It was simply great. All items that we ordered were so delicious. The place was crowded but I like that.

I swear everytime my boyfriend and I come to this damn restaurant, they always seat us at the smallest fucking table. Even though we are Asian, we eat a lot and the table couldn’t even fit our waters with appetizers and entrees. Ended up just walking out tonight after being handed a menu because they wouldn’t change our table. I normally order at least 3 appetizers.

Just wanted to update my review, to show that after several visits the consistency in quality of food and exemplary service is unchanged. Kudos for the owners and management team for keeping it this way. On Friday and Saturday evenings there is live soft jazz that adds to the ambiance.

Loved the fresh baked bead and sun dried tomato dipping sauce. The entrée was also very good and the service was impeccable.

Open on Christmas Eve. Walked in, got sat right away. Server was excellent, greeted us promptly, was friendly and attentive. The courtesy dip with bread was a nice way to start the meal. A server brought over a cracker for our 1 year old(that was nice as it kept him entertained for a bit). My husband had the chicken parmigiana, the portion was your typical ritzy restaurant portion the sauce and tenderness of the chicken was decent(I personally thought the tomato sauce was too sweet but my husband enjoyed it). I had the chicken Marsala. By far the most lack luster chicken Marsala I’ve even had(I dabble in the chicken and I’m pretty sure I can make a better chicken Marsala at home at a fraction of the cost), the sauce was bland and so was the chicken, the portion however was pretty big for me but the taste left no desire to take home. For dessert we had the Nutella filled Zeppole, the dough was soft and felt fresh made(the Nutella could’ve been a bit more generous) but overall delicious. We paired dessert with a café latte which we spiked with a shot of armaretto(wish they had an after dinner coffee with liquor already in it option as buying both separately was a bit of a waste as we really didn’t need as much armaretto as the cup we paid for so it essentially went to waste) In all honestly the food didn’t wow me(not for the prices at least and believe me I certainly don’t mind forking over all my money for good food). The experience was nice mainly because of the server but this is probably not a place I would go twice to. Not sure if it was because it was Christmas Eve but all the guests were dressed up(men in button downs, slacks, blazer, women in heels and dresses) My husband and I in jeans, Tshirt and vans lol so we definitely felt out of place. We also felt uncomfortable having our son there, the dim lighting and«fancy» ambiance didn’t give off the welcoming vibes for a 1 ½ year old.

Great Italian food. My husband and I have frequented several times since we moved here in April. Food and service always very good. Love the bread and sauce they bring to the table complimentary. Nice atmosphere as well.

I was concerned when we pulled up and it’s connected to a Kroger Shopping center, but overall we had an excellent experience! Made a reservation and was seated immediately. The waiter was very attentive and professional. Appetizer was the scallop and artichoke and it was perfect! I also had the eggplant lasagna which was great and the bone-in prime rib(need a bit more seasoning, but very tender). The best part of the night was the live performers singing Hotline bling!!! Totally loved it… Would definitely recommend a Friday night here!!!

First experience: We were looking for a nice place to dine in the Duluth area for my little sisters birthday. I happened upon this place via Unilocal and decided to give it a try because of all the great reviews. I actually have no recollection of what I ordered besides the seafood pasta with red sauce. I do remember the food was great. The Service was also great and the place only had about 5 other tables besides ours on a weekday(it was a Wed or Thursday) around 8PM. Bread was warm. Great experience. The second time I went here, a friend and I wanted to get some yummy Italian in Duluth and we happened to pick this place. I kept raving about how good it was because I remembered my first experience here had been great– though it was a year prior. We get there and the place is pretty busy, as it was a Friday evening around 7:30. Service was decent though a bit lacking in attentiveness. We had to keep asking for different things(plates, water, clean fork, grated cheese, etc). I think our server was distracted because one of the real housewives of Atlanta were there that night. Whatever. However, the food was wayyyy below my expectations. We ordered two pasta entrees and one appetizer to share. Everything was not good. Even the calamari. Very very sad and disappointed by the lack of consistency. I was excited to eat here again after having such a great experience the first time. I’m not sure if the chef changed or if food quality has suffered due to the fact that business seems to have picked up quite a lot. Craving was not satisfied. I was going to give one star because of the major disappointment but service and ambiance were decent and maybe it was a fluke. Either way, their prices are on the higher side and there is much better Italian that I can get for less. So sad

Tremendous service, you and your business feel valued and appreciated from the moment you arrive, until the moment you leave. Everything we had was delicious and well prepared, and I would recommend it highly. Atmosphere made me expect to pay more than we did, a true value for the money. We will certainly be going back soon.

I was craving a simple classic dish of Chicken Piccata and my date wanted Chicken Marsala… nothing fancy. We didn’t want the popular Italian chain restaurants so we stumbled across Luciano’s. The restaurant décor is very nice. It has that romantic date night feel to it. The service is impeccable and the Merlot blend my Waiter recommended was perfect. Why the low rating? The food! Our simple dishes lacked flavor, tremendously. We tried to add cheese, salt & pepper to it but it still was very undesirable. I ended up bringing it home & bringing the dish back to life by adding the Italian spices that were truly needed. I will try this place out again, maybe… just for the atmosphere, wine and the bread/marinara.

Was working in the area and this place was recommended by the locals. Went for lunch at 11:20, not very crowded. By 12:30 it was packed. I had the daily lunch special, a 6 oz sirloin steak with caprese salad. It was fabulous, and only $ 9.95. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was worthy of a romantic dinner with a significant other. I Highly recommend this place.

I love eating here, great for lunch date or night out dinner. They have a great 3 course lunch for 12.95 salad, lunch and dessert. Highly recommended and at dinner they have a live band.

Came here for a work lunch and was pleasantly surprised! First off, their tomato dip is amazing(and it’s complimentary)! Fresh and sun-dried tomatoes with garlic and olive oil. Sounds simple, but I’m sure they add a little magic in there somewhere, because it’s tastes so good! They have a great selection of lunch specials that include an appetizer, entrée and dessert. I would highly recommend this option because you get to try different items from their menu without getting a full serving of each. I consider their portions to be on the larger size(if ordering from the regular menu), so if you’re coming with a group that’s not afraid to share food, I’d recommend ordering family style, so everyone can try multiple dishes! Can’t wait to come back for future work lunches!

Looking for a good high end Italian restaurant without having to drive to Atlanta? If you want to avoid Olive Garden, I got a place for you that is OTP and close to the suburbs. Luciano’s Ristorante Italiano is a very popular Italian restaurant on Sugarloaf Parkway, located across the street from the Gwinnett Arena. Not a bad place to grab dinner before you go watch the show. The restaurant is very classy, and the interior design reminds me of a high end country club. Basically like a fancy A&F or Hollister store, but with better lighting, just to make it easier to visualize. In terms of size, the restaurant can sit a decent amount of people. During the weekend it can get packed, so be sure to make a reservation if you want to avoid the hassle of waiting. The staff here is very professional, most of the hostesses and waiters are young, but they appear to have been trained well. They will give you menu recommendations so don’t be afraid to ask. They also are knowledgeable on all the menu items, helpful for those who need a better a description of the dishes. The menu is diverse in terms of options. You have pasta, steaks, salads, pizzas/flatbread, and antipasti(cured meats, olives, peperoncini, mushrooms, anchovies, artichoke hearts, various cheeses) just to name a few. They offer a wine menu as well, but I did not get a chance to try any(maybe next time). I included links to all the menus below. In terms of taste and food presentation, Luciano’s does a good job. Pasta was rich and full of flavor. You can taste most of the ingredients as you bite into it. Great quality in terms of food and flavor. There are still tons of menu options I have to yet to try, but the ones I did try were great. Overall, I can see why its one of the best Italian restaurants on Sugarloaf. Great quality and great service! This place can be pricey, but it’s well worth the price of admission. My Recommendations: –Fettuccini Alfredo w/Shrimp(pasta) –Rigatoni Salsiccia(pasta) –Quattro Stagioni(flatbread) Menu:

Delicious!!! And in our neighborhood area! Luciano’s is an Italian restaurant in the Kroger shopping center across from the Gwinnett Arena. I went to Luciano’s with my husband for our wedding anniversary. It was such a good choice for us! During dinner the service was great and the atmosphere was nice. It is a table linen restaurant with a fancy feel, but not uptight. You can dress up for it, but not look crazy if you work jeans and a decent shirt either. The staff is attentive, polite, and sweet. More importantly the food was great! At first glance, you may see that the prices are middle-ranged, but you get SO much food that you are essentially getting you meals out of an order! My husband and I ordered two different entrees and mentioned that we would split the dishes to taste both. The waiter went ahead and had each other split so we each had two plates to eat from. Very thoughtful! I could barely finish one of them, which is only half an entrée! I have to mention the Lingine Di Mare was sooo delicous. It had tons of seafood and was loaded with flavor and color. It was such a beautiful plate that I didnt want to dig in and ruin the display! The Short Rib Ossibuco was also sooo great! The meat was so tender and melted in your mouth. The sides were even delicious! We were talking about going back as we were leaving with out bellies stuffed and to-go bags in hand!!!

Gallivanting about in Duluth for lunch and subsequently the rest of the day isn’t a typical weekday for me, but I’m glad that Luciano’s took up a small portion of it. Stepping through the threshold of the front door, it’s easy to see that this is a popular spot for area professionals. Lots of suits and business casual attire seen here. Dining at a white linen table isn’t something I’d always choose for lunch(or dinner) but I have to say that I was impressed with the meal here. First of all, the marinara olive oil and the crusty bread they bring you before your meal is pretty fantastic. Not that hot bread could ever be bad, but this is a cut above. The marinara in olive oil is a brilliant idea. However, between the three people at our table, I’m pretty sure we went through two whole loaves of bread. Load up on that and try not to take a nap. SO much bread and I don’t feel guilty about it one bit. For my entrée, I went with the grilled salmon salad. It was a nice bed of mixed greens, asparagus, and a generous filet of salmon. Flavors were great, the vinaigrette was nice, and the portion was pretty hefty. Definitely a good choice for lunch, too. Really enjoyed it. The service was good, though a bit terse. Maybe they are used to dealing with strict business-y types, but definitely not my style of attitude. The guy serving was a tad bit short at times with hardly a smile to show. Not a big deal, but it did present a «walking on eggshells» type of vibe. No doubt, I’d come back. The bread and marinara oil is worth a visit along. Color me a fan of Luciano’s!

Tucked away in a shopping center off Sugarloaf Parkway near I-85 is this 5 Star Rated Italian Restaurant. It sits on the corner of this Kroger Shopping Plaza, and is much bigger on the inside than it appears. They even added a wing to increase seating capacity. The service, was excellent. We experienced a prompt greeting, a reserved table, managers checking in with my group of 5, all to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The bathrooms were clean and tidy and included automatic soap and water dispensers, and a bottle of Scope on the counter for your convenience. They even provided drying options of either the heavy, good quality hand towel or the modern air blower that you can stick your hands into. It made the bathroom experience feel… more personal. It was as if, it was my own bathroom and that I woke up like this. Flawless. The food options were impressive. I took a gander at the food options on Unilocal prior to my visit and had the hardest time deciding even after I was seated at the restaurant. I finally decided on the $ 26 Bistro Steak. It was tender and just a bit juicy laid over a bed of asparagus and a side of potato. 2 of my colleagues had the $ 45NY Strip Steak and the other was a $ 45 Bone in Ribeye. Luciano’s is affiliated with Pampas Steakhouse and the ribeye is the same cut of beef as that restaurant. Both of those steaks were 2 – 3 times the size my steak, but also a $ 19 difference. I finished all of my steak, they both had doggie bags. We started off with the prosciutto flatbread which was very fresh and tasty. We ended with those nutella doughnut balls that they advertise on their website. I did not try any but heard nothing but«Hmmm, thats good» after someone bit into one of them. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to find such high quality service and food here. I would definitely visit again. I do not favor italian cuisine much(I ordered steak) but the atmosphere is really nice. I really like the lighted columns all over the restaurant and the speed and attentive service. Luciano, I have passed by you almost every day without a thought of you in my head, but now I will never forget you.

I was craving for italian tonight so I did a quick Unilocal search and found this place. The exterior is pretty nice. Looks pretty fancy even if it’s in the same plaza as Kroger. The interior is really nice as well, i loved the whole atmosphere this place was giving. Seems like I was dining at a very fancy restaurant but the price was affordable! Me and my friend ordered the following dishes: Scallops crudo(13 $) — Appetizers Chicken diavolo(16 – 18 $) –Entrée Black spaghetti(19 $) — Entrée Tiramisu(8 $) –Dessert The Scallops Crudo was sliced scallops with small sliced of grapes and red pepper on top. There was also a type of oil in the dish. I wasn’t a big fan of this since the rawness of the scallop with the grapes weren’t a pretty mixture in my opinion. If i was a super spicy either i could have been brave enough to eat it with the red pepper on top, but I wasn’t. My friend however did, and he liked the dish. To him it was a explosion of flavors. The red pepper was really spicy according to him and made it less slimy. The two entrée, Chicken Diavolo and Black Spaghetti was nice. I really liked my black spaghetti dish since it was a large portion for the price. There was also plenty of seafoods. I loved it! Definitely something different. The Tiramisu was in a cup, instead of a slice liked I imagined. I thought the Tiramisu was aokay. Nothing spectacular. Overall, this place atmosphere was nice, the service was also good. I would come back.
