It’s convenient location right on Main St. of Duncanville is probably this restaurants most appealing quality. If you want a relaxed and easy way to get authentic mexican food, then this place just may be for you. The employees are friendly and get the food out in a decent amount of time, so I can easily eat there on my break. When you order a meal, they give you carrots that have been pickled in jalapeño juice, and some salsa to top it with. It sounds a little odd, but it’s actually really really good, and one of the top reasons I go here. The tacos often come out a little dry, but they’re still scrumptious. The burritos are huge, and much better and cheaper than something you’d get at Chipotle or Freebirds. The other items on the menu, however, aren’t much to write home about. There are better places you can go for authentic mexican food in Duncanville, I.E. Taqueria El Rey(a bigger better menu selection, but more expensive and less friendly), and Cesar’s Taco(the best tacos you can get in DFW). That being said, none of the other places mention quite have the complete package that Tacos Chanos does.

Today I was craving taco’s like it was nobody’s business. So as I was rolling down to the DQ(don’t judge) to get my taco on, this place caught my eye. Had more than 1 car out front so I thought well at least I won’t be alone. So I skitted on in to see what they had to offer. The whole menu was in Spanish and I was having a hard time but I understand«Barbacoa» enough to know that’s what I want. So I ordered two barbacoa’s to go. The guy told me just a minute and off he went to cook my taco’s. It took almost 15 minutes because he cooked them right then and there, so I thought YAYFRESHTACOS!.. and for $ 2.15 for BOTH! So I finally got back to my desk at work opened up my little foil taco business. eh. They weren’t that good. Not good at all. I felt icky the rest of the day. I’m not sure what it was. The meat tasted a little off and the tortillas(even though I watched him open a new package) were a little iffy. The ‘hot sauce’ or so I thought wasn’t hot at all and kinda tasted like it’d been in the fridge too long and had gotten sweet and fermented. Sorry to say I had such high hopes. Sorry Tacos Chanos but I won’t be back.
