Language of Hair

I love the team at Language of Hair in Duluth! I am a hairdresser myself and Fay is my go to stylist, even if I have to drive from Minneapolis to Duluth to see her. The rest of the team is great too, Sue Ellen at the front desk is the ultimate in charm and customer service. This team works together to assure that every guest is happy. They are busy so I suggest booking in advance.

While visiting Duluth for my brother’s wedding, the bridal party came here to get our hair and makeup did the morning of the wedding. My SIL did a great job picking out the salon — we all really looked beautiful!
They opened on a Sunday morning just for us. They let us sip our mimosas and snack on treats and just had a great layout for all of us to chat while others were getting worked on. The stylist was able to make all the bridemaids hair a little different and did it SO quickly too! The makeup artist did a great job and really listened to all of our wants and literally we looked like super stars walking out of there.
The one hang-​up I had was that it seemed pretty pricey… even to a girl who lives in Southern CA and has to pay more for everything. We were charged more than the price list that was in the salon. SO, I’m not sure if the bride had negotiated a different rate or if we just got a bum deal. $sixty for makeup and another $sixty for an updo is a lot… especially when I really only had eye makeup applied.
I don’t live in the area, so I won’t be rushing back. LOH served our purpose and we all looked stunning… especially the bride and she’s all we truly cared about anyway (rightfully so!)
I may just suggest shopping around a bit for some better prices…

Still five star service — and still one of the best massages ever!
Not only is Judy one of the nicest ladies ever she also gives a fantastic massage! I always feel so much better when I’m done. The massage room is by far the most relaxing, comfortable, calming, room I have ever been in for a massage. Sented slightly, warm, clean, and inviting. Judy even makes sure to leave a glass of water waiting for you once the massage is over along with chocolate and organic apples. Sometimes I think an hour is not enough!
I may just have to make it to Duluth more often just to pamper myself! I wish I could find such a relaxing and affordable place to get a massage where I live.

Recently got my haircut here by Emily. She was wonderful! She did a really nice job on my hair. The consultation was thorough, and she helped me make some decisions I was unsure about. She’s great! Language of Hair has also been around for quite some time so they must be doing something right!
