I went out of my way to this shop several mornings on my last trip to Duluth. They have a rotating coffee choices that are roasted in house. They also have homemade baked goods, particularly good scones and muffins. I loved the peach and raspberry scone. The banana nut muffin was so smooth and almost creamy in texture and with a lot of banana flavor. They offer quite a big seating area on two levels, too, so it’s a good space to sit with a few friends for a chat.

This Dunn Bros is one of my favorites in the state. The full log cabin building and interior décor fit well with Duluth. Ususally busy but also usually has a table or chair available. Same great Dunn Bros coffee. Good location near the northern terminus of Lake Superior. Can’t comment on the drive-through as I never use it.

I nice stop in East Duluth. Baristas are great, coffee is good. Atmoshere is quieter than other shops. No music, limited parking. But very nice.

Chai Tea with soy pretty good. Here at noon and it is eerily quiet. No music playing. Feels strange and like I should be studying and not visiting.

I love only this location. The coffee is good. The parking is a mess. Tiny parking lot and the nearby streets are dicey. You have to really look at the parking signs or risk a ticket. We’ve only been once, but since I loved the«northwoods cabin» feel of it, I’d go if I could walk to it.

I am reviewing the drive through only here. I always wait EXTRALONG in the drive through. In fact if there ar 2 cars waiting, I never stop… I just keep on going. Again yesterday, we waited at least 8 – 10 minutes from start of order to receiving. We ordered two hot cocoas this time and they were received luke warm and the whipped cream was melted away. Seems like we were forgotten about for this time. My daughter(22) was so irritated! She said«you told me its a long wait, but this is ridiculous» How about more staff on ???

We found this little gem after our san francisco foodie senses were offended by a rather appalling«breakfast» at our nearby hotel. Perhaps one of the best coffee shops we’ve been to, even compare to our trendy SF ones. Amazing service — super friendly and at 11am even checked how quickly our lunch sandwich could be ready. Highly recommend!

Standard fare for a coffee shop — my mocha was good — 4 shots of espresso kept me up all night, but that’s my fault! Lots of students studying so hard to find a chair

Hey Dunn Brothers! Just an FYI for you, your staff, and your customers… the City of Duluth is ticketing cars parked on the avenue — a common place to park given your teenie-tiny parking lot. I saw 6 cars with tickets today. Perhaps you should make your customers aware of this danger when they come to spend money at your coffee house. Thanks.

Nice place to spend a rainy afternoon in Duluth. The girl working the counter this afternoon was very friendly and had great customer service.

On a street lined with fast food shops and surrounded by hotels with atrocious breakfast, Dunn Bros is an oasis of charm. They have excellent coffee, Mighty Leaf tea, and tasty treats that can see you through breakfast or lunch. The staff is polite and helpful. The coffee shop itself is welcoming and tastefully decorated. In fact, the only thing that’s missing is a view of the lake, but it had that too, then I would be compelled to give it six stars.

The coolest, coziest Dunn Bros I’ve been to. Very-much an up-north, cabin-style vibe. A bit like a Caribou but with better coffee! Large, free-standing log building. Lots of room to hang and a neat loft sitting area. Dedicated off-street parking.

I am always on the look-out for a decent coffee shop. My chosen profession involves driving all over the Upper Midwest and I can only go so long without a caffeine fix. In the past this meant nasty gas station coffee. The prospect of consuming this sludge was so off-putting that I would drive until I could drive no more before resigning to my fate. Now I can safely navigate the highways and byways of the Arrowhead region buzzing on Dunn Bros. excellent coffee. Last November I found myself on the ass end of a three day slog through the Northwoods. I had about four cups of coffee at lunch in Ely but it was well past two when I finally left the site and made my way down CR2 toward Two Harbors. I didn’t have much left in the tank. I figured I could find something nice there, but the singular coffee shop I could find had closed ten minutes prior to my arrival. I pushed down Hwy 61 figuring on getting something terrible at the Holiday station on London, but something possessed me to keep driving, leading me straight to Dunn Brothers. The travel mug was filled and I was safely on my way back to Madison, and I was stoked to find another oasis. On my subsequent trip last month I ended up staying in Duluth the second night, getting to the hotel shortly after 5. I’d had a late lunch and wasn’t hungry, but I did need to warm up and check my email. Dunn Brothers was perfect for this. I ordered a Full City roast Salvadorian coffee, briefly considering a depth charge, and proceeded to deal with all the emails that had accumulated. I probably could have stayed all night, but after I had finished my second cup of this excellent coffee I decided to head back to the hotel. I popped through the drive-thru the next morning to fill up the traveler — so much better than hotel coffee — and proceeded to head north. I’m so happy that I’ve found this place, and I’d be a lot happier if there were more of them along my usual routes.
