Enjoyed the pizza. Enjoyable staff and good food combines for a good time! The jug of wine is a must have!!!

Great little place that has delicious wood fired oven personal sized pizzas. Time between order and pickup was very quick, good was delicious and they have some searing outside. I would defiantly recommend stopping in to grab a pizza if you are in the area and want a bite to eat. They have specials that run throughout the week which is nice as well.

When in the lovely town of Duluth and if you happen to be spending time in Canal Park near supper time or dinner for that matter too and if you like wood fire pizza then this is a place you could stop in try or come back again if you’ve been here before! Jus the good ol fashioned pepperoni pizza is yummy!

Very cool little joint right in the heart of Duluth! Stopped here to split a pizza for a late lunch and sat outside enjoying the people-watching along the downtown streets. We got the special of the day with prosciutto and arugula, which was excellent. Very good take on Neapolitan-style pizza, and a unique and fun atmosphere with some fun beer selections to boot. Great spot!

So the pizza is great & all. It does get cold fast so you have to eat it asap(or best to share), but I love how they do the daily specials. It smells great. I have never been in during a busy time so I don’t know how loud it gets(there are a lot of hard surfaces in this establishment) but it seems like a very mellow & nice place. Lots of random Italian decorations, posters, etc. Anyway, I was in today & the man who flips the pizza with the giant metal trident spoon. is a god. I mean. The shape of this man! It’s as if they found a young titan & raised him as their own to just stand & scoop pizzas out of the volcano oven. I have no idea what his name is but. Thank you to the fit god that works here, that gave birth to my pizza. The eye candy he was serving!

Among the four pizza places we tried in this area of town, Vitta is hands-down the best. First of all, there is a proper pizza oven with open fire similar to the ones used in Italy. So you get a really good crust! The interior is somewhat original and welcoming. Ingredients seem to be of high quality, the cheese tastes like actual Mozzarella, unlike the cheap stuff many other restaurants use. Kudos for that! The drinks menu includes some interesting choices in addition to what is expected. All in all a very pleasant surprise. I ate here four times within three days. Recommended.

Great pizza! I had the Tomassa(prosciutto, goat cheese and arugula) and a glass of Nero d’Avola. Very pleasantly surprised about the quality of wine in what is essentially a shopping center-type pizza joint. We also ordered garlic bread which ended up being a pizza with olive oil, garlic and cheese. Although not what we were expecting, it was good. Fun, casual place with really friendly service-would definitely go back!

Passing through Duluth and just wanted something delicious.. well this place has the best pizza I ever had… We are a family of 5 with 3 hungry boys.. we ordered 4 pizzas since. the largest are only 4 inches so 4 did it. We had Tomasso with jalapenos Silvio Benito And pepperoni. You can customize your order starting with margharetta . We all are very satisfied. They are pricey but worthy.

How did I not know this was in Duluth! All those wasted years. Fantastic wood fire pizza. Lots of different flavors to pick from and man is it good! It’s in a cute hide-a-way so it’s kinda hard to get to on a busy weekend in Canal… but that’s not their fault. Good price for the size of the personal pizza. Might be a tad spends for a family of more than 3 but if you don’t mind paying for good quality then you are set. My one MINOR complaint… would be if they could have funkier flavors like some other restaurants are doing with their pizza. But that’s being super picky and I love what they got. Honestly, if you want to eat at a cool chill pizza joint that’s not also a big chain… go here. Next time I am craving some pizza it’s gonna be for Vita Pizza’

We thought it was going to be Neopolitan pizza but were very disappointed. The pizza was sub par and was not at all close to authentic. It tasted like a frozen pizza to us.

The pizza here is always fresh. The staff is awesome and it’s at a great spot. Hopefully they will expand and put a spot up by the mall. Just thinking about it makes me want it! Fav spot in canal.

Delicious! The crust is nice and salty which I love. Daily specials. Wood fire oven. Chill atmosphere. Wide variety of beer and pelligrino. Highly recommended!

We ordered the Tomasso pizza(prosciutto, goat cheese, crushed red pepper, garlic, arugula). It was most excellent.

We enjoyed this place lots! Nothing like an early day beer and pizza. The Tomasso pizza was delicious! Lots of great flavors from salty goat cheese to sweet tomatoes and crunchy arugula. We also shared the cheesy bread sticks and they were awesome, especially paired with the Caesar dipping sauce. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Duluth.

Fun atmosphere, with a nice beer selection. Prices are a tad steep but they have great specials everyday!(about half-off). Staff is very pleasant, they don’t have wait staff per se, you stand and order at the counter and they call your number, which I normally hate! But the pizza and atmosphere makes almost up for it. The pizza is very good great place for lunch or a light dinner.

Friendly staff that aren’t ‘too cool for school’…I had sat out back(shared patio?) drinking coffee(Caribou next door) for a good hour. A few staff walked by and were quite friendly. The more I sat, the more I wanted pizza, so figured an early dinner was in order. Tried the«Donatella» — quick fired stove blasted pizza, almost ‘freaky fast’. Had a beer while I waited. Pizza was good(B+), a bit spendy for a 8−10″ pizza, but worth it. They have a sign on their cash register that says ‘cash tips only’…even though it is essentially deli style(order at register, get a number and walk up to pick it up when done)… my point is, the kid was so cool and friendly, I would have tipped more I was able to add it onto my credit card slip like most places. Not a huge deal, but I only had $ 1 cash on me and would have at least given $ 2 – 3. Overall, I recommend and would return.

Saucier and cheesier than Punch pizza, Vitta Pizza’s margherita is not entirely satisfying or authentic. Even though the crust is thicker and crispier than some American stone fired pizzas, the thick and greasy layer of cheese makes a somewhat nauseating pizza, and definitely not a light Italian style lunch. The atmosphere is casual and open, good if you want to pay 7 $ for a quick lunch, but maybe not ideal for a dinner date. Large selection of wine and beer! Metered parking or pay lots available.

We were visiting Duluth from out of town and ended up at Vitta Pizza our first night for dinner. Very nice place, right on Canal Street area and decent little shop with seating inside and out. Staff was very friendly and although no one was dining in when we go there — they were busy working filling orders. Lady at the register was very nice. I ordered a pizza and created my own(sausage, Pepperoni and mushrooms), my wife wanted a Caprese salad but asked to have it on mixed greens — I guess its usually just Mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. They said no problem and were happy to help her out. The food was up in no time and wow was it good. I ate a slice of the pizza before I remembered to take a photo for this review. My wife loved her salad and we were very pleased with the freshness of the ingredients and the taste of the crust. Very authentic and very well done. Now I only wish they weren’t so far away from home!
