We were in the mood for curry so decided to stop-by this place. We ordered curry and chicken wings. The chicken wings came out about half an hour and they came out raw. It was not until we told them that if we don’t get our food soon that we would leave that our food came out. Our chicken wings went from bloody to charcoal burnt. The curry was good and the naan was good. Too bad it took almost one hour to get it. Will not come back.

I said if I came back and service improved, I’d give another star… well here you go. I came in today and realized they had an all you can eat buffet for 8.99! Food was excellent as always, and service was improved(by me).

I’ve had Indian food many times before and I try cooking it whenever possible at home. I was excited to have a restaurant near the place I stay because this other restaurant on Smoketown just doesn’t do it for me. I went in on a Sunday and mainly because I wanted to try their happy hour specials. I ordered 2 appetizers which I could hardly differentiate because they both tasted like Soya and chilly sauce. There were two of us so we ordered the Lamb Chops which were descent and my nephew ordered the butter chicken which according to him tasted a little sweet. For a deli style restaurant having spent $ 80 with tips is a bit much. I had two Tajmahal beers at $ 5 each(Happy Hour price ;-)), 2 small appetizers, two main entrees and a nan. I honestly went in expecting little because the place is in a tiny strip mall that’s hard to find and when going in, it feels more like a carryout/deli place. I hear they have a descent buffet during lunch so maybe I’ll try it because even-though I only eat at most one full serving, it should be worth the price of $ 10ish per person. I give it 4 stars because quite honestly, the busboy was genuine because the main server(owner) once he had 2 or 3 other takeout customers completely ignored us for a good 30 minutes. Go eat here and make sure to let the owners and staff whether you think they’re doing a good job, they need the feedback.

Heard great things about this place so I went to try it out. I tried the Malai Chicken Kabob and two breads. I thought the chicken would have some sort of decent sauce over it but come to see it was just fried chicken. Seems like it was prepared in too much of a hurry. The naan was good. I wished I had got more for what I paid for. $ 17 I expect it to fill me up with having left overs. Overall it’s overpriced with ok food. You can got to Ravi kabob and Arlington and get way more food there.

I love this place. I am a big fan of Indian food in general, but this place is among the best I have had. The owners and staff are very friendly. The prices are great and the food is delicious. I am so glad that we have good curry right outside of the USMC base. They now have a lunch buffet. I can’t wait to try it. Seriously, you gotta give this place a try. They even have 3 different kinds of beer from India.

The food here is absolutely delicious! I have only had take-out so my review is for that. The delivery took under an hour and driver was very courteous. I really appreciated the fact that everything arrived neatly packaged and with no spills. I also LOVED the rice pudding ;)

Called 5 times today to place my order. The first time got a busy line. No answer for the second, third and the fourth. They finally answered on my 5th attempt. I order chicken Vindaloo and I asked them to make it hot. Got my food 30 mins later and I was so disappointed with my food. My vindaloo had no test not even spicy. Chicken were over cook. It came with rice but not Naan. I spent $ 23 for the food that test like cardboard. We need a real Indian food restaurant in dumfries.

Had the garlic naan and biryani takeout. My only advice? Don’t get the heat any higher than a 6(they have a scale) and only get it that high if you’re a real pepper junky! Anyways it was fresh, rice was awesome, and the garlic naan was pretty great too. Set me back $ 13 and some change which is a bit pricey but honestly, imo worth it!

First time here. We live in the area but have never noticed C in H. Wife love Curry so we had to try it, even though we weren’t hungry. Appearance: They are doing some construction but are still open for business. Not very appealing to the eye but i reserve the right to come back after construction is complete. Service: 5 stars! Owner was very nice. He took the time to explain the menu, style of cooking, and even gave is a history lesson on his country. Everyone there will make you feel at home. Food: Freaking Awesome! I have eaten curry from different parts of the world. You won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu. Value: A little over priced in my opinion. Would have liked to see the average price plate around 8 – 12. More like 10 – 15 here. Also, not very large portions but its probably about average size plates for Nepal. Overall a must visit! You won’t be diassapointed and if you only have less then 10 bucks to eat, go to Little Caesar’s.

Curry in a Hurry is a welcome addition to the Dumfries area. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to try it! My fiancé and I went in for lunch on a weekday during off hours and were the only folks in the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and friendly without being bothersome. We ordered a sampler appetizer, which was good — the Veg Pakora was our favorite. Perfectly seasoned! As entrees, we tried the Chicken Vindaloo and Shrimp Karahi, both of which were spiced to our tastes.(On a 1 – 10 scale of spice, heartburn-prone me chose a 3 and daredevil fiancé chose a 7.) You also can’t pass up an order of garlic naan. We also highly recommend the Nepali coffee and especially the homemade iced tea — not your normal black tea, but chai-spiced and simply refreshing.(But be careful — the refills are not free!) Overall — as good as if not better than some of the District Indian places I’ve tried. Can’t wait to go back!

I loveeee curry so I was super excited to see that there was a curry restaurant near my house. When we entered and got seated, there were kids running around everywhere. I believe it was the relatives or children of the owner. The server that we got was nice and was nice enough to explain some of the food to us since it was our first time there. Food arrived fairy quickly which was a huge plus and when we tried it, everything tasted really good! The spice level was on point and everything. I would give this place a 3.5 star only because I personally think their food is a little bit overpriced and because of the children running around at the time when I was there.

So glad to have tried this place! The food was delicious, prices are fair, and the service was great! & they deliver! We ordered the lamb chop kabob that came on a hot plate, Chicken Tikka Masala, and lamb saag. Don’t forget the garlic naan for extra dipping. Can’t wait to try their other dishes!

Their name says it all. I had a short window of time to eat lunch and stopped in at Curry in a Hurry and got just that! Service was warm and welcoming. The owner(?) was especially kind. Food was delicious. Price point was right(naan doesn’t come with meals). No frills décor, but I’d definitely go back.

Hidden Gem ! Located in the end corner of a long shopping center.(behind Walmart side entrance) This establishment deserves every attention that they can get because their food is simply the best. Only three months old so far and doing good. I ate here for the first time today and will definitely come back more often. If you aren’t familiar with Nepalese food. Expect Indian style dishes with little different Flavors. It’s definitely unique with their own species and blends. I recommend their lamb chops but judging by their style of cooking, everything is good there & flavorful. Restaurant ran by very nice Husband & Wife team with lots of love into cooking and serving… Just like eating at home with family ! Wish them all the best and hope the business grows more and more .Good luck !! 5 star !! Wish I can give 10 star

When I moved back to this side of Woodbridge, I was driving through the Walmart shopping center and about punched a hole in the roof of my car when I saw the sign for Curry in a Hurry. Finally, I thought, convenient Indian food. That was somewhere around 8 months ago. And now one more finally, they finally opened. The décor is really laid back which I appreciate, most Indian restaurants seem stuffy and too serious, or at least in my experience. Not that that is a bad thing, just not my style. I got a chance to talk with the owner and even met his little one. He explained to me that good olé Prince William had been holding up their opening and that they were going for a casual bar type atmosphere. He seemed like a really awesome guy and someone I’m hoping finds success with the restaurant. But the best news of all is that I can report that not only is he great guy but his food is stellar too. I’m pretty familiar with Indian food so I can safetly say Curry in a Hurry rates up on my list of quality food. So far I’ve had: Tikka Masala: Classic done right. Aloo Cholee: Potatoes and chickpeas cooked together in a savory sauce. Chicken Vindaloo: a spicy vinegary good combination So far everything has matched my expectations, much to my enthusiasm. A couple of notes though, first off order a side salad its super cheap and you get more then enough for two. Secondly the Chicken Remedy soup is on my radar and I have feeling it should be on yours to. Thirdly the have some interesting dishes made with buffalo, I’m curious and haven’t seen that before, so I will most likely be trying them soon. All in all, Curry in a Hurry is the best thing to happen to this area, foodwise, in a long while
