Pizza wasn’t anything special. MESSY! Hardest pizza to eat I’ve ever had. Super greasy. Have to have a fork to really eat it. And that’s saying a lot coming from a college student. Over priced for what it was.

The pizza would have been much better if the guy working didn’t take forever to take my pizza out. Turned out a bit black on the bottom. Prices are pretty good though.

Lee’s is awesome! In high school we’d get pizza to go late-late at night and sit on the steps of the overpass to I-35 and watch the traffic in the summer. I’m glad it’s still there and still good.

Lee’s pizza has similar pizza to Pizza Man and the VIP. However, out of the three, VIP is better, I was a bit surprised. Lee’s was good, not great but a solid place to get a pizza. More expensive, no specials. No online menu available.

Once upon a time, there was a local small pizza chain in Duluth, called«Mr. Franks». Some years ago, Mr. Franks«West», at 21st Avenue West and Superior Street, was taken over by Lee, and dubbed«Lee’s Pizza.» Lee maintained the Mr. Frank’s recipe, which is a good, if not great, substitute, if one has just had enough of Sammy’s. Lee retired a couple of years ago, but the place was recently named to the top in a reader poll at the Duluth News Tribune. Although I will always love Sammy’s, I’m partial to Lee’s, because for six months, I lived in a little apartment above the place, and Lee and I became good friends. It’s good to have a friend in the pizza business.
