So… I have really bad teeth. I just got a complement telling me that I’m like David Letterman but with better teeth. Sir, you have no idea how much money has gone into fixing these pearly whites! So that Unilocal complement actually prompted me to write this review.
I’ve been to a lot of dentists in my life. I am genetically predisposed to having weaker teeth (thanks dad) unlike my mother who has super healthy teeth but just like my mother, I took tetracycline as a kid. Do you know what that means when you’re developing permanent teeth?! Yes, permanent yellow stains on your teeth. It looks terrible. I had to suffer through grade school and even in my young adult life people asking me if I had something on my teeth. After the comment is made, I go into a tirade of how I took tetracycline as a kid because I was a very sickly child and how I now have permanent stains due to tetracycline. People feel terrible about asking afterwards and never make a comment about my teeth ever again because they sense its a sore spot for me. /​tirade over
So, I used to go to another dentist but after my DMO from my previous work place expired when I stopped working for them, my visits to the dentist ceased for quite some time. I had a bevy of dental problems but I just couldn’t afford to go. My dad stepped in and offered to help me pay for dental treatments so I took him up on it this past few months.
My parents know Drs. Nam from their church and they do dental work for my parents and my grandmother. It’s close to our house and they know my parents so I decided to come here to get all my dental work done.
The staff is very nice and attentive. I love everyone who works here! Drs. Nam always try to make me feel comfortable. I’ve gotten over my fear of going to Korean dentists (as the one I used to go to as a child back in the motherland absolutely scared me as he’d shoot in the lidocaine and then go straight in to do work) thanks to Drs. Nam.
They also do oral surgery, dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics all under one roof. They do invisalign, six month braces, ceramic braces, and regular old metal braces as well. I’m sure they have other options as well, personally I got ceramic braces as my teeth weren’t compatible with Invisalign.
I would definitely recommend them if you live in the area and you’re in need of dental work.
