The Melting Pot was awesome! We had never been there before and was invited for Fathers Day. The atmosphere, food and service was first class! It was great that our server Alec explained how to do everything because you do need a lesson, but by the time we were through we were pros!

My husband and I went to Melting Pot for dinner on a Friday night. This was our first time eating here and the entire experience was awesome. Looking at the menu it seems a bit pricey but the food is worth it. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. They had a special on chocolate raspberry martinis for $ 5. I typically don’t drink martinis but they were delicious. We went with the fiesta cheese, surf n turf, house salad with their special dressing, and s’mores chocolate. EVERYTHING was good!!! We will be going back soon.

This place is excellent. It’s a bit pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. The wait staff as well as the manager were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was different and refreshing. I had duck for the first time there and it was absolutely delicious and there Caesar salad great! I will definitely recommend taking your special someone here and I will be back. Thank you!

This place is amazing. I highly recommend you ask for Autumn if you want great entertainment. The good experience is fantastic with the fondue. If you come here the dessert is great for all chocolate lovers. If I could give more stars I would!

I love fondue. This was a great place to celebrate my birthday and a date with my wife. I would have felt under dressed if I didn’t dress up. The food is good and the broth tasty but they did go heavy on the wine. Often overpowering my flavor. A must have are the deserts. I would go back and try to get to the restaurant earlier for the al you can eat. If you like fondue I would give it a try.

My husband and I went to The Melting Pot in Duluth to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. The Melting Pot is a Fondue restaurant. I must say, they know how to do Fondue! Before eating here, I thought fondue was reserved for cheese and chocolate. I didn’t realize fondue would include a 4 course meal! The Melting Pot is a perfect date restaurant due to the private dining experience achieved by the height of the booths, soft lighting and background music. Steam from melting pots and aroma from cheese and spices fill the air as we walk to our table. Be sure to bring your appetite because you are in for a four course meal. Here’s a breakdown of my four course experience. First course — Cheese fondue with a selection of breads, veggies, and apple dippers. I ordered an Atlanta favorite, the Bacon and Jalapeño cheese fondue. It is creamy cheesy excellence. The bacon and jalapenos set the dish off! Second course — The California salad is light and fresh. It is a great spring salad. The vinaigrette is tasty and sweet. Third course — Main Dish comprised of a selection of 3 meats. I ordered the Land and Sea, which includes Premium Filet Mignon, Herb-Crusted Chicken and Pacific White Shrimp. The Land and Sea is a signature dish, and is a great choice since it allows for you to taste all of the dipping sauces along with the meat. Fourth course — CHOCOLATE!!! I ordered the Flaming Turtle, which I am convinced is a heaven sent dish of milk chocolate, caramel and candied pecan. Oh, and Yes the chocolate is really on fire! This chocolate is paired with dippers of brownies, strawberries, pineapples, bananas, rice krispie treats, and pound cake. I was stuffed after eating this meal. I feel stuffed again after describing it! The melting pot is great for special occasions, as it also has special occasion pricing. My favorite thing about the Melting pot is the food is always hot! It can’t get any hotter, since you cook the food yourself, right at the table. No more cold food while having a leisure dinner. My least favorite thing is that I am almost too full to eat when I get to the fourth course. Oh, who am I kidding, I am never too full for the chocolate fondue! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends. I look forward to returning for more fondue!

Now you can read all the reviews and pretty much read the same thing over and over again. The food is amazing and come here. But I want to take a second and talk about the service I received here. Christine was an amazing, inattentive, and informative server. She was very kind and very good at what she does. My glass wouldn’t even be half way done before she came with a fresh drink. She answered all of our questions amazingly and I couldn’t have asked for a better service. Definitely some of the better service I have received in a long time.

If you want to eat delicious cheese fondue for under $ 10, come to The Melting Pot! Cheese fondue for under $ 10 with unlimited dippers(from veggies — cauliflower, carrots — to apples and bread) My friends were a bit skeptical about the apples and cheese combination, but don’t knock it until you try it! All in all, the food was awesome. The service, I have to say, is a bit disappointing. It took my friends and I a long time before we could track down our server. The servers seem to disappear into thin air the moment they leave the table.

Always wanted to try this place but never got the nerve to. I don’t know why, I’m a pro with Chinese hot pot but I think I just wasn’t sure how to do fondues. I got a $ 100 gift card and decided to bring my family here. Four of us came in and immediately, I smelled the garlic aroma in the air. Yum! We were greeted by the host as well as the manager. I saw on the door that a reservation is recommended so I ask the manager if we can be seated without reservation. He was extremely polite and showed us to our table. Our server, Steven, immediately greeted us and knew that we were first time here so he explained how everything works. We ordered the 4 course menu. Cheese-Appetizer 5 Stars Spinach Artichoke was recommended and a great recommendation it was. He brought out the ingredients and mixed the cheese fondue in front of us. It was kind entertaining. Cheese fondue came with bread(wheat and white), veggies(celery, carrot, and something else), tortilla chips, and green apples. Omg! Cheese was so delicious! The garlic flavor really kicked in. I could string the cheese really high. Salads– 5 Stars We wanted to try variety so we ordered the house salad(lettuce, cheese, eggs, croutons, and onions topped with sweet tangy dressing that reminds me of honey mustard) *recommend California Salad(candied pecans, goat cheese I think, and greens topped also with sweet tangy dressing) *recommend Wedge salad(a half wedge lettuce top with ranch) Classic Fondues– Entrée 5 Stars Steven recommended the vegetable broth(forgot the fancy name for it). I love the broth! It’s not heavy and very flavorful. Classic comes with variety of meats like sirloin, pork, chicken, shrimps, and veggies like mushrooms, potatoes, and broccoli. Portion seemed small at first but by the end, I was very full. Best part is that all the meats were so tendered and flavorful! All fondues comes with 5 different sauces. Yin Yan– Dessert 5 Stars Also recommended by Steven. Yin Yan is white and milk chocolate fondue with variety of fruits. Overall, Melting Pot had earned a spot on my top of list. Service was excellent and food is delicious! What more can I ask for! It is great places even to come eat dessert. Next time, I’ll be back for cheese fondue with wine or chocolate fondue with wine. Yum!

First off, I will say this is one of my wife’s favorite restaurants. We go about 2 – 3 times a year. As a sort of last minute plan on my part, I reserved a booth for us for Saturday, Feb 13th. This was a far cry from our best experience. Waiters as much make or break the experience, and ours was: 1) Very casual. 2) Didn’t notice our drinks were empty. 3) Rushed out courses before we finished the previous course. 4) Did not hear what we were saying; he felt scripted. 5) Did not explain anything just left the dishes and split. 6) Made assumptions of our fondue cooking style that made no sense whatsoever. We caught and got that last problem fixed fairly quickly. This was the first strike. Onward to Entrees. The next problem we had was our entrée(all of it except the shrimp) was served frozen. Not«ice cold» but actually frozen, with ice crystals on top, and crunched when speared. This causes very long cooking times, and makes it take longer to cook chicken and pork. Since my waiter was fairly useless, I found the manager, just wanting to give him a heads up. I was not mad, not looking for a discount or free food. First he offered to get us new entrees, which i said wouldn’t be necessary, then brought us a whole chicken breast. That was strike two. My wife also had the lobster, which someone decided to season with an entire container of cayenne pepper or paprika. This made our entrees steadily spicier as we went. This was strike three. Everyone has an off day, and this is a busy time of year. Overall, it was still a pretty good dining experience, but they were definitely off their game. I felt the service was good for an average steakhouse or diner, not what I would expect from The Melting Pot.

My mom and I went to celebrate for my birthday and the service was amazing! Our server, Mike, gave us expert advice on all the fondue choices since it was our first time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The hostess even alerted the staff that it was my birthday because every employee I passed wished me happy birthday. Overall, the experience was wonderful and we’ll definitely be going there again.(:

My husband and I visited the Duluth location for my birthday in 2014. It was a very enjoyable experience! I received a birthday card signed by all the employees and the customer service was outstanding. Our server was very helpful with the menu options, which was great especially since my husband is gluten free. The food was excellent, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues! And the cocktails we had were delicious. I would recommend The Melting Pot in a heartbeat, especially for special occasions. Great place! We haven’t had the opportunity to return yet, but haven’t forgotten about it — hoping to make it for our second anniversary this summer!

I absolutely love coming to The Melting Pot. I would say it is terrific for special occasions(which it is) but in our house The Melting Pot is our favorite restaurant any day. Fabulous for dates, perfect for groups(sharing!), and the best place to go to put down the cell phones and dig in. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and the fondue is to die for. Velvety, robust cheese fondue, juicy meat and seafood. To finish, rich chocolate fondue with creative dipping choices. You have to go! Now! (Hint: don’t forget chocolate dipped strawberries to take for later)

I went here on New Years Eve with my husband and it was a great experience. Everything was perfect. We did not have to wait past our reservation time. We were seated at a booth promptly. The waitress was great, I wish I recalled her name. We ordered the 4 course meal. The lobster cheese fondue OMG. The entire meal was so filling that we barely touched the dessert fondue. At some point the manager even came over to check in with us, and he brought out our drinks. How personable is that!!! I think all managers should come out from the back and interact with customers. Before midnight they gave everyone in the restaurant, New Year’s hats, whistle blowers, and champagne to toast with. We just moved to Atlanta, and had nothing to do for New Year’s Eve and coming here really made out night.

First time my husband and I came here. We both did the 4 course meal. Started off with the cheddar fondue… It was ok. Lacked flavor. Beer was too strong in it. Needed salt. Next we got House Salads. I’ve had better. Actually, earlier that day I had an O’Charley’s house salad that would eat theirs for dinner! Then came the entrees. We both got The Classic and substituted our shrimp for double steak & spinach artichoke ravioli. Ravioli tasted like flavored dish water. Steak was ok. Chicken had more flavor than anything. Pork was cool. Main thing we were worried about was cooking the meat properly… Mushrooms, potatoes and broccoli were basic. Now, DESSERT was what stood out the most. We got the turtle fondue. DELICIOUS!!! And all the items that came with it were great(they forgot our blondies tho). I don’t think we’ll be back… BUTIF we do, it will ONLY be for dessert.

Just had an amazing 18th birthday thanks to our amazing server, Mike. He made it a great experience for not only me, but also my entire family. Since we came in a little later than most people, they had run out of chocolate covered strawberries so he took the initiative and hand-dipped me some just to make our experience all the more special. I would highly recommend the restaurant and especially Mike due to his amazing service. Definitely a new favorite experience!

At one time the melting pot was one of the best places to go especially if you had friends from out of town but this restaurant is so dated and the smell that is in this restaurant to me is horrendous we went for my birthday and you’re in the restaurant for a long time you have to cook your own food when I went home my clothes smelled like the restaurant it was like I have been cooking in the back kitchen all day long the restaurant needs to be updated the seats are not comfortable and for having to sit in there for so long the seats need to be more comfortable the service was great the food tasted pretty good once I got over the smell that permeates through the restaurant I don’t think I’ll be back until I can see they’ve made some improvements and possibly remodeled the restaurants been there for a long time and looks exactly as it did the day it opened

Dinner at The Melting Pot was delicious and the service was top notch. Sarah not only did a great job of making me feel special for my birthday but she was very attentive to my partner’s food allergies. She took the list of allergies very seriously and was extremely conscious of cross contamination. The rest of the friendly staff rounded a wonderful night out perfectly.

I absolutely love eating at The Melting Pot, but the Duluth location is my favorite! This means a lot since I live about 45 mins away from this location. I used to go to the midtown location, but I feel like their service varies too much over the years when they get particularly busy. However, I can’t say that the Duluth location has the same problem. They have always impressed with accommodating all our requests and have yet to disappoint! Gotta have great service to go with great food!

Summary: Melt into the melting pot with cocktails & chocolate fondue! But pricey. My cousin, friend, and I came here for Gwinnett Restaurant Week, which by the way was hard to find anywhere to go without a reservation. Also the website was down for the menus which was highly inconvenient, but alas back to topic. So we decided to try our luck and walked into the Melting Pot even though they told us on the phone they are all booked until 830pm. The manager saw the host tell us they don’t have any tables available at 6:00pm and was like«hold on one second!» and he was super nice enough to get us an empty table. By the way we saw a couple of different open tables. Our server’s name was Christina and she was super nice, provided awesome recommendations, and gave us above-and-beyond service! With the Gwinnett Restaurant Week menu, we got cheese fondue, shrimp, steak, chicken, and vegetables with our broth, and chocolate fondue. We also got some drinks which were awesome! Christina recommended I get the White Peach cosmo and it delivered. My cousin’s Deep South Tea and my friend’s Tipsy Turtle were also awesome! If you want a pretty drink, get the Tipsy Turtle, if you want a fruity drink get the White Peach Cosmo, if you want a strong drink get the Deep South Tea. For our cheese fondue, we got the French onion gruyère. It was an upcharge of $ 2 for the whole pot that we all shared, but it tasted pretty great. Only thing is that you get full really fast. No one told me I had to pace myself: P. So now i’m telling everyone else to pace themselves. Don’t come here super hungry and chow down on cheese fondue with bread and veggies. They also bring apples to dip into the cheese, but that tasted really weird to me. For our meat broth, we chose the«mojo» which also had an upcharge of $ 5 for the whole pot. In the end though, although we havent’ tried the regular beef broth, it probably would have been just as great as the mojo without the upcharge. They provide lots of different sauces and a couple cheeses to try the meats with. You cook everything yourself. So the experience was fun. Christina told us how long to cook everything so we had it pretty pat down. However, when you first get your pot, chicken takes longer than two minutes to cook so I would wait like 5 – 7 minutes for the chicken to cook in the broth. The steak is awesome! The shrimp with the curry sauce is awesome too. I kind of felt like I was at a hot pot place. I guess the concept is similar. The chocolate fondue part was our favorite! We melted into the melting pot. We chose the Yin Yang which quickly mixes and doesn’t stay pretty long. It comes with strawberries, blondies, brownies, pound cake, pineapple, banana, rice crispies, and marshmallows. This part was amazing. I would come back just for the experience of the chocolate fondue with a date. The atmosphere is romantic and upscale. We had some Malbec wine which was really good. All in all, the melting pot is awesome! However, we were biased because we had the Gwinnett Restaurant Week price instead of the regular price. I think if we had paid regular, it would not have felt worth it, but for the price that we got it was above and beyond an awesome experience.

I came here not too long ago with my partner and I fell in love. I had my doubts because I’ve never been to a fondue restaurant and thought it was going to be a bunch of cheese/chocolates and small meats/fruits that won’t fill me up. But was I wrong! We ordered the four course menu which is HIGHLY recommended. I ate so much I barely had room for dessert. Luckily they managed to pack it up for us. The service was excellent as well, I will definitely be back here!

Oh melting pot how I love thee. This location was just as fantastic as any other. Superb server with the best personality ever. I was with a large party which proved to be an advantage in the fondue environment. We had 4 pots which means 4 different cheeses, 4 different broths /oils and 4 yummies. So to start… The Wisconsin cheddar is always fabulous, and this time I tried the alpine which was lovely especially with the apple slices. I had the surf n turf for my entrée and this time got to try the oil to cook in. Wow. Loved it. For our yummies I tried the dark chocolate and the crème brûlée. I loved both equally. Seriously a great place to have a lingering dinner. Makes you slow down and enjoy each other and life in general.

Not my favorite place to go to, but the food is alright. The service was great! And the atmosphere was quite lovely. Charging $ 8 a person, the portions were really small for two people, but I guess that can be expected. We had the cheddar fondue along with sides. The sides included a very small mixture of vegetables, a tiny bowl of Apple slices, and a bowl of bread($ 8per person). We also had the meat plate($ 2.50per person. A tiny plate of assorted meat selections. The fondue wasn’t terrible, it was just decent. The meat selection was lacking. Only coming with varied selections of okay meats. After eating, both my boyfriend and I had a little stomach problem. At the end of the day, it was a nice experience, but we would only come back of there on occasion of some sort, or to try their 4 course meal.

We primarily went here because our friends and family told us so many great things about it, however, we were a little disappointed. We ordered the Classic Alpine Cheese Fondue– I personally love the flavor of white wine but there was WAY too much in there. While our waitress was making our fondue, I noticed that she was putting a lot in there but since it was my first time I did not want to interfere. I should have ordered the fiesta cheese dip, I think I would like that better! Maybe I’ll go back and try it.

Another Gwinette Restaurant Week visit– but more of a DIY night than a typical night out. A colleague of mine argued beforehand, «Why pay so much for a meal that you end up cooking yourself? It’s silly.» But I loved having control over the«done-ness» and amount of what I was putting on my plate. Course One– Spinach and artichoke cheese fondue(bread, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and green apples for dipping) — this was delicious! A wonderful twist on the cheese fondue– best with the bread and apples! Course Two– Their house beef broth(shrimp, beef and chicken for dipping) — meh, it was okay… next time, I’ll pay extra for the hot oil or their flavored broths. Course Three– Turtle Chocolate fondue(cake, marshmallows, rice krispies and fruit for dipping) — If the bowl hadn’t been so hot, I would have shamelessly licked the darn thing. Such a good chocolate fondue concoction! However, trying to decide which of their 8 – 10 different dessert fondue options to pick was torture… HOW can you choose just one? Overall, a very fun, drawn-out dining experience! Also, gotta give a rock-star shout out to our server(or at least… I would, but I don’t remember her name) — she was fantastic! She was funny, attentive to our needs, and clearly knew what she was doing with the fondue!

I went to The Melting Pot Saturday evening on a date and it was both our first times. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and seated quickly. Our waiter’s name escapes me at the moment but he was knowledgeable and very helpful explaining the menu and what flavors went well with what. My date and I settled on the 4-course meal which included: 1) Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue(amazing) 2) Caesar salads, 3) The French Quarter and the Land & Sea all cooked in the Mojo, Caribbean-inspired broth, and 4) the Cookies ‘n Cream Marshmallow Dream For the entrée portion our waiter told us that the meats and veggies had different cook times but we simply dumped everything into the pot, let it all go for a few minutes, then fished everything out as we went along. Just seemed a bit tedious to do it all a few pieces at a time. Also keep in mind that the potions aren’t huge but after 4-courses, you’re certainly left satisfied. We both concluded that although it was fun, we’d much rather someone cook our dinner for us and we’d probably only return for the dessert portion. The ambiance was nice, so take a date if you haven’t been and go for the experience if nothing else, but you probably won’t be rushing back.
