My siblings and I wanted to eat something semi-healthy after working out one Sunday evening. We wanted something quick but not greasy, fried fast food. Subway quickly came to mind, and I checked my GPS for the closest one. This Subway is located in the same building as Haru Ichiban and close to The Melting Pot in Duluth. It’s small and was super quiet when we strolled in around 8 pm. There were no other customers, and the one employee working there was very soft-spoken. I ordered my second favorite Subway sandwich(after Chicken Bacon Ranch) — a footlong Italian B.M.T. on Honey Oat bread to share with my sister. I’m not quite sure what the letters stand for(Biggest Meatiest Tastiest?), but it contains Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and Black Forest Ham. I get it sprinkled with shredded cheese before having it toasted, then topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and green peppers with salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, and Chipotle Southwest sauce. Yum! The guy who made our subs took his time making each sub, so although we had to wait longer than usual for our sandwiches, he really filled them up with toppings! My brother got a Tuna sub and it was HUGE because of all of the fillings. We were happy. When we were heading out, we couldn’t get the door open to leave. Apparently, the door was jammed, and I guess it wasn’t a surprise to the employee. He quickly walked over to force it open. They really need to get that door fixed! Overall, this Subway gets 4 stars for making hearty, delicious subs with generous fillings. Maybe the employee was relatively new, but again, he was kind of slow at preparing our subs. But we didn’t mind because our subs were great. I’m sure I will return to this Subway if I’m passing by and craving a relatively healthy and quick meal. [Review 238 of 366]
