The food is fantastic. I had a good experience though the service was a little slow. The restaurant was fairly busy. I will definitely be returning for another meal.

Was here tonight and had the filet medalians and salmon. It took a little long but it was worth the wait! After reading the reviews I was a little scared but it was reAlly good!!! Filet was perfect medium rare and salmon was tasty!

Here the evening of Veteran’s day to celebrate with my husband who spent 21 years serving his country. He did appreciate the ribs that were given in honor of that. However, left a sour taste in both ours mouths. No acknowledgement, smile or «happy to have you here». Our waitress admitted to a headache but she was pathetic and the worst we have seen in DBQ or area in a long time. She showed no desire to be there and acted like it was a chore to serve us. Would have rather paid full price for a place that truly wanted the business.

My husband and I we were there last Friday evening and had a great meal at the bar. We both had the ribs and steak combo. The service stunk, we felt ignored and as if we were inconveniencing the bartender. Other servers and customers were waiting forever too. It was ridiculous.

I thought this place had wonderful service and the ribs are excellent. I guess I got lucky. I read some reviews that said the service was bad but my waiter was attentive I didn’t have to wait long at all. We requested outside seating because of the nice view of the river. This place wasn’t over priced I ordered ribs. Overall the service was great, the view was nice and the good was excellent!

We visited Tony’s as a quick last stop as we were leaving gorgeous Dubuque’s riverfront… a fast Sunday lunch before heading back east to Rockford. This is a hotel based restaurant, not a destination of interest visit. We were not staying in the hotel and we were not at the casino, but we were downtown and needed some sustenance. It did not totally suck. It was not completely disgusting, nor was the service horrible. The food ranged from good to ok to subpar. The service was unremarkable. The dining room was not really clean… sticky tables(due to the lack of AC so it was humid inside) and lots of hotel guests with vouchers of some sort. Would I ever go here again? NOPE! I ate and got filled up and paid a big penny for it. That’s about it… Nothing remarkable.

Late spring is the perfect time to enjoy your meal on their outdoor patio. We had a nice evening taking in the great weather! That sure made up for the average service and food. Forgotten drink orders, food not coming out on time together were just a couple things that made the service below average. I had the salmon and it was over cooked and dry. The rib order at our table did get high marks. It says ribs steaks and seafood in their logo but I would stick with the ribs or steaks. Nothing stood out as outstanding so it’s hard to give higher than«average» for my review

Awful. I can’t speak to the dinner side as we thankfully chose to eat at the casino for dinner but breakfast was awful. Service was horrible from the host to the wait staff. We waited forever to be seated and the restaurant was not busy. Once seated, it was freezing cold in the restaurant, unbearably so. The waitress set our drinks down and left. We hunted down the host to get straws. Our food took forever to come out and once it did it was mediocre. Potatoes not cooked all the way through, zero flavor to omelettes, pancakes were like eating sawdust. Once our waitress finally stopped to check on us when we were almost finished with our horrible meal she seemed unsurprised that the food was bad but still just handed us put bill without even an acknowledgement of how awful the whole experience was. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed at the hotel and went here for breakfast. The service was friendly and the wait wasn’t too bad. They were good with my 1 year old. Their breakfast menu didn’t have any small options — example, if you wanted a pancake you had to get a platter of three — you couldn’t order just one. The yogurt parfait was really sweet … Too sugary and thin, whatever brand they use you could taste it wasn’t as high quality as natural Greek yogurt. Otherwise there really wasn’t any healthy options. You do get a big cup of coffee, not the little ones most restaurants offer. Basically: it was okay, prolly not a place I would have gone if we weren’t in the hotel.

Terrible food and even worse service. Mojo chicken was dry and cold, had no flavor. The pineapple salsa tasted of ginger more than pineapple, green beans were shriveled up and looked as though they had been reheated numerous times. The woman who was our server was just a bucket of sunshine, I really don’t know how she was hired. She was really short with us and had no personality. One word answers was all we received. I would never eat here ever again. Such a waste of money and a waste of a birthday celebration. Very disappointed.

I got the steak medallion and shrimp. My boyfriend got the medallion and ribs. The waiter asked us to cut the meat before he left to make sure it was ok. The medallions and loaded potatoes were awesome! I enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp however my boyfriend said the ribs were so so. It was nice to get warm towelettes after dinner! Lol! Very nice place to eat!

Horrible service. We were promptly seated on the patio, then waited 15 minutes for a server to stop by our table. We then went to the bar to get our own drinks, walking right past a group of servers doing nothing more than socializing with each other, and were greeted by a bartender with zero personality and skunky tap beers. To top it off, when we complained we got a server with an attitude who actually told us «looks like I won the lottery» implying that he was stuck with us.

I ordered a filet, well done and told them to butterfly it if necessary; also a baked potato with just butter. My son ordered a sirloin, well done, with fries. Both steaks were still very pink and bloody. They brought mine back out, well done, but no butter for the potato… and it was a sirloin NOT a filet. They brought my son’s back out and it was as if they didn’t bother cooking it more! Three times and they could not get his order correct. Absolutely ridiculous! By this time everybody else was done eating. Oh, and they still charged us for the filet I never got, but did take off the sirloin off the bill. What a very disappointing, frustrating experience. We’ll never waste our time or money there again.

The good: sharable-sized portions of the potato skins(for two, maybe three people). The ambiance wasn’t bad — they didn’t crowd everyone together, and one of the walls had a hypnotizing light show(it amused me, anyway, but I could see it being annoying if I was across from it). The bad: 1) The skins needed salt. I think they could have done with some ketchup or other sauce, but all they came with was sour cream. 2) The waitress forgot my husband’s salad. She didn’t offer a second side, and we were not compensated for the missing food. 3) The size of my husband’s filets were shockingly small for the price($ 20). I’m talking: two of the three were barely larger than a half dollar coin(and cut fairly thin, so if they were much more than 2oz of meat each, I’d be surprised). The mashed potato portion was ok under normal circumstances, but he had more potatoes than he had meat! I ended up giving him one of my filets(which were a normal size), but made both of us sad. 4) I ordered the filet and rib combo(for $ 22). The filet that I got to eat was ok — nothing to write home about, except that it was actually cooked properly(deathglare to almost every place else in town, which believes that rare means medium). It came with the wine sauce, and it was meh. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were ok. The ribs were not that good, but I was starving and ate them anyway. 5) The service, in general, was really, really slow. We were there for almost two hours, and it was almost all waiting for food(given the tiny portion size for the price!). 6) Before getting to my car, my stomach started gurgling the death march. Never a good sign when you’ve got gas issues minutes of leaving — even less so when you get stuck behind the train. :s All in all? We spent $ 57 for a bad meal with worse service. Honestly, for that price, you should just walk across the parking lot to Woodfire Grill. I certainly wish we had. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Updated 2÷2÷2013, regarding Tina’s comment below: I contacted Tina, like she asked me to below, and got a form to fill out & was told the local establishment would get in contact with me. After a few months of hearing nothing, I send Tina a follow-up email, letting her know I haven’t heard anything back. She said that they should get in contact with me by Friday(yesterday). Still no word. I’m disappointed that the local management isn’t following through with corporate’s attempt to(as she said) «make things right».

Perfect place if you’re looking for reheated-in-the-deep-frier/microwave-might-as-well-have-cooked-it-myself-at-home-using-the-microwave/how-much-is-this-costing-me-and-they-can’t-even-finish-cooking-the-wings-and-skins appetizers. Oh — and how do you mess up orange juice?! They added sugar — tons of sugar to it! My OJ tasted like Tang.
