We were passing through Duncan and found a vacancy at this hotel. When we arrived I was a little nervous. It looked very old but neatly maintained. Check-in was smooth and efficient. We met a very lovely manager on duty(I believe her name was Robin). She was extremely pleasant and friendly. The room was small but very clean and smelled fresh. If I am ever traveling this way again I plan to stay here again.

My husband and I are staying here. We got a king sized bed which was very nice. The room is clean, they’ve got a 36″ flat screen, fridge, microwave, free hot breakfast(tasty) and free wifi. The staff is very pleasant and office is very clean.(smell of cleaner is strong though) I think the money we spent was a great deal for what we got.

When we drove it it said New Name but same terrific Staff on the sign. The would have been better off keeping the name and firing the entire staff. I entered the office to check in and a very disheveled Cortez greeted me at the counter. I was lucky to have found him as the front desk is unattended most of the time. He asked my name and then said I had a Smoking King reserved which was far from correct since we don’t smoke and it was our family of three. I said we needed a room with two doubles. He informed me that was an up charge of $ 15.00 to get a double as they were premium. Feel free to check the website and see there is NO difference in room price. I told Cortez I would go along with the scam and could he please just get me my room. We get to our room and the beds are tiny and the light in the bathroom light doesn’t work but you could see a little when Cortez busts into your room without knocking but we will get to that next. It was clean and had the standard sundry items. The next day we are getting ready and Cortez decides he is going to roll into our room without knocking shortly after 8am. He sees the horror on our faces and closes the door and runs to hide. After having breakfast my spouse went back to the room while my daughter and I went to her softball games we were in town for. I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door before we left. Not long after that I get a call from my spouse who is horrified, Cortez came back to visit our room again and decide to come right in without knocking and now with a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. He told my spouse that he thought we had checked out and ha had the key I left on the counter for our room. The story later changed to I personally had checked out and another story about the key not working. I left both keys in the room with my spouse and never checked out or even spoke to anyone at the desk except to ask if they had white bread which they did not. I rushed back to comfort my wife, who as a previous victim of an assault by a man, was very upset. Then I precede down to the front desk to discuss this. A lady came to the desk and I asked why in the world this guy won’t stay out of our room. She gave the checked out story and wasn’t at all concerned. Said it must have been a mistake. Apparently knocking isn’t part of the training. And I was told people leave Do Not Disturb signs on the door all the time when they leave. I clarified with her again that check out time was 11am which she confirmed. It became clear the staff and management could care less about the guests and I was wasting my time. Tomorrow when I calm down I will call the Corporate Office and see what they say.
