One of the worst experiences in my life. New Year’s Eve. Bartender slams two half full bottles of beer on the bar behind me. Bartender tells me to take a step back. I politely ask what was the problem. Bartender reaches across the bar, grabs my coat, and yelling at me, causing a big scene, take a step back. I politely ask what the problem was again, just yells and tell me to step back. Threatened to punch me. I took 3 steps back. I met some friends there. They had just left about 5 minutes before this happened. I was in the process of finishing my beverage, cause I was in the process of going home myself. If the bartender, I believe his name was joe, had he just waited 5 more minutes, I would have left myself. I will never step foot in this place. Rude bartenders, too small area around the bar, never ever again.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE! It’s pretty nasty. I love bar food and just about every bar your could think of in Dubuque beats this place. The bartender we dealt with had no idea what is in the baskets or in the meals which was our first tip-​off that the food wasn’t going to be good. Some friends and I all ordered burgers and they were mini-​patties and the prices weren’t great considering what you get. AVOID!

Love this place to come in and have couple of drinks and relax.

Very local, very retro. Looks as if it hasn’t changed in years. Super nice staff. Limited domestic beer selection. Good bar food, soups. Dart board. A few 40−42″ flat screens for sports. Like it.
