Pizza Inn

I was rolling thru Texas on 20W. Had been waiting to by this spot. Called for directions. Arrived at 5:09pm and as soon as I walked in past the window headed to the hostess stand, the clerk says «Can I help you?» I say «yes…you serving dinner?» He say «It’s prepay for the buffet.» I say (Baffled) «OK-​well let me see it first.» He says, «There is nothing up there now. Tell us what you want and 7 – 10 minutes we will bring it.» WTH? I ask…“what time does the buffet start?” He says 5:00. I’m driving cross country. Ain’t nobody got time for That! I left because I could feel that wasn’t going to be a good experience.

This location has been here for a long time. Even though there is alot of hate on here they still keep the doors open. Yea they aren’t some fancy pizza place with fancy decorations or a hip look but they get the job done. They are good about making any requested pizza you would like. And the staff seems pretty friendly and helpfull. Yea sometimes there buffet looks bare, you just gotta wait. They will bring out fresh pizza and the salad bar is almost always on point.
My favorite pizzas to request are Alfredo & Pepperoni thin crust, Potato pizza, cookie pizza and my new favorite… Bavarian Cream! Yall gotta try it and that’s on the real.
Don’t go in expecting 5 star service but do go in expecting to be able to request your favorite type of pizza and have it come out fresh and hot.

Horrible !! I don’t know what happened to the previous owners but these new ones suck Buffett is dirty with food every where no one bothers to clean it or sweep the floor. One awesome waiter while the other sits on his phone and brings out refill of ranch dripping everywhere and doesn’t Bother to clean it up. Just awful !!!

Stay away! The ingredients don’t seem to be the same as at other Pizza Inn locations. Their posted hours are invalid. The dining room closes at 9 PM. Carryout ends at 11 PM.

We’ve been ordering from this pizza inn for over 30 years and while in the past it has been great, recently over the last few years they have gone through a management change.
We ordered a few pizzas and a pizzert for delivery tonight and were just shocked at the subpar quality of the pizzas we received. Completely overdone on the top (brown burnt cheese) and doughy crust. I shouldn’t be having to chew through a thin crust pizza. Check out attached pictures for evidence. Please stay away from this place now, stick to papa johns or dominos. At least their pizzas are consistent.
They also had the nerve to ask us how many slices we had already eaten when we called to complain to get our money back. What’s he going to do, pro rate the pizza? Total morons. A call to their corporate office fixed everything. This place needs new management or just shut down completely.

This place is just gross and seems to be fighting a roach infestation. Buffets always empty.

I just had ordered a Large meat lovers, a medium veggie, and 10 piece order of wings sent to my house about 2 hours ago from this company. HUGE mistake. I had to go threw a Spanish speaking order taker. which was absolutely murder. then when they FINALLY realized that he didn’t understand English and that I obviously didn’t understand spanish, they gave me an «assistant manager» whom I pray to god wasn’t really the assistant manager. Because I repeated my order and address to him over 3 times. So I wait. the delivery guy calls and I say my address once again and he then gets here, his receipt from the «assistant manager» says something way off which isn’t even a street address in Duncanville. The delivery guy kept apologizing and he actually communicated in ENGLISH with me. Basically in a short story, the delivery guy should be managing the crap out of the Duncanville pizza inn. Because y’all obviously can’t deal with the US official language or direction of the location you are located in. Thanks!

I posted a picture of their empty buffet. Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-​time occurrence.
The pizza here is okay… when they have pizza. The buffet is VERY inconsistent. Today, everything they had out was desert pizza or with jalapeños. Yes, they will make anything for you, but then you wait 10 – 15 minutes… and once they put it out, everyone else wants your pizza too because there are so few. If you’re going to have a buffet, keep it full.
I’m drafting this review waiting on pizza. We have nothing but salad to eat. There is a group of about ten people here waiting on pizza. Wait, now it’s seven… three just left and got a refund.
There were no forks out for the salad. We asked, and they brought out plastic forks in a plastic wrapper (like for to-​go). Don’t they wash dishes? There was no soap or paper towels in the men’s bathroom.
Finally, why are there waitresses here to get your drinks? It’s a buffet, and the drink machine is next to it. I can get my own drinks, I’m already getting my own pizza! Now I feel guilty for not leaving a tip. They run this restaurant on such a skeleton crew, instead of a waitress getting my drinks, they should be making more pizza, or washing forks, or stocking up the bathroom.
I guess I’ll have to drive to Grand Prairie or Cedar Hill for CiCi’s next time. Pretty bad when you’re not even as good as CiCi’s.
