I’ve had their food many times in the past and really like the chicken fried rice. It has big slices of white meat, sprouts, egg, and rice. It’s simplistic and a bit unconventional, lacking peas and carrots, but it works and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Today I ate at the location for the first time. Let me start by saying the service was really good. The staff was very responsive and polite, and I appreciate that. I ordered the Triple Crown in Chili Sauce, and when she asked how spicy, I said as spicy as you can possibly make it, though I know 95% of the time places either don’t have a means of making it spicy enough or won’t because so many people think spicy should be a slight amount or they will send it back. Unfortunately, this was extremely mild. There was even a sweet element I didn’t expect. Though it wasn’t spicy at all, the taste was good so I didn’t complain and used the hot mustard that was on the table to add some heat. I ordered the fried rice instead of the white rice, but like so many places, unless you order fried rice on its own, it is just white rice with sauce poured on it to make it darker. When I went to pay, I saw the order slip said something about garlic, so I snapped a quick picture of it. Looking at the menu when I got home, I think maybe my order was possibly placed as the Triple Delight in Ginger and Garlic Sauce and not the Triple Crown in Chili Sauce. Either way, I was disappointed by the lack of burn, but not enough to make me not want to return. This was going to get three stars, but my wife really liked her sweet and sour soup and my kid really liked the crab rangoons, so that alone moved it to four.

I have been very satisfied with both take out and sit down service. I have sampled Chinese food at many locations as I have traveled across the country and this location ranks among the best. Food is great and the staff is always very friendly and helpful.

We just drove approximately 20 miles passing at least two other Chinese restaurants on our way here. Yes, it is THAT good! Food and service are fantastic. Great family owned and operated restaurant. Portion sizes are huge.

Really great food! So many things on the menu to choose from was very difficult to decide, what a great problem to have. One of best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been too.

Wasn’t great. My vegetable fried rice was tasteless. I usually take the rest for the next day, but couldn’t face that again. The people and wait staff were super pleasant however.

Probably the best Chinese food in Monroe county. The egg drop soup is tremendous. They have both egg rolls and spring rolls for variety.

I’ve had Chinese food all over the country and our little town of Dundee has by far the best in Chinese Sizzling! Don’t change a thing!

A great find in Dundee. This is some of the best Chinese food in the area. It was really busy but the service was great. I ordered a spicy curry shrimp dish that was fantastic. I also enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The crab ragoons were decent but a oily in my opinion. The prices were also very fair. If you order it extra spicy they will give it to you. Yummmmm

Very polite staff, but average food. It was better than most(American) Chinese places I’ve eaten at, just not somewhere I would tell others about.

The best Chinese in dundee and surrounding areas… definitely worth the drive from Monroe. The portions are huge and the quality is top notch. The pepper steak, Hunan chicken and general chicken(extra spicy!) are a few faves. The hot and sour soup is phenom. Steamed dumplings. This place is consistently good. Same quality food as Oriental Sizzling in tecumseh michigan which explains the identical menus

I am not understanding how this restaurant got 4⁄5 stars. Just ate here for the first time, really disappointed. The«fried rice» is white rice with soy sauce. The Generals Chicken was unlike any I’ve tried before. It was like a chicken breast smothered in duck sauce. I could have done that at home. Finally, the egg rolls were small and tasted bad. The reason I even gave 2 stars was that the pepper steak was decent, however all the dishes for take out are served in Styrofoam containers so by the time you get home, the Styrofoam has gotten flimsy from the heat of the meal. I’m sticking with the longer drive to Toledo to get MUCH better Chinese.

We originally found this place through Unilocal and have eaten here numerous times. The food is excellent and the service is fast and friendly. They have large portion sizes so you can take the rest home and enjoy it again! Great place!

Always a good experience here even when they are clearly swamped and overwhelmed! The portions are very generous for the price and the food is always fresh! I would’ve given all 5 but I’d like a different recipe for the fried rice… it’s not my favorite. Crab Rangoons are my favorite here!

This is by far the best Chinise place around! We moved 45 minutes away and looked all over for a Chinise place that compares sad to say there is not one!!! We drive 45 minutes just to come back here! The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly and kind! And the food is awesome!!! If you are in Dundee don’t miss out on this gem!!!

Authentic Chinese food! I used to live in San Francisco and been in New York City for nearly 20 years and this is better than most so-called«authentic» Chinese restaurants. Who would guess there is this oasis where you enjoy real Chinese food in Dundee, MI and where you can go to Cabela’s and see dead, stuffed animals? The food here kicks ass and is not too salty. Worth the drive down from Ann Arbor. Win!

Chinese Sizzling is highly recommended for young families. My wife and I chose to bring our kids(a rare occasion) to lunch at about 2:00 on a Sunday. First impression, the parking is convenient, and the dining room is clean. The floor was moderately busy, but not uncomfortable. In fact, our server was working the floor alone and my drink was never empty. They have a nice variety in their menu and even offer a kids section with french fries. A great convenience for a toddler and a four year old. Now to our food. Each dish comes with soup and rice. I opted for the egg drop soup, which was easily the best I’ve ever had. I even got one to go. My wife had the hot and sour soup. The tofu pieces were large which made this soup fun to eat. Our kids split broccoli chicken in white sauce. This white sauce is full of flavor, unlike many other places who attempt it. Generous portion for $ 3.95. We even had some to spare. They even brought their food out first without request. This was a nice touch. There were also fried wontons to munch on. I ordered the egg plant in ginger and garlic sauce. Holy smokes! My new favorite. It was sweet and full of flavor. I opted for mild, but may go medium spicy next time. Can’t say enough about this dish. Now, normally my go-to is General Tso’s Chicken. But, they offer a General Tso’s Shrimp. Seriously. So I made that happen. These shrimp were large and took on the classic General’s flavor well. Highly recommended. Now, the fried rice. We selected the vegetable, but they had a variety of options with meat as well. This was hands down the best fried rice I’ve ever had. You can tell this was prepared in a proper wok. You could taste the breath of the wok, as they say in China. It had the familiar smoky flavor all of us Westerners can only dream of. Huge, generous portions. My family of four hardly put a dent in it, so we have dinner for tonight and quite possibly a lunch tomorrow. We spent just over $ 30 for all of this. Oh, and they have the sweeter fortune cookies that crisp instead of violently crunch. Just a pleasant experience for us. This is possibly our new Sunday lunch tradition. Thank you, Chinese Sizzling!

We were almost home and decided to have dinner first. I found this restaurant on Unilocal, and what a find it is! The food was delicious and the service was beyond great. They will cook it the way you want it. Just ask. We were given 2 egg rolls and we didn’t even order them. My husband wanted to take what was left of his Hot and Sour soup home. The waitress brought it to us in a quart container-topped off! Nothing warms the gweilo heart like free food! We will definitely be back. Great service. Good ambiance.

Our family(11) was in Dundee for spring break and went to Unilocal for dinner suggestions. The reviews were great so we thought we’d give it a try. So glad we did! The business front is modestly in a strip plaza. Don’t let that turn you off. The interior is well kept and clean. This is no buffet/trough place! Our waitress was gracious and attentive. Soup etc. Came out well timed. Food was not only attractive but delicious. Servings were beyond generous!

My brother-in-law told me that there was a very good Chinese restaurant in Dundee that he took his mom to, but he couldn’t for the life of him remember it’s name. Since I was passing by I decided to find it. I stopped at the Walgreen’s and the clerk and a customer gave me directions and told me it was clean and good. Fast food and American Chinese? I will find it! Clean, fast service and excellent food-they were right. The hostess, who I believe was also the owner, was chic and friendly. She promised the food would be waiting for me in ten minutes so I took a walk around the area. Outside of an Coney Island and a H & R Block, there’s not much else. When I got back home I dished it out to the waiting horde and found out that you get alot for the money! For $ 25, I got three dinners with egg roll and rice and there will be enough food for two days. i just wish they were more adventurous! I would like some lemon chicken or something else that would be different. The food, on the whole, is basic American Chinese and I am happy to report that no one was sick the next day! It’s near the Quality Inn in a strip mall, so check it out!
