Salon Khouri

I have been getting the exact same haircut by the closest barber for 20 years. My wife recommended Salon Khouri for suggestions on something new. I was greeted by a friendly staff, offered a drink and was asked to sit down in the hair washing chair. I remember these from years ago where you sit in the most uncomfortable chair in the world and arch your neck on sink that felt like a torture device.
Their equipment was amazing. I sat in a massage chair and it was actually a relaxing experience. Now I understand why my wife enjoys this versus my rushed trip to the barber.
I was given a great hair cut and more importantly I was given some style ideas and a plan for the future.

My first time here — from the moment I walked in, the entire staff was warm and inviting. Heidi did wash and blow out and Judy did brow wax. Both excellent and will absolutely go back!

First time here and it was great! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Gale did my wax and made sure it was as painless as possible! Most important thing — the wax room was clean! No double dipping with the wands (which is extremely important!). I definitely will be going back (already scheduled my next appointment!)

Since Salon Khouri just opened, my family and I decided to try it out for my brother’s wedding to get an updo. Since this is a pricier salon and their Fairfax location had great reviews, we trusted for the hairstylists to be amazing at doing our hair for the wedding. We were soooo wrong and sooo disappointed! Lei was out hairstylists for all 4 women attending such a important wedding. We all had photos of what we wanted our updos to look like and she was no where near what the picture showed. Lei couldn’t even properly tease the front of our hair or do a proper bun in the back. We were so shocked and my mom couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave without paying to quickly go elsewhere so her hair could be done properly. My aunts hair was done so messy and so simple and wrong that they had to wash her hair all over again and do it from scratch. Even the 2^nd time around, it was not to be considered a real «updo». She basically took all the hairs in our back and bobby pinned them to the back of our head without any style added. Please don’t waste your time and money to do an updo here… you will regret it!!! Horrible experience!!!

Judy is AMAZING! I had an appointment at 4:30, but due to a traffic and an accident I was almost 30 minutes late. I called and spoke to Julia, who thanked me for calling and said they could still see me. I walked in extremely apologetic and was brought to the back room for a facial. This facility is new and is stunning! I told Judy that she could cut my facial short since I was so late, but she told me not to worry about it. We began the facial and from the first product to the last product she explained what each one was and what it did. The facial ended with an amazing shoulder, facial, hand and foot massage. A lot of places will try to push you into buying products, but Judy simply asked if I was interested and let me know that she would set them up front for me if I decided I wanted them. Judy is great at what she does and is very personable and professional. Julia at the front is very friendly and professional as well. Thanks to both of them for making my experience an enjoyable one! I will be back

I went to Salon Khouri specifically because Kamen Leung now works there. Kamen is truly wonderful, and takes the time to really talk to her clients and ask questions to understand what they are trying to accomplish as well as being meticulous about what she is doing.. And when you do something truly awful to your hair at home (like I did), Kamen did a beautiful job of correcting the color, and giving me a style that I can really work with (I have very straight, very fine hair). I really appreciate her desire to continue to learn her craft by taking classes and seminars to stay current. I know she will always be able to recommend something that I will be happy with.
The salon itself is very nice, and I felt comfortable there even though it was my first visit. Everyone smiled and greeted me. I like that the clients are not immediately visible from the waiting area or outside the salon. I especially enjoyed the massaging chairs at the hair washing station. Unlike many massage chairs that make you feel like you’ve been at the receiving end of a boxing match with a kangaroo, these are gentle, rolling massages that were so relaxing.
I really love this place.

My first time here and it’s really close to home before 2 mins away from South Riding. Got Judy for Facial and she was wonderful. One of the best facial ever and would definitely go back.
