road trip, don’t come. Go to BWW or Red Robins or any other dime a dozen sports bar.

It was edible. Menu makes the food sound good. When it comes out you quickly realize it is a very low grade and not a lot of flavor.

Very disappointed. Stopped in tonight, with a guest, for dinner. We sat at the bar and were passed by several times without even being greeted. Finally, someone took our drink order. Then, decided to go with the wings. Honestly, we were not a fan. The sauces seemed to be watered down and lacked flavor. On a positive note, though. Our wings were served quickly. Beer is good too. I will not return.

Reminds me of buffalo wild wings the way it’s setup. Bar food is average. Limited draft selection, lots of bottle options. Kind of weird that there is an athletic club attached to a sports bar.

I’ve been there twice. One time during March madness and again yesterday during US vs Portugal World Cup. Both times they seem very understaffed. You would think with such a big space they would have more people working. It seems a bit disorganized at times. It seems like all servers are at the bar at one time and then a minute later they are all gone. I got my bill even before I got my food which I thought was really weird too. If it was more organized and staffed better I would give them more stars.

I give this place a 3 ½ only because their service had always been slow but the food does help make up for that.
