Hard to miss as we stayed in The Suites next door, which is why it has been the obvious — easy — choice on numerous occasions. Service was good on most visits, with one notable exception where we were basically made to leave in the middle of(a mediocre tasting) dessert. We were asked repeatedly whether we are done yet, to which we politely declared that we intended to stay for a couple drinks. They brought the check anyway, while we were still eating, without further comment. For no apparent reason. That said, no hard feelings, it is nice that they are open late, and the ale crust pizza is decent enough to be washed down with a pint or two.

I’ve been to this Old Chicago a few dozen times. Always great service but just the regular Old Chicago food so you have to judge places for what they are. The bar staff are always attentive.

Ok Pizza, good beer selections, not much else is memorable. I used to like Old Chicago a lot, but now it just feels corporatey and bland.

On a Sunday it was the worst service I had ever had. The manager was sitting with customers, being unprofessional and the service was horrible. It literally took 25 minutes to close out our tab… when the restaurant had no more then 25 people total.

This place has pretty good service. As good of service as you can get when you’re a broke college kid looking for some $ 3 pizzas! The service can be pretty slow .I don’t expect much, but hey it could be worse! They have a lot of beer options and the bar is usually busy late into the evening. It’s a pretty good place to catch a sports game. It’s a cool place to hang with your friends every now and then. My only other complaint is the décor needs to be cleaned. I’ll still keep coming back though.

Old Chicago is a decent place to grab a bite to eat, certainly a great place to get some pizza or a calzone, but the one in Duluth could use a remodel for the prices they charge. Old Chicago is better as a bar that serves food then a full on restaurant. There are better options in Duluth for family dining. You are looking at spending $ 14−24−35 for their homemade pizza’s based on size, so it’s definitely a little pricier. That being said Old Chicago is great place to go to watch a football game and throw down some pizza and beers and that is why they have plenty of regulars.

The service was nice but the buffalo wings were not good. They texture of the meat was really strange. I would not recommend getting them especially since the tall size was nearly $ 12. Definitely not worth the price. My boyfriend got the pizza lunch special and seemed to enjoy it. Another friend got a ruben sandwich and said that it was good. There are quite a few options on the menu so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

The best pizza I have ever had! The thin crust(really crunchy!) Kick’n Canadian Bacon is just amazing. It has cream cheese with jalapenos, mozz. cheese, pepper-jack cheese, Canadian bacon, diced tomatoes, green onions, and red sauce. I don’t like super-hot, and it wasn’t. It just had a little spice to it. Oh, my!!! We loved it. The service was A+++ on a Saturday night. We didn’t even have to wait for a seat. Super attentive waiter. We will be back(probably very soon. ;)

Stopped in for a quick lunch before our cruise and the food was amazing. Staff was very friendly which was great to see. Price of our meal was very reasonable.

we came here for dinner one time during one of our duluth getaways. all we had was a drink, an 8 inch pizza and wings. my wife loved her drink. she kept on raving about it. we both shared the pizza and wings which was just the perfect amount of food for us. we always order more food than we should but it was just enough. we left satisfied. even the service was good. would definitely come back.

We had a great time, great food and awesome service. Our server Lisa was the best we have had in a long time! She was fast and friendly. Over all a 5 star experience.

A little expensive but I enjoy going to watch football games. The staff is friendly. Great spot for large parties! Everything I have tried on the menu has been great. Besides the cost of some options– it’s a nice place.

Needed a nearby restaurant good for a vegetarian and a celiac, and this fit the bill. My celiac Mom had the gluten-free pizza, which she enjoyed. I had the build your own mac and cheese, which I could probably eat every day. This is a great choice in the area.

Barely edible, srsly. Go to Green Mill across the St or Pizza Luce. Ordered«Deep Dish.» Greasy, cold when I picked it up on time, crust comparable to cardboard. Maybe the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It’s safe to say that this is barely food for humans. Needed a shower after the chicken wings. Go to the grocery store and get a microwave pizza instead. To be fair, the chocolate chip cookie was competitive because the grease compliments the chocolate. That’s the reason for the single star. Otherwise, zero. I’ve been going to this Old Chicago for years but it’s been about three years since I’ve been. It’s always been mediocre. It’s gone downhill or this is the worst night in history. I’m going to go wash the grease off my phone now.

This five star rating is based off of one employee that managed to change the hostess position forever. That man’s name is Ben William Fall. His poise during times of adversity are justifiably the best in the game. I once saw this man sing Old Chicago’s rendition of «Happy Birthday» simultaneously serving a family of 6 with eight-count um EIGHT pub pizzas. The feat is known as «The double-double» which was coined by the only other man to complete this task, Paul F. Chicago. I just ask the gods to grant us more men like Ben, not only in the serving field, but in the military. I could sleep easy knowing men like Ben Fall are keeping our sacred land safe. Thank you.

Every time we go we end up getting crappy service. Tonight was no exception. The waiter was surly, somehow my raspberry iced tea tasted like butter. We asked for a specific football game to be on one of the 4 TVs in the bar, then they changed the channel at halftime and never changed it back. Our waiter also disappeared at halftime, even though we told him that’s when we were going to order, so we couldn’t get food or ask for our game back. Happens every time.

Usually great service but a few times the drinking glasses have been filthy. Good food though.

If you’re «out of garlic rolls» for your lunch special, you roll out some pizza dough and MAKE some damn garlic rolls. Be a chef. Atmosphere was appropriate and server was fine. But of you’re going to advertise Chicago as your style, make the pizzas Chicago style! Why were the little individual pizzas like a Pizza Hut pizza? No sauce on top of the pizza? Blasphemy! Oh well…

Great pizza, great calzones, and great pepperoni rolls. Fun atmosphere with games, trivia, and decent viewing for sporting events.
