Today was my second time coming. The first experience I tried the shave ice and it wasn’t so bad. Today I order the Vietnamese house special sandwich(Banh mi Thap cam) and the black tea boba. The sandwich is less than mediocre, to say the least. I don’t know whether it was the tea or the sandwich, but 30mins later I had a horrible stomach ache. I won’t be coming back again. What a big disappointment!

All of us were having a case of sweet tooth so we hit this place up. It had a variety of options to satisfy your cravings. I went with a thai ice tea with boba. It was legit thai tea and the boba tasted great with it. I also had to try one of their froyo/gelato flavors since it was popcorn. It truly tasted like popcorn in a kettle corn type of way. My first time seeing it like that and I was impressed with how they pulled it off. The service was great and my big group of friends all got our orders to us pretty quick. I am kinda jealous my friends live so close to this place to get their sweet fix.

While picking up Papa Johns next door, we spotted 5t Ice and decided to bookmark it. This is now the closest bubble tea/froyo place to my crib. The cashier is friendly and quick. Plenty of indoor seating. Everything is kept neat and clean in here. They have a wide variety of drinks, cool treats, desserts, snacks, etc. Tried the Halo Halo and a Banh Mi. Their Halo Halo was on point. I wasn’t a big fan of their Banh Mi though. The bread was good and the veggies were fresh but the pork was served cold(slightly frozen) and lacked flavor. I really wanted to try some of their other Vietnamese goodies, but since I came on a weekday, I don’t think they offered it. Overall, I’m glad we have a dessert place closer to home. I’ll be back to try more of their specialty drinks.

5T Ice is located right off Loudoun County Parkway near RT50. At first I thought this place was located in Sterling near Dulles Town Center. Every thing I’ve ordered here has been delicious from the Buko Pandan, Che Thai, to the 5T Special. I can’t wait to come back and try more. Definitely a place to try.

I seriously love this place. I used to frequent Tutti Frutti, owned by the same people, but 5T opened much closer to where I live. Yay! In addition to frozen yogurt and gelato(including hard-to-find durian), they serve Patbingsu — shaved ice topped with ice cream, fruits, and syrups. I really like the coconut and ube bingsu with coconut shavings, sweetened condensed milk, and ube ice cream. They also have bubble tea, smoothies, milkshakes, and other various similar drinks. I really like the Che Thai — a Vietnamese drink with coconut milk, grass jelly, coconut jelly, pomegranate jelly, lychee, jackfruit, and toddy palm. It is crazy good. If sweet is not your thing they also have steamed pork buns, sticky rice with Chinese sausage, and other goodies.

Me and my boyfriend both ordered the boba smoothies I got strawberry and he got coconut. We usually get boba smoothies at fair oaks mall or Shilla bakery in centreville. Both of us only took a couple sips before throwing them away. We both agreed it had a funny taste.

We just moved to Brambleton from Centreville and we needed to find a new go-to Korean dessert place. This is it! They have good thai tea(not too sweet so I recommend adding jelly to it), good macaroons, and the best chocolate milkshake! My husband has tried a couple of their bing-soo selections, very authentic. They also have a great foryo & gelato section. Whether you want to try exotic desserts, or have a more traditional frozen treat, this is a cool little spot in Dulles West, check it out.

Nice addition to the south riding area! I’ve been here a few times and all of the deserts I’ve tried have been fantastic. My favorite is the coconut sweet rolls. Not too sweet and has the right crunch. I’ve also tried their Banh mi which is a sub sandwich with pork. I would prefer freshly made ones but it still satisfy the cravings.

Got their frequent customer card and saw that they also own the Tutti Frutti in Chantilly. I usually go to the latter for Pat Bingsu, so having a place closer to home that serves it is a bonus! No battling with Route 50 traffic for my fix. Hurray! Traffic gets me down. Avoiding traffic makes me happy.

If you’re craving for Asian dessert, especially Taho, Mais con Yelo, Buko Pandan and Halo Halo, 5T is the place to go to!!! Their boba drinks are also great!

This place is good for Korean and Filipino desserts and drinks. They also have gelato and frozen yogurt for those not into the drinks. I’m glad they bought something like this to the Dulles Landing area. It beats having to go to Annadale or Centreville.

5t Ice in the Dulles Landing shopping center reminds me of that froyo place in Chantilly off Lee Road. They have bottles of iced coffee from Lee’s Coffee to go; I picked up their home made house coffee(with jelly, not boba) which is just as good. I haven’t tried the gelato or ice cream yet, but I had two of their Vietnamese snacks for lunch. Bánh giò is mushroom and ground pork stuffed gelatinous rice flour dumpling wrapped in banana leaf; a bit peppery, just the way that my grandma would make it. Bánh bao is the little bun with pork, Chinese sausage, and egg inside. The menu is full of Filipino, Vietnamese, and other Asian styled desserts. The display counter showed off slices of cake, boxes of pirouette cookies, and macaroons. Highly likely that I will stop by later today for the chè ba màu. Geographically speaking, this side of Sterling is closer to South Riding and Aldie than the Sterling up north by the Dulles Town Center. Mini-update: che ba mau(5c) is different, in a good way.
