There was a very limited selection of good wine here. The selection of wine and beer at this store was more geared towards college kids drinking on a tight budget. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to buy wines if you are hosting a nice dinner party.

I didn’t completely scour this location from top-to-bottom, so it may not be a thorough review. Just a quick pit stop before we got on the road back to Minneapolis. I wanted to try some of Duluth’s new beer — — Bent Paddle.(Brewery wasn’t opened yet, so I searched online to where I could find; and Lake Aire showed up as a source.) Decent sized store, with a decent selection. Price for a 6 pack of Bent Paddle was $ 10.99.(The beer was good — and that’s a fair price; i guess, for local craft beer.) Conveniently located at the most top(north) spot of 35; so very easy to get back on the road and go. Quick visit — in and out. Beer purchased — mission accomplished.

Love the local small town feel without having to go n2 town. Could use a bigger selection but still rather give them my business anyway

Pretty decent prices and very friendly service. Cash Wise Liquor up on the hill may have slightly better prices on some things, but Lake Aire has the service and convenience. If you are heading up north or along the shore, definitely hit this before you leave DLH.

Cheap cheap cheap!!! Maybe my definition of cheap is skewed slightly by Chicago’s liquor taxes… But my brother-in-law and I stopped here to pick up the booze for the evening campfire and we easily filled a cart with all the necessary fix-ins. Best of all, our cart’s total came out to only like $ 35 including tax!!! Stock up here before heading further north on Highway 61, because it’s slim picking from here on up. If you’re not a native Minnesotan, FYI, the liquor laws are pretty Puritanical… No liquor stores open on Sundays!!!

Wholly solid liquor store situated at the northern terminus of I-35. Stop here to purchase quality liquor before heading to points north, or risk finding only sub-par rotgut at the various small town establishments encountered hereafter. A decent selection of beer and wine is also available. Prices are fair considering the northern locale and the dearth of local competition.
