Best Americano & latte we’ve had in the area so far(Having lived in Seattle for over a decade & working as a barista there we are pretty big coffee snobs). The shot pours were excellent. Not much of a pastry selection but that’s ok, we came for the coffee.

The coffee is SOEXCELLENT. Atmospherically, it can be very loud and hard to find a place to sit, but when your coffee is this good, of course there will be loads of patrons!

4 stars because of the physical location. A little sterile and awkward to me. Coffee is 5 stars. I have no idea what the reviewer who gave this place one star was talking about, unless that person really likes gas station coffee or folgers or church coffee or whatever. To each their own I guess. If you like really good coffee, this is the go to place in town. I have become a bit of a coffee snob and have been able to have coffee from some of the country’s greatest coffee shops, like Intelligentsia in Chicago, Dogwood in Minneapolis, Collectivo in Milwaukee, Iconik in Santa Fe and Blue Bottle in San Francisco for examples. This place holds it’s own with any of those in the taste of the coffee. Unfortunately, it also holds it’s own in prices too, for which craft coffees seem to be getting a little out of hand to me. I like coffee that is full flavored and smooth and this fits the bill. Not the cheapest, but it is the best in town in my opinion.

Disappointing. The drinks we order were white chocolate and hazelnut mochas. Neither drink had any flavor and were barely warm. Ended up tossing these and went to a gas station.

My 15 year old son loves coffee, so I brought him here after a recent essay he wrote on coffee, he likes the roasting machine inside the café.

I stopped for a morning break while visiting Duluth for a couple days. This shop was right in downtown and so wonderful. The coffee slingers spent some time talking with me about various brewing techniques and were very knowledgable. The shop also had a nice vibe and a lot of cute knick knacks for sale. I tried the Papua New Guinea in the French press and it was phenomenal. The nearby street parking can be tricky if you aren’t a local, which is the biggest hang up.

One of the most deliciously distinctly-flavoured espresso drinks I’ve had. It had a very different almost incense smell and flavour to it that was not unpleasant. It didn’t taste like any mocha I’d had before and that’s really something. The inside is a little smoky on account of the roaster being right next to the till. Weaker lungs might have a problem with that, but I didn’t mind smelling of roasted coffee beans for a while after.

Excellent coffee and particularly the caramel mocha. Quaint shop and really enjoyable as atmosphere.

While in town visiting family, we decided to venture out to a new-to-us coffee shop. Duluth Coffee is situated in the fun downtown of Duluth, MN. Plenty of parking on a Saturday morning. Plenty of shops to check out after. As for the coffee shop itself, we found it hard to enjoy the modern atmosphere — we brought our kids — not DC fault. Some coffee shops are more family friendly then others, DC was not, nor was it meant to be. The coffee was ok. I had a carmel vanilla latte and my husband had a brew of the day. I found his brew very bitter. I was actually really disappointed. I was hoping to purchase some whole beans to take home, we decided not to. My CV latte was ok, not great. The service and clientele were a bit on the … quirky… side. Maybe we just came in on an unusual day.

Great way to start the day. The awesome music on vinyl record, the great people that work there and most importantly a place that knows how to make coffee. Support this local coffee shop please. It be nice to see this local shop expand and represent Duluth and the great artistic laid back outdoorsy place that it is. my coffee background: Manager of a Starbucks in Lahaina, Hi –Front street Transferred to a location in Southern California. Then later joined a less corporate local shop to help expand called ChocoBean. LOVEIT, LIVEIT! CHB

Duluth Coffee Company makes a pretty good cuppa, I will give them that. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. I really enjoy that they offer their own roasted beans by the bag and that the sizes are small, medium and large(seriously, who orders a venti anything… moving on…) My particular favorite here is the Café Miel, which is a lovely light and sweet latte made with honey. I also really enjoy that they always feature some art from local artists and photographers on the walls. Coffee can take awhile coming out, but I am willing to wait. Prices are reasonable and generally slightly cheaper than a particular green and white logoed competitor down the street. A local business that should be patronized by more people, more frequently, period.

Review #600 Love, love, love Duluth Coffee Company. Absolutely every visit to Duluth requires a stop(or five) here. I usually get a traditional Macchiato while standing at the bar, and then a medium drip cup of something to go. Staff is always friendly… Free WiFi inside Good tunes spinning on their cute LP player These location is very knowledgable and passionate about their beans. Well done DCC!

It’s nice to get real chai and not something weird from a box. It’s good hot, blended, an iced and they will make it their style each time. The parking here is a pain, thanks Duluth. But this place is worth the trouble. They roast their own beans so it always smells nice.

Beans roasted on site, great background music playing, cozy café in downtown Duluth, what more could you ask for? I am so delighted when I come across the kind of coffee shop that knows how to produce a latte that makes you want to sit & savor… read the Sunday paper, completely content to enjoy watching the rest of the world go about their day.

Stopped in here yesterday on my last day of a little vacation. A coworker of mine recommended this place, because she knows I like good coffee. However, I was sure I would just find a glorified Caribou. I was wrong! Duluth Coffee Co is a modern, small, but bright, quality coffee shop. The drinks were reasonably priced and the latte I had was perfect. Espresso was strong, but smooth, milk was perfectly steamed. They were also roasting their own beans when we walked in, which always impresses me. If you’re in Duluth and want good coffee, stop here!
