Rating based on wings, fries, and service: Well…I’ve had my fair share of Korean fried chicken and this place just wasn’t cutting it for me. I really wanted to like this place, since I’m on the search for some good kfc in Georgia. I tried the soy garlic, two-face, and rokin’ atl. The flavors were just okay, in my opinion. Rokin’ atl kind of just tasted like sriracha. The wings are very saucy. Basically, they are like American hot wings but with Asian inspired flavors(duh? Lol). I’m used to drier kfc, so this is why I’m mentioning it. The chicken itself was good and crispy even with all that sauce! Had to try the Parmesan fries since everyone was raving about it. They were good but felt extremely guilty about half way through the basket. They seemed over-fried, but I guess the crispness of the fries helped balance out the sogginess of the cheese. I honestly wouldn’t order these again just because they were so HEAVY. Service was just okay, but we weren’t expecting much anyway. Bottom line: I wouldn’t return unless all of my friends wanted to go.

Parm fries were the bomb!!! Lemon fries were good too. Wing flavors: hot honey, parm, two face. Excellent. My fav was hot honey. Wasn’t spicy at all. Service was good.

Recommended by my hair stylist from Emily J. She suggested the tacos and they were fantastic. I ordered them«to go» the first time and my husband and I have gone back several times since then. He likes the steak taco and the Hawaiian taco… I LOVE the panko fish taco. The flavors are excellent! We tried the quesadilla(because of other Unilocal reviews) and didn’t think it was as good as the tacos and the same price and 2 tacos. I agree with previous reviewers — the servers need to circle back a few times to make sure everything is good and to see if you want anything else…. I had to stop our server to ask for another beer. It seems they would follow up with you knowing you may«add» to you order. Overall — really like this place a lot and very glad to have found it.

My go to spot for whenever I don’t know what to eat. Food is always spot on, and service is typically okay. Recommend: Wing flavor: 2 face Taco: original steak with kim chi inside Sweet tea: rypically pretty sweet, taste like Asian sweet tea. Hard to explain but I like it. Like I said, it’s my solid go to spot. Only thing is that the servers change a lot so they don’t remember the usuals but that’s okay. Haven’t had a bad experience with the service yet. Note: they close on Mondays.

My memories of this place is that they had bomb fries and great tacos. However, every time I try to come back, they’re always close for some reason with a sign on the door.

Very cheap and good quality food. This is located in the same plaza as Honey Pig and Kungfu Tea. I tried the ATL wings, loaded nachos, and Hawaiian tacos. My brother raved around the nachos but I found it too be more veggies and not too much meat/cheesy. But as for the tacos, it was a perfectly combination and weren’t stingy about it(unlike other generic taco places). Now, let’s talk about the wings! I’m not a big fan of spicy but the ATL wings hit the spot, not too spicy and not to bland. I would love to come back to this place to try out all the other entrees since I’m still drooling over the wings.

I came at that awkward time between 2 – 4, which is normally dead in the restaurant industry. I kinda prefer that time. Anyways I ordered like 1 taco and the signature wings. She politely informed me that the wings would be 15 – 20 min. That’s fine… I had work to do. But I did request that my BBQ taco to be delivered as ready which was kindly obliged. My only issue is I hate when the server is bored but doesn’t Know the appropriate timing on check backs. It was only one other patron in the establishment when I arrived. 2 other tables came after I got my food. She never came back to see if everything was ok or if I needed anything but she did randomly stand and stare at me while I was eating. Weird. I’ll probably come back in the future, maybe with a guest. The food was piping hot and fresh. Wings were really wet but still good in flavor.

Bruh. This is an amazing Korean American Mexican spot. I came from the likes of Takorea midtown and Dunwoody and this basically satisfies that craving. Plus they have my fave, parm fries. A bit heavy, but worth the indigestion that might come later(or not, thanks to omexaprole). I don’t eat chicken but the wings look good. The sandwiches, tacos, and wraps are pretty lit though. I’d stay away from the lemon pepper fries unless you love sodium and thirst. And super affordable. You should slide through.

I am a super foodie… You’d never know it by my UnilocalING simply because I don’t write reviews often but I have a library in my phone of pictures of food from all around the country and this place simply is not one worth adding to my library. I had the Mango Habernero & Kickin Mj Wings… The MH sauce was good and spicy, the kickin Mj lacked(meh). The wings were just average. My mom got 2 Panko Fish Tacos… she said they were okay but the sauce was too much. Didn’t really strike me as something I wanted try a bite of but really without saying too much more the service was just NonExistent and No it wasn’t busy. Being the foodie that I am… Taste and Quality is supreme, BUT! Service and actually feeling like the people could give a damn that I am spending money in there establishment definitely matters. I’d rather spend my money some somewhere else but the food isn’t bad, just not worth returning for. #HappyYelping :-)

I like this place a lot! It’s in a good area with lots of free parking, and their prices are good. The taco’s are $ 2-$ 3 each depending on which type you get, and they are surprisingly big. They taste great and it’s what I usually get, however their wings and fries are also good! I would suggest their lemon pepper fries as an appetizer, which is definitely enough for two people.

I’ve only been to this place twice. I feel like it is very underrated, but the food here is pretty good. It can be loud with Korean music playing in the background. They have a pretty good choice of different foods. They have wings and different tacos that are mixed in with a Korean style of spicy pork or stuff with Kimchi inside. I’ve tried their spicy pork burrito and it comes with fries. It was very filling. The burritos are huge! My boyfriend got a spicy pork quesadilla, and it looked like it was filled with cheese… One of our other friends got wings and seemed really good almost like Taco Mac wings. Definitely get their fries! Their Parmesan fries were really good! And they give a good amount. The four of us shared a basket of fries and we killed it. They have free wifi and a parking lot that is shared with the other stores around them. So it can get pretty busy and crowded. Usually it is fine.

Me and my brother was just driving by Old Norcross Rd in Pleasant Hill and discovered this place. It is a very well decorated wings and tacos spot in a nice environment. Service is great and quick. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The parmesan fries are wonderful. Its a bit pricey 5.99 $ for fries but the quantity is reasonable and taste is great. Also the steak taco was good. I loaded the taco with parmesan fries and the combo was really epic. Give it a shot. Their wings(garlic) was good but nothing special though. So if you are craving some good fries and tacos in a comfortable chill environment, this is your spot. Drop by. Carpe Diem with your taste buds people.

Let me start by saying that their $ 5 minimum is annoying(though I rarely spend less than this anyway) and sometimes the service is off if you have special requests(complaints about asking to pack the lettuce separately for a to-go order so it doesn’t get soggy– The journey home was going to be very very long. I was irritated that the chef was cussing and complaining about it from the back. He could have just said no. Or cussed and complain at a volume at which customers can’t overhear. I heard him. You’re not the only Korean person who lives in Gwinnett, buddy) Food: I’ve tried the tacos(spicy chicken, beef, tofu, panko shrimp), kimchidilla, Parmesan fries, sesame lemon pepper fries, burrito. I love the vinegar slaw/lettuce they use in the tacos. So delicious. The tacos come with a flour or corn tortilla(your choice), protein, and mj sauce(some creamy peanuty sauce) or other cream sauce. I like the beef and spicy chicken best(I feel that their spicy chicken has gotten a bit spicier than I remember). The plenitude of lettuce has me convinced that this is a fairly healthy taco. It’s like. A salad in taco form. Yea? Yea… Kimchidilla is made with a flour tortilla and has kimchi with lots of ooey gooey cheese. Yummy and super junky The burrito seemed like a larger version of the tacos but I like the tacos better. I’ve had the plain fries, sesame lemon pepper, and Parmesan. Out of the three, parm is definitely my favorite by far. It has an artery clogging saucy goodness that you just know can’t be good for you, but it’s nice to indulge in once in a while. Lots of flavor and the fries aren’t soggy. Order this! Overall the place had decent(though not the healthiest. Sans tacos! [Aka salad]) yummy Korean/Mexican fusion tacos. Space is fairly clean and very roomy. Young staff is usually very friendly and service is overall good. The place also has wings and I think I’ve tried the ROKin sauce but I don’t recall if I liked it or not. I’m not a big fan of wings though. Pretty particular about them so I’m not the best person to comment

This was a solid spot! The family and I stopped in for a quick and late lunch yesterday afternoon after a movie and some shopping. Several tables were full even though it was a Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm. The restaurant has table service. The menu holds lots of tempting options, but I eventually decided on the tacos(spicy chicken and fried mashed potato) and regular fries. My husband tried the hot chicken sandwich and parmesan fries. My lunch was perfect — the chicken had a bit of a kick, but was not too spicy. The fried mashed potatoes came out looking like a hash brown, but once I bit into it, the insides were indeed creamy, delicious mashed potatoes. I have never met a potato I didn’t like. My husband was crazy about his sandwich, and it was so large, he ended up taking half of it home. I preferred the regular crispy fries over the parmesan, which were significantly heavier. Great value. All of this for about $ 24. We will probably return to this spot.

I’ve gone to this place on multiple occasions and have not been disappointed. I’ve tried their individual tacos, wraps, wings, and even the smoothie(only downside to the smoothie — price). Overall great selection and adds a unique flair in the area! I don’t know of any other place that makes Korean tacos as well as they make it here. Highly recommend if you’ve never been! Oh. and their Parmesan fries are super popular & delicious(of course I suggest you to share: D)

I didn’t know MJ stood for ‘Mama Jin’ until I saw the expense line on my credit card statement. Who would’ve guessed? There’s a handful of Korean taco places around Atlanta and the greater Atlanta area and they’re all good! Well this one is no exception. I’ll start with whats unique: their fries are probably one of the heaviest fries I’ve had. They look like they have been overfried and really dry, but in truth they bring a nice crunch thanks to the fried batter and savory fried potatoe taste. I even thought I saw two layers to the fries. Even better than their fries are the garlic parmesan fries. They also have lemon pepper fries for those who love lemon pepper seasoning. Their tacos are good, satisfied my appetite and are reasonably priced and you can eat them without making a mess(though some ppl may argue that that’s what makes tacos good!). I’ve had the spicy chicken, and the panko breaded fish. Their nachos are OK. It looks like a huge plate, but I was able to finish it pretty easily. They ran out of ground beef so I had the spicy chicken. I was a bit disappointed by the portion of chicken, it seemed too little for the $ 9.99 I paid. There’s a lot of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes which made it one of the more«lighter» nachos I’ve had. I did like that they used corn tortilla chips and they also put corn in their nachos. The service is good as they frequently replenish water and are responsive to requests. MJ tacos is definitely in the list of places I would consider for Korean tacos whenever I’m in Duluth(granted it might be the only place in Duluth for Korean tacos, if there are others let me know!).

The food is here is a fusion of Mexican and Korean dishes. You have opportunities to try out many options that attempt to give you the best of both cultures. The restaurant itself is dimly lit and the interior features a dark hardwood flooring which covers the expanse of the dining area. They have East Asian artwork painted on the walls and some decorative lighting hanging above. All of it seems to blend well with each other. One main TV in the back as well which often shows some sporting or athletic event. Taste wise this place is average. Some of the fusion dishes taste more on like Mexican food then a mix of Korean food. Like adding kimchi to everything doesn’t necessarily make it fusion. They do succeed in some areas like their Panko tacos which gives you that fusion taste. The other dishes on the menu like smoothies, wings, and fries are about as good as any other place that serves similar dishes. Overall, it’s not a bad place to eat. As a matter of fact it might one of the few if not only Korean taco places ouside of the perimeter(OTP). This place is very convenient for those who do not want to venture into the city. My Recommendations: Panko Shrimp Taco

We were the first customers to come in after they opened at 11:30, but by the time we were leaving, the whole place was packed! Food was coming out fast and service was good even though there were only 3 servers working. We started with the Parmesan Fries($ 4.75). I had high expectations because of all the Unilocal recommendations, and I was not disappointed. They were amazing! So flavorful! My friends and I were trying to figure out how we could recreate them at home, but I’ll probably just come back to MJ’s! I ordered two tacos. The Panko Fish Taco($ 3.50) had lettuce & their house sweet sauce on it. I picked the jalapeños off since I’m not a huge fan of heat. The Hawaiian Shrimp Taco($ 3.50) had lettuce, pineapple salsa, & sour cream on it. Both were delicious, but I liked the fish taco better. probably due to their yummy house sweet sauce. While the tacos aren’t huge, they are filling. I had two and shared the parmesan fries with two other people & left full and happy. I can’t wait to come back and try other menu items!

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t really have high of an expectation for MJ Tacos, but wow, they sure did surprise me! I thought it would be almost same as Takorea/Hankook taqueria, but MJs has their own unique flavors to their menu compared to other korean taco places. I ordered ground beef loaded fries, original steak taco, and picante shrimp taco. Loaded fries were served with ground bulgogi, queso, and shredded cheddar on top. Flavor was just on point. Some places usual try to go for heavy flavor for all the ingredients in this menu, but it seemed like MJs had a nice balance in this dish. Also, big bonus was that while there were a lot of toppings on the fries, fries weren’t soggy but still very crunchy. Unlike Takorea/Hankook taqueria, MJs doesn’t have cho-gochujang(sweet&spicy chili paste) sauce in their tacos. Original steak taco had bulgogi, house creamy sweet sauce and shredded lettuce. Picante shrimp taco had 1 shrimp tempura, house creamy sweet & spicy sauce and shredded lettuce. What surprised my about this taco was the way that shrimp tempura was cooked. Usually most of cheaper-end restaurants’ tempuras are almost rock hard its really hard to bite and it scrapes the roof of your mouth. However MJs shrimp tempura had a good mix of soft and crunchy. Overall it was a good experience. I’ll be back more often.

I like MJ’s, and while i’ve been here plenty of times to try their ridiculously delicious garlic Parmesan fries paired with their lemon pepper wings, I didn’t want to write a review because, well, I just never tried their tacos… until last week! They typically have a lunch special of some sort, and on this day, for about $ 9 I got two tacos, and order of regular fries(or chips) and a soda of your choice. The tacos I tried were the spicy chicken taco and the steak taco, both coming in either flour or corn tortilla. My first take on these tacos were, man, there’s a lot of shredded cabbage on these! I was concerned that that may water down the flavor, but I gotta say the chicken taco was a strong favorite contender. It had just enough of a slow burn to let you know it is spicy, but enough flavor to pop with each bite. I actually enjoyed the steak flavor more, which is marinated in their BBQ sauce, but the chicken edges it out with the spiciness for me. The fries were nothing worth mentioning, but if I can back up and mention the parmesan fries again, those are some amazing things! I urge you to come with friends to make them something to share, because eating a portion of these alone can be too much of a good thing Finally, the wings. I’ve tried their Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero and Soy Garlic. All of the wings are decent sized, with the occasional small wing or the pleasantly large wing, but the flavors all do their job and cause lots of finger licking, because you’re just not going to waste all that flavor on a napkin! The actual store itself is quite sizable, which isn’t what I would have thought by looking at it from the outside, and service has been top notch every time i’ve visited. MJ’s is also Unilocal and scoutmob friendly, having several deals throughout the year, so be sure to check in to catch them.
