Norton’s Diner

Breakfast: Good food and great service and the prices can’t be beat. Big hangout for locals. Pancakes were especially good. Corned beef hash was a little salty but everything else was excellent. The décor, if you can call it that, isn’t up to par but for a good breakfast I recommend it.

Very small with just a few tables and home cooked meals. Unbelievable choice for early bird specials. Check it out.

I should have went to the grocery store and bought a TV dinner for two bucks. Waited to even see a waitress. Then ended up just leaving my money on the counter. Nobody came out to bring me my check. The fish was terrible. Fries OK, slaw was mush. Never again. The Norton bar next door is a really great place. I had hoped for a great lunch.

Situated in a small strip mall, we weren’t sure this place was open, but it was. Small with only about 10 tables in which 7 were taken. I took this as a good sign, but when we sat down and were not acknowledged by the waitress, our hopes faded. Seems there was only the one waitress and the one cook in the place. So she was slow to take our order and it slow to get our breakfast. It took about 15 minutes to get eggs on a muffin which the eggs were fried in a small frying pan and placed on top of the muffin which meant that two-​thirds of the eggs were stick out the sides. Then it took about 20 minutes to get our check and when I noticed that the total was more than the sum of the items, I questioned it and she said it was the tax. Why it wasn’t on the bill surprised me and not only that she rounded it up to the nearest dollar. Not a place I would visit again.
