Chicken and beer? Yes please! I could eat chicken wings all day, and I know Korean fried chicken and beer is a slightly faded fad. But cravings don’t lie. I’ve always noticed this restaurant coming to Danmooji, but never had the chance to stop in. For my last meal before my unfortunate diet, I decided fried chicken and beer was the way to go. I got a beer to go with my hot tea. Just kidding, I was ready for some Yuengling and chicken wings. If you need the server, ring the LITERAL bell at your table. It felt weird, like I was ringing a bell for class to start or something. Interesting concept that really threw me off. I don’t know how the server could tell which table she was supposed to go to, but since we were the first table, she seemed to notice that way. My friends and I ordered a few things to share: Mozzarella sticks — not my favorite. They weren’t anything special and the dip that it came with wasn’t the best for dipping, consistency wise. Flavor was a faint marinara, but it was hard to tell with so little of it. Garlic Chicken — pretty tasty. I love onions and garlic, so this really hit the spot, especially with my beer. Hot and sizzling, it’s worth a try! Sweet Potato pizza — meh. It was super cheesy and not super special. The sweet potato on top was pretty interesting, but other than that, it wasn’t great. It all came with some pickled radishes and«salad». I’m a huge fan of thousand island dressing, so I felt like I devoured that entire salad. Not the best Korean fried chicken I’ve had, but a solid effort.

The best chicken wings place ever. It’s marinated just right. A whole chicken for a good price. They bring it out so fast after you order too. Just try for yourself if you’re in Duluth, GA!

Besides the language barrier, the food was great! We came on a Thursday lunch around 2, it’s located in the nukoa plaza behind 7 coffee… By VIP pool. The place was pretty dead but our food did take about 20 – 25 min. But it was worth it! $ 16 for 2. The lady was nice and boxed my Togo for me. That was nice! The only thing is that they did not give is a lunch menu even bough you see the chalk board advertising it by the door. We couldn’t really communicate with the lady bc she didn’t speak English. We just said«lunch special…2» and she just brought us some crispy chicken and soup. Pretty good! Comes with the pickled radish(I think) and a salad with a lil ball of rice. Great portions !!

The chicken was dried inside and soggy outside. Probably, i should have driven extra miles out there to get to Cheo-ga-jib. Dont waste your time and money in this if you are looking for Korean style fried chickens.

The chicken here is the best out of all of my regular Korean Chicken places! I love the Soy Sauce chicken~~ And, we ordered Sweet Potato Pizza too! The other kind of chicken seen here is the Mildly Spicy Chicken. They were kind enough to give us a «service»(i.e. Free order) of onion rings *^^* Would highly recommend, but the only reason it is 4⁄5 stars is because I have another favorite Korean Pizza place that wins over A Chon Dak’s pizza, but I would highly recommend this place for Korean style chicken and the nice atmosphere of enclosed seating along with lots of tvs to watch Korean shows!

Second time eating here. I love their sweet and spicy whole chicken! It is spicy and delicious. Also tried their green onion chicken and garlic chicken which was so-so. Would recommend to anyone who loves eating chicken with beer.

Chicken looks pretty fancy and it was pretty tasty, but it just wasn’t THE korean chicken. It tasted more like a glorified Chinese General Tso’s or sweet and sour. Oh well.

I was excited to hear that a new Korean chicken place opened up that’s a little closer than Lover Letter(Cheo-Gat-Jib). So my gf and I went to check it out. Nice looking place, has a comfortable feel to it. Never seen so many TVs in one confined area. Walled sections to give you some privacy. It really looks like they put in a lot of effort on the décor. Wish they had spent more time on the food First off, I love all things fried-chicken, so maybe I’m a bit of a poultry-snob. Being our first time, they told us that their garlic chicken and sweet potato pizza were the most popular options. Great! A nice cold Yuengling on tap for cheap. Nice! As I tried to multitask watching Running Man(Korean TV show) and pay attention to my lady, I sipped a well poured pint, anticipating the fried goodness that was on its way. And it finally came out in this round black stone hot plate. Looks good so far. First bite into a well portioned size of chicken and… well that’s about it. The chicken lacked that crispy and juicy crunch that we all love about fried chicken. I love to cook but ain’t no expert, but it tasted like the chicken was cooked in overused, dirty oil. Almost seemed refried. The seasoning of the so called garlic chicken was overpowered by the borderline burnt taste and soft skin. Disappointing. The pizza — well it was decent. Not something I’d go out of my way to go eat, but not a bad option. The pizza is give 3 stars. But for the chicken… rather eat Popeyes. Again, this place is like they tried to make it a cool, fun place to grab a beer and some chicken, but wish they spent more time on the food.

Omg yum! The ma dak(garlic chicken– slightly sweet) and regular yangnyum chicken(spicy) is so good! You have the option to get half and half if you can’t decide and want to eat both. They have a pa dak(green onion chicken) as well, and it’s delicious but the green onions are raw on top of the chicken so if you’re watching ur breath that night, it would be better to stick with the other two options. What’s also good about korean chicken is that it comes with salad and some pickled radish that you eat with the chicken! There was a special for the beer, i dont quite remember the price, but just ask your waiter! The beer is served in a icy cold glass and is just perfect with the chicken and a side of mozzarella sticks. They are mouth-wateringly delicious. Service is great, they have little bells that you can ring if you need to order or if you need anything else. Typically, they will give you your bill, and you’d have to go up to the front and pay, but if they take too long to give you your bill, just go up to the front and they’ll ring you up. Make sure to look at your bill and make sure everything is correct because one time, they gave me the bill for another table and it was MORE than my bill. Not good. Anyway, if you’re in duluth and craving korean chicken, this is the place to go. Afterwards, if you’re too full, you can stop by White windmill, hang out, and have some tea(or whatever you want to drink)! :)

This place is very similar to chicken and beer, focusing primarily on chicken and pizza. The pizza crust is very crispy — I highlight recommend the sweet potato and bulgogi pizza choices. They definitely don’t cheat you out of ingredients. The sweet as spicy chicken and garlic chicken are both really good as well. Warning — the place is somewhat small and there is a limited number of booths, so it will be hard to fit groups larger than 5⁄6

Not a bad fried chicken and pizza experience, but not the best I’ve had. The goguma pizza is pretty standard, and is pretty good. We had a whole fried chicken and a sweet spicy sauce chicken. If you like your Korean style friend chicken with a slight crisp on the outside with not yet dry batter inside, then this is more like 3 stars. But I personally don’t. Also the chicken isn’t too dry, but they also use parts of the chicken that are cheap and have a lot of bone. Not too much meat for buck. Conclusion: If you want a great Korean fried chicken experience, stick with harue, love letter, or joy pizza joy chicken.

Good korean fried chicken place in the area. Toreore is my go to, but it was closed that day so we decided to come here. It’s a pretty busy place. We had to wait an hour for our chicken(ordered to go). It’s located in a shopping complex so we just walked around there. We got the soy sauce chicken and the garlic. Garlic was ok, but the soy sauce chicken was awesome! Def going to come back for soy sauce chicken.

When I heard that there was finally another Korean-style friend chicken restaurant around Atlanta, I was excited. However, my visit was disappointing. I had the sweet and spicy boneless chicken. If I had to do a blind taste test, I would say that I was eating sesame chicken at your local Chinese-American restaurant named Imperial Palace. The bone-in chicken would have tasted much, much better. Still the sweet and spicy sauce didn’t hit the spot. The balance of sweet and savory was off. Joy Pizza N Joy Chicken by Johns Creek does a much better job in this department. The types of chicken they have are boneless and bone-in whole chicken with garlic-based, scallion-based, and sweet and spicy flavors. Each order is good for one-and-a-half people. They have other dishes too such as fried Korean peppers, which we had and were actually really good: crispy with a nice kick. Now this is a plate I can behind. They also have Korean-style pizza, which I didn’t try. The overall layout is clean and comfortable and service was solid. They also have beer on tap. Given the scarcity of Korean-style fried chicken restaurants around Atlanta, I will probably come back and give other dishes a try and hopefully those will be better.

New Korean-style fried chicken place. Had the sweet and spicy whole chicken and grilled chicken gizzards. If you’ve had Korean-style fried chicken at other places in Atlanta, you’ll know that the way they butcher their chicken is a little different and may not be ideal for you. They have just chicken breasts if you want them so you may want to try that out. Looked over their menu and they seem to have reasonable prices for beer and as good of a mix fried chicken is with beer, I don’t know too many places in Atlanta that serve that combination. Service was friendly, food was fine, would try them again.
