Ordered from here on Saturday(11⁄7). This place is my new spot. The woman who answered the phone was a straight up surgeon. She told me what I needed to know when I asked, took my info & double checked. The food came piping hot, quickly and with very reasonable prices. Yeah, when I need my Chinese takeout fix… this is my place. Oh! We ordered: Mongolian beef(fried rice), Orange chicken(steamed rice), egg rolls & Crab Rangoons(my fave & these actually had crab meat).

We came in and where immediately seated the world couple tables with people. We ordered from the menu but they had some carryout specials that we wound up taking home for our kids when we left for five bucks so you have a choice of the entrée with rice. The food was good what we noticed is that you get more rice than meat on the entrees that are carry out but on the plates when eating in, you get more meat and less rice.

Just gotta tell ya’ll, I’m about to pop, got myself Something I can’t spell, so I will try my best seshwan beef. Just right spicy, and so much food, my husband got the chicken broccoli and it was so fresh and delicious. Give them a try, they deliver, and even their drivers are top notch.

This place used to be the best. But ever since jimmy retired it’s gone way down hill.

So I grew up in Duncanville and this was my favorite Chinese place to eat at in the town. Well sadly it is not good Chinese anymore. Bland, not so much flavor, asked the counter person if Jimmy still owned it and she said not for a few years. Had Kung Pao Chicken and it was not at all like what Kung Pao should taste like. The place needs a good dusting and scrub down.

Jimmy’s !! Man this is the O.G. place in Duncanville. It’s been here for forever, and you can even get the lil boxes for to go orders, score. They do have a pretty cool $ 5 to go menu and I love there wonton chips. Pricing is very resonable but I always pick up anyways. Haven’t used there delivery in a long time. Im all about a small Wonton Soup with extra chips for a nice lil cheap meal. Loyal patron to the place and always have been.

For starters they’re willing to make the food without msg. The shrimp fried rice is a normal golden tan color with large plump shrimp, the chicken broccoli is succulent and good smelling and the egg drop soup is served exactly the way I liked it with chives in a big bowl. Everything was done with a smile and the total cost was just under $ 16. The only thing I didn’t order was egg rolls, but something tells me their egg rolls would be great too. If your looking for good Chinese food in Duncanville, TX go on down the street to Jimmy’s Great China at 1115 S. Main St, Duncanville, TX or call them at 972−298−1688. That’s where I’ll be going from now on.

The food here was not what I was expecting. I love to try out local eateries but this one was a disappointment. The wontons were far beyond horrible. There was a tiny bit of meat wrapped in large wrappers. The chicken fried rice was slimy and the eggs brown.

The food here is not the BEST but surely not the WORST… I ordered Orange Chicken and Vege Lo Mein. The Orange Chicken was really good but the Lo Mein was really bland. Other than that the portion size is more than satisfying.

Grew up in Duncanville and was raised on Jimmy’s. Jimmy is a great guy, always inquiring as to how my family and I are doing. Always a friendly smile, as you get to know him you realize not only that he cares about his customers but also about the excellent quality of food that his restaurant provides. The hot & sour soup has no equal. It’s spoiled me for other chinese restaurants as they tend to serve the same cookie-cutter style. In a word, it’s amazing. You should go for that reason alone. Please feel free to tell me I’m wrong. I tend to order the szechuan chicken which I love, but also have occasionally had the moo goo gai pan. You really can’t go wrong!

I’ve lived in Duncanville for 25 years, and this place was already here when my wife and I moved here. We rarely eat in the dining room, we normally just order to go. My favorites are the cashew chicken and the pork egg fu yung, my wife normally gets the kung pao chicken, and my son the crabmeat and corn soup(lots of places don’t like to do soup on carry out, this one doesn’t mind). The service is very fast on carry out. We’ve gone with groups of 15 – 20 to eat in the dining room, and a big group can overwhelm the kitchen staff and make service chaotic. I tend to rate restaurants based on how good they are at what they are, and I don’t expect a small restaurant that primarily does carryout to handle large groups as well as a big restaurant where all of it’s business normally comes from the dining room.

I have to admit that I have resorted to Jimmy’s a few times out of desperation i.e. laziness in not wanting to drive further. Every time I wonder why in the world I came back here. The staff is not friendly ATALL, the dining room is the greasiest in town,(try some degreaser at least once a year people), and the food is mediocre to bad, which shows their inconsistency too. Sorry, but won;t be back.

I love this place. I have been eating here over 6 years now. It is family owned and operated. They are always friendly and always make you feel very welcome. The food is outstanding and i get delivery once in awhile and every time i do they always come right when they say they will or a little before. But as they previously stated don’t worry if your the only one in the place there is mostly carry out or delivery so go in and enjoy you wont be disappointed.

I have been eating at this great restaurant for the past 10yrs. It is family owned and operated. The owner, Jimmy, is usually there and always stops by to say hi and chat for a few minutes. The food is outstanding. I’ve eaten at alot of chinese restaurants and I just can’t find one that beats this place. The egg drop soup is excellent and tasty. You can’t go wrong with the cashew chicken or beef broccoli. I would say this place does 90% carry out or delivery so don’t be worried if you are the only one in the restaurant. Drive to Duncanville and visit this Great China Restaurant.
