After Dunedin Brewery Hopped over around the corner to come to Dunedin House of Beer. Atmosphere/Location: Located about ¼ mile from Dunedin Brewery(good walking distance). Located right on Broadway. Has a patio right in front for outdoor seating. Upon walking in around 8pm, it was kinda dark inside and the music was bumpin’ .my first time coming into a house of beer that was kinda of divey feel of cross between a brewery and a club. I brushed it off and what caught my eye was the cool live screen beer list of what they had on tap. About 40 beers when I came in and I needed a minute to check it out. Beers: Although there were lots of choices only a few caught my eye. Tasters available. –Goose Island Bourbon County Stout (what a rare site to see this stout on tap. a must try if you get the chance. one of the best stouts you’ll ever try. smells rich. taste smooth. amazing flavor) 14% abv. –Maui Coconut Porter (kinda burnt finish. taste like black iced coffee. some hint of coconut) –Duchesse De Bourgogne (if you’re into sours this is a good one to start with. not as tangy to my palate but a bittersweet finish) Service: So-so. no complaints. Overall: Worth looking at their live screen beer list. You might come across something rare on tap like I did with(Goose Island Bourbon County Stout).Snacks available, relaxed patio. A nice pit-stop to come and check out especially on a bar hopping night.

I’m a fan of Dunedin House of Beer because they have a TON of craft beers on tap, a laid back atmosphere with good seating, — patio, and bar games! This is a good place for hanging out with friends or even the first couple of dates because you can get a drink and there are other things to do– like play a game of lifesize Jenga, darts, Trivial Pursuit, or select a song from the jukebox. They often have live music playing which keeps the bar lively and fun. On nice nights, there is a back patio and tables and chairs in the front as well. A Dunedin staple and a great stop on the beer tour from Seventh Sun and Dunedin Brewing.

Only tap house in town with a great selection of rotating draft beers /taps, including some on nitro. The current 40 beers are shown on a large easy to read projection screen over the center of the main bar area. Overall a great location, close to Pinellas Trail, Gulf beach and a good place to bring your dog. Friendly staff, good beers and a good time will keep us coming back.

They have lots of beer selection. This place is not crowded. Typical bar with darts. Did not explore the areas that much. Coz stayed with group of friends who may played darts. And just enjoying each others company. The place was clean and bartenders were nice. I’ve been to Dunedin before bit this is my first time to really experience the night life they offer.

Although they had a great selection of beer and had some different games to play such as golden tee, darts, and mega jenga we were disappointed in the service. One of the bartenders charged my husbands card with more beer than we had and didn’t even apologize or offer us a beer on the house to compensate for the mistake. It was pretty slow for being a Saturday night and as our beers got low or just about empty the staff would walk by the both of us and didn’t even acknowledge us or our lack of beer. Their beer that they personally brewed was okay but the selection was overall pretty great. Probably would go for just a beer or two but isn’t a place to stay at all night.

My friends and I went to this cute little dive after dinner as part one of our bar-hopping for the evening. Initially, we were just aiming to cut through this tiny bar on our way to 7enth Sun across the way. Our friend Dave just, like, sat down at the bar and ordered something. Well, ok, Dave! The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and chill – a much welcomed respite after the bar service at the Draught Haus nearby. Their tap list is huge, full of solid beers from near and far and the staff will help you find what makes your stomach sing. However: You guys – get some proper glass sample cups. It depresses me to know that you care about your beer this much, but that a) you serve the samples in these gross things and b) you’re throwing away so much plastic. After that, seriously, don’t change a thing.

Excellent selection of beers on tap! Great servers and a fun place to hang out with friends or on a date. They have lots of outdoor space too. The bartenders are happy to let you try a brew before you buy and make suggestions if you’re unsure. We’re so excited they’ve started brewing their own beers too! Love this place.

There are a few awesome places i have discovered since moving to Dunedin– and this is one of them. They have a great selection of beer(with detail) displayed on a large screen at the bar. The environment is inviting and the bartender was really helpful and gave me beers to taste until i found the one– Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale(8.19% APV). Most beers are around $ 6 which is pretty good(if you order a beer like this in Puerto Rico, it would be around $ 8). I was pleasantly surprised that they were open late on a monday(Dunedin brewery closed at 11pm, 7venth Sun was already closing at 12am, and Skips is closed on Mondays). I have been here once before on a busier night. Each time i come here i have fun. I have yet to discover the games and the special advertised nights(don’t know if it is for this week or every week) wednesday 80’s night and thursday special priced blueberry or tangerine wheat night. I would difinitely return.

We were here on a Friday afternoon. Great selection of beers. 50 to 70… I don’t know exactly. Shawn was our bartender and he has the correct personality for a bar with that many different styles of brew. Patience of a saint because so many people don’t know how to describe their tastes. It’s difficult to do for most folks so I’m not hating but you need to have an easy going personality. In contrast, I’ve been to a House of Beers in W. Palm Beach where the wait staff is visibly put off by questions. Hey, you carry 100’s of bottles of beer… I bet people ask a few questions! We had two great conversations with a couple of fellas at the bar at the same time as us and the time went by too fast. Nice tap room.

I’d like to start by saying I come here quite often and have ALWAYS had a good experience. However, last week I went with a group of friends and we sat on one of the benches out back to play a game. I was with one of my girl friends as she ordered her drink, you could clearly hear her say Angry Orchard and the bar tender gave her something else,(not sure what) but it was a very dark beer. It happens, it was loud I understand. But when we informed her that that was not what we ordered she told us that was wha she heard and she could give us an angry orchard but we would have to pay for both. We hadn’t even left the bar yet! I’ve never heard of someone doing that. I personally would not have agreed but my friend was a good sport and said fine. Later that night, an obviously very drunk man sits on the bench next to me and touches my butt. I was appalled, quickly told him to leave us alone, he got angry and belligerent but he did go to another table. I went inside and informed the bar tender and she went outside, asked him if it was true(because someone would lie about that) and came back to me and told me he is harmless, he’s a regular, and to «not worry» I’ve had many of get together at this bar and will most likely go back but I am NOT happy with this experience.

Great selection of beers from the area and abroad. Definitely a dive vibe with friendly service. When we were unsure about a choice, tastes were readily available. Service staff is knowledgeable and beers rotate daily.

Love the selection. The regulars and the bartenders are super nice and friendly, and I like that the place is a little grungy, I’m kinda tired of all the snooty craft beer bars and just want the feeling of a dive bar, but want to drink good beer. They have 40 taps, and nice outside area in both the front and back that they share with the wine place next door. I found the beer prices to be reasonable, but maybe that’s because I just moved here from NY where the average craft beer is $ 8+. I also like that you can order a full size or a 5oz for less then $ 3, which is great if you want to try lots of different beers.

Hands-down, one of my favorite tap houses ever. My reasons are listed below. 1. Dog-friendly outdoor patios. Plenty of seating. Only downside to the back patio is it’s in an alley way, so the view is not very appealing. 2. Life size games including Jenga and Connect Four. Other games including video gulf and a darts machine. 3. Draft selection is one of the best I’ve seen in the area. They seem to get top rated, rare beer selections from great breweries, both local and out of state. 4. Price point. Most beers are around $ 6. They don’t try to rip you off like certain other tap houses or chains. Downsides to the place include: lack of seating, outdated décor, and sometimes not the best customer service. However, it’s still one of my go to spots and one of the better places to grab a pint of craft beer in the area.

HOB is good – probably 3rd on my list of Dunedin beer bars. Since they redid their floor, it smells much better. They have a good selection of beers which are constantly changing. The giant jenga is always fun for groups. Patio out back is nice, especially since my pets are painted on the walls :) HOB is a nice late spot, or place to bring your dog that is usually busy on weekends.

This is a really good place for a drink in Dunedin. It is a little dive-y but not too much. There are games. My friends and I enjoyed playing a little Photo Hunt which brought us back to things we would do in our early twenties. They also have jumbo size Connect 4 and Jenga. The tables and chairs are very cheap but no one seemed to mind. It did not affect my mood. I enjoyed my time there because of the product. Fifty drinks on tap with the menu projected on the wall behind the bar. A great selection. They sell each in a large and small size. For many drinks the small size is less than $ 3 so you get some of what you want and can try some others. I was very happy with my experience at HOB and would happily go back.

Why 4 stars? Because it’s my kind of place. — — — A great beer selection. Not over-crowded. A TV for sports. The 3 most important ingredients of a good bar. I love Dunedin, and this was my first visit to the House of Beer. I learned about 7th Sun, Dunedin Brewery, and Dunedin House of Beer being otherwise known as the«Beermuda Triangle.» Just another reason why Dunedin is awesome. All of the beers are displayed on a giant projector screen behind the bar. My only complaint about this, is that it’s a great opportunity to showcase more details on each brew — what kind of beer, the IBU, etc. They strictly display the name, which I think leads to a lot more questions that the bar tender has to answer 50x a day. Otherwise… ’tis a sweet place

This was a fun stop on our bar crawl. We went to the more wine side first and then tried some more beers on the other side. All the bartenders were super nice and served up drinks fast, despite dealing with a large group of us that came in at the same time. There’s so much more beer to drink, so I’ll have to come back soon!

I REALLY love the Dunedin House of Beer. It has the typical«dirty whole in the wall» bar feel that I really love. They have dozens of beers on tap only they have something I have never seen before… something genius… an electronic beer board! Why haven’t more bars thought of that? It’s easy to change and easy for everyone to read since it is in type. We visited most recently on Saint Patrick’s Day. We ended up visiting Dunedin House of Beer first and last. Yes, we liked it so much that we came back and finished our night out here. They have the large«human sized» jenga and connect four which is fun. They also have a variety of arcade games, televisions, etc. We received great service while we were here. The bartenders were busy, but able to easily keep up with the crowd. We were both able to find several beers that we loved and several that we wanted to try among their dozens of choices. They also had some local beers which is nice. We will be visiting Dunedin HOB on every future Dunedin trip!

What a cool little place! My friends and I left Dunedin Brewery and we were on our way to Seventh Sun’s, but we never made it. We walked by this place and decided to stop in for one beer. Then we had another and then another. When I walked in I was a little nervous because I didn’t want to be in a smokey bar, but it was not smokey at all. Smokers went outside. The craft beer selection was projected on the wall behind the bar. I thought what a great alternative to the chalk board. I was overwhelmed by all my choices and couldn’t decide on one so I ordered a flight. The bar tender was very patient with me. We were hungry and decided to order the chips and queso. What a surprise we got. The bar tender handed us a whole bag of unopened tortilla chips with a brand new jar of queso. We ate it as we laughed. I also took the leftovers home. Then the bar tender explained that they do not have a food license, but they have a partnership with the restaurant in the back. I ordered the homemade black bean burger with a side salad. It was so delicious. The best black bean burger I ever had. I apologize I don’t have the name of the place. The atmosphere was chill and we will go back!

I felt like I was in Cheers the moment I walked in. The staff and crowd greeted us with a warm welcome. It was refreshing from the chain restaurants and bars. The Dunedin House of Beer also lived up to it’s name with an assortment of beer. I had the cider on draft and it was the best cider I’ve had — tart and refreshing. Inside the bar was a number of your favorite childhood games but life-sized — Connect Four and Jenga. We began to play Jenga in the open area and soon the whole bar joined in picking sides. Great laughs, beer and fun.
