Got here at 11.45am for lunch. Fries were barely warm, l think they were left in the tray too long. Wasn’t going to turn around and come back for fries. Annoyed.

Awful service, denied a couple of traveling hungry cyclists food and when asked why, they threatened to call the police. Not bike-friendly.

Store was too crowded so me and my dad ate our meals in the bathroom and some customers didn’t wash their hands.

The craziest drive thru of all time. Enter on London Rd. and up the hill to order. Other than that it’s McDonalds.

Ok, let me preface this by saying I am a person who frequents mcdonalds during the«late night» hours, as I am a bartender, and let’s face it, mcdonalds is pretty much the only place open around the hours I would get off work. Now, I’ll start with the small things. McDonalds usually has problems taking credit cards between the hours of 2am and 5am for some reason… Another small tidbit of information I didn’t know is that they apparently start breakfast before 5 am now, as I was there at 4am and they already had breakfast only. Now… I’ve always had trouble at mcdonalds but have also always thought, «it’s just mcdonalds, what could I really expect» right? Not this time. Not only was breakfast served too early, and they couldn’t accept credit cards, and they once again seemed to have 2 people running the entire place, but… They didn’t accept our cash at the first window after telling us to drive to the first window for our total, so we had to drive to the second. They took our cash and literally RAN to make us change, and RAN it back to us before running away again. Then as we watched, a male worker came out, grabbed a stack of coffee cups, put them to his mouth, and suctioned a cup off the stack by breathing in with his mouth, and continued to make a coffee drink with the cup he just removed from his mouth. He then walked over to a register with the drink and actually picked his nose. We viewed all of this happen from the drive through window. This is very unsanitary and should never ever happen, as I know from common sense, and from the fact I am certified in restaurant safety. To top it all off, my order was incorrect, which I was also not surprised about. I never thought that I would actually see myself writing a review on mcdonalds for any reason, because well, it’s mcdonalds… However, this time it had just gone too far to go unnoticed.

They knocked down the McDonald’s with the deck and built the new one, which opened last fall. If I remember right, this new McDonald’s was supposed to be similar to a Starbucks — attracting a higher class of students and people looking to lounge about with their iPads, etc… went to this McDonald’s and it looks like any McDonald’s built in 2011. No patio, I don’t see ANY connection to Starbucks(no comfy chairs, no warm lighting or café vibe)…what’s worse is, no more deck! No view of Lake Superior(the windows that used to overlook the lake is now the order-taking area, so the windows are on the sides of the restaurant facing the parking lot). Oh well, at least it looks clean.

A McDonald’s is a McDonald’s is a McDonald’s, right? Sure, to an extent. The Big Mac here is the same one they serve in Ullan Bator. But there’s something about eating it on a McDonald’s owned deck overlooking Lake Superior that makes it a little more soul satisfying,
