Part of a good experience at a winery is the breathtaking views of the valley, so this one would rate higher if it wasn’t right in downtown Dundee, along the highway. However; of the 3 wineries we visited this day, this one had the most pleasant workers pouring wine. It was a very hot day, so a few of us sat in the courtyard around their fountain to just relax and take in the heat. The wimpier people on our wine tour stayed inside where it was air-conditioned. Smart on their part because they ended up getting more wine. If you are in Dundee, this is worth trying out. Especially if traffic is bad and you want to wait it out… and you have a designated driver.

Off the beaten-path and well worth the search. Catherdral Ridge tasting room is beautiful and friendly. In summer months you can picnic in their secluded courtyard complete with positionable umbrellas over tables and chairs. Sandy and staff provide a relaxing and tasty respite. Highly recommended.
