Consistency! Consistency! Consistency! Every time we’ve been here, the food and service are outstanding. The haddock is as good as you can get in New England, and the onion rings are amazing. My wife gets the Steak and Guinness Pie, which she always raves about… and always has enough to take home for a second meal. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. Our favorite restaurant in Dunedin!

VERYACCOMMODATING — We arrived on a packed Friday night with a party of 8 and were told it would be over an hour wait. The young hostess said we could sit at two tables close together – one a four top and the other a small round. We agreed and sat but right afterwards another four top opened. When asked if we could join the two tables, she was very accommodating and helped us do this. Getting to sit together made for a fun evening with good food. As former owners of a restaurant, we were very impressed with the accomodating attitude of the hostess and waiter. They are keepers!

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. Ordered an appetizer sampler, which ended up just being a bunch of fried foods, my fault for not reading. Boyfriend ordered the rarebit, he seemed to like it. He also got a scotch egg, which I wasn’t impressed with, but again, he seemed to think it was all right. I got a simple grilled ham and cheese, very good! I noticed near the end of my meal that there were small ants on my plate… we tracked them to the wall next to us. Called over the waitress and discreetly mentioned it so as not to make a scene. She thanked us for letting her know, but didn’t offer anything off the bill at all, which I realize they aren’t required to do, but as someone who works for a small business, we would definitely be doing something to apologize. Anyway, as we left they sent someone over with Windex to wipe it down and the adjacent tables, hopefully they will do more to remedy the situation in off hours. For what we got, I would say it was overpriced. $ 50 for mediocre food during lunch.

I’m a regular … I’ve been coming here since 2012. Have had a number of family outings at this place and have even met great friends here. Always order lamb shank with double rice so I’m sure they know who I am … The place is exactly what I’m accustomed to in the Caribbean and their shank is great … Live music, great waitresses and inviting environment … Prices are reasonable and you will leave with that feeling of coming back. Thanks guys you made my yearning for my home in the Caribbean not so bad.

Great local place, always busy and you can always count on getting a good meal for a reasonable price while having a good time. The BBQ platter was very tasty; as was their hamburger and grilled haddock. Very nice portion sizes. Also their signature dish of fish and chips is a must to try. Service was very good too. We’ll be back again solid 4 stars.

Visiting from Virginia and my mom said we had to try Cricketeers. The Fish(Icelandic Haddock) and chips were fantastic! My wife had the Shepherd Pie and it was excellent despite being a little light on the veggies. Onion rings are a must try. Good beer list but expected a broader offering for an English Pub. Definitely would come back and wish they were in Virginia.

Didn’t see many lunch reviews so thought I’d give one a whirl. Quiet for a Saturday lunch, had the rugby on so that was nice, no beer this sitting but plenty of local and imports available. Service was really attentive, food was standard pub, but as mentioned frequently before, great big portions, on the side of being ostentatious, no really, almost a pound of bacon on a BLT. The ‘lunch’ fish and chips in a basket — perfect. Thanks. Will certainly be back, especially when going to the beach. Will try a night time next on the way home.

It’s a cute British dive, even if it was a little smokey. The menu is really interesting with a mix of British dishes and American ones. I had the fish and chips, and it was actually impressive. The portion was huge! We really enjoyed the cricket paraphernalia on the wall by the bathroom. My BF(an actual cricket fan) was impressed by what was on the back wall. The bathrooms were actually surprisingly good. They looked remodeled. The live music that was there was just a pair of guys and they were really great. Our server was nice and pretty attentive. I’m not sure that we had a good enough time to want to drive all the way out there again, but it is a great place for someone who lives around the area.

Simply amazing. The Scotched egg with the two different relishes was amazing. The fish-n-chips, great, light batter and cooked to perfection. The hit was the Cornish Pastry with mash and Guinness gravy, outstanding. I will travel the two hours from Ocala FL for this place. The staff are great and very informational. Cudo’s To this English Pub. Alba gu Brath!!! lol

2 stars for food, 4 stars for service/atmosphere Showed up before 6 on a Wednesday and there was a half hour wait — kinda surprised but when we were seated we realized why — Wed is all you can eat crab legs and it was packed with tourists. I tried the Beef & Guinness pie — gravy had a very sweet taste that none at my table liked and round steak was tough — would not recommend. Fries(aka as chips) were regular old fries, mixed veg were frozen — meh. BF ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage — corned beef was thinly sliced sandwich meat variety and cabbage/potatoes/carrots were very bland(no salt/butter) — would also not recommend this. Others in our party ordered Bangers and Mash — sausages were very small but good and thankfully Guinness gravy did not taste like the gravy in my entrée. Curry Chicken was not at all like the awesome Indian food in the UK, tolerable but would not recommend. The onion rings had a great beer batter and the fried Oreo dessert was awesome too. Server was very friendly. Atmosphere is casual and warm, cute 2 man ‘band’ playing oldies — very much appreciated by the crowd. While we didn’t really like our entrees we’d give Cricketers another shot and probably order burgers or sandwiches.

So Wednesday nights this place is slammed! Great place they have like a veterans night or something but it’s awesome. They have a band come and these guys were literally 85+and awesome! We sat outside because it was so packed but that was fine, the service was definitely a little slow but totally expected! I ordered the chicken pot pie and Brandon had the shepherds pie both were delicious and seriously so much food we got three meals out of it! The atmosphere and food were awesome we will definitely be back!

If you are in the mood for British food for an entire weekend, come here and order one entrée. The portion sizes are beyond silly. Even the apps like fried veggies bring an entire farm to the table. There are plenty of tv’s to watch the European football matches if that is your thing. The waiter mentioned that denizens from United Kingdom the come over early on Sunday mornings to catch a game but they apparently don’t open soon enough for the recently jet lagged.

Well, I was in town visiting friends and they had already planned on participating in this midnight run. So I tag along and wait with one of them who wasn’t participating. We hit up the bar, naturally. This place is tucked away in a shopping center. From the outside, looks like no big deal. Inside is your typical bar. Large size with lots of tables, booths, high tops, and bar seats. It was ladies night, so we drank free until midnight. Not a lot of restrictions on that either. We grabbed a high top. The service was a little off, because they were slammed from the race. We had a hard time ordering, but eventually got it. We kept getting more and more beer. Then decided to order some apps. To be completely honest, I don’t remember exactly what we ate, but it was a sampler of sorts. Everything that I tried was good! They had a live band playing and that was pretty fun. They were really trying to get the crowd going. There even was an area where people were dancing. It was a loud typical bar, but a lot of fun. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, but it was passed midnight, so what can ya do. Will definitely go back, next time I am in town.

Meh, I’ve had better, is a great description of Cricketers. Pub food, by definition, should be great, affordable food. Cricketers is not the case. They have overpriced, generic pub food, such as fish and chips and bangers and mash. My girlfriend and I both got a beer, 2 appetizers, and shared an entrée, all of that came to about $ 50. The food was just okay, nothing special. Had a lot of TV and the décor wasn’t what you usually see in a pub. I also had to kill a fruit fly that was on our silverware, and where there is one fruit fly there is hundreds. Probably won’t be going there again.
