It’s not bad for something different. A step above McCallisters to me – I still prefer Newks. Food wont blow you away but its not terrible. Decent service as well.

We always enjoy coming here. The food is great and the employees are so nice. The lady that took our order today was super sweet. She was the only one at 3pm.

I enjoy lunch here because it is within walking distance from work. The customer service here is excellent. The food here is equally as great. Even over lunch hour today, I was able to find seating and my order was brought to me quickly. I would highly recommend this place.

Please don’t start closing down restaurant at 8pm when signage states restaurant closes at 9pm. You should be prepared to serve customers until your posted closing time. However, I suppose if you posted 8pm closing time, staff would start closing restaurant at 7pm. This is a continuous problem at this location.

Very similar to Panera. They even use the same logo just change the name. Good was good. Service was fast. Both times I ate there tho I got an upset stomach. Sandwich was greasy so I think that is why. Worth a shot for a quick lunch though.

This was my first time I have ever been here. I came around 1:15p on a Monday for lunch. Luckily, it was not crowded. I had the ½ Roasted Turkey Sandwich and Baked Potato soup. The sandwich was good, nothing special and it was a small portion. The 9 grain bread that it came on was really good and fresh. The Baked Potato Soup was just alright. It would’ve tasted much better and true to the name if it had cheese sprinkled on top. I actually left ABC still hungry. I think I may just stick to Panera Bread.

You can find this location of the Atlanta Bread Company in the shopping center at the corner of Mt Vernon and Abernathy/Perimeter Center W(it changes names right around there) — the MARTA station is in the corner and this shopping center is right behind it — ABC is on the same end as the Regal theater. Admittedly, I’ve eaten at this Atlanta Bread Company(ABC for short) for many years. I’ve met her frequently for the various technology startups of which I’ve worked as they frequently don’t have office locations. This is a great mid-Sandy Springs/Dunwoody location for a meeting and a less busy place to set up camp that also has free WiFi(Starbucks also has free WiFi but it’s difficult to get a free table there). It’s also convenient due to the MARTA station and proximity to both 400 and 285. This fast casual concept should be familiar, you order at the counter from a list of sandwiches and soups, they call out your number and you pick it up. You can pour your drinks from the soft drink machine or tea/coffee dispensers. Not much that’s too exciting here — I’d say the soups and sandwiches are fairly mediocre — although I’ve never gotten any stale breads here so that’s a boon. The best things on the menu are the paninis and salads, the soups a close second but as I’ve already said, nothing special here. If you’re looking for special, head down the street to Alon’s Bakery on the other side of Perimeter Mall. This is run-of-the-mill and right at the mid-mark of the scale, in my opinion. It’s convenience may make up for a lot, however there’s nothing quick about the counter service and the flavors are OK if not great. With all the other fast casual and fast food places nearby, this is just one option among a sea of many. (slightly longer review on my food blog)

I have eaten at this location before and was unimpressed. This particular experience was even more disappointing. We waited to order… for several minutes. While this would not normally be an issue, two employees saw the line start to grow(as a large group was behind us), but continued to attend to non-customer-based tasks. Once we ordered and our food came, it was a bust. The salad order was incorrect, but we went with it anyway. Big mistake! The salad that we received was drenched in so much dressing that we couldn’t eat it. There was a balsamic pool at the bottom of the bowl and the lettuce leaves practically had to be wrung out to keep from dripping. Gross. The pizza was room temperature and a step above that served in a school cafeteria. We will not be back and we would not recommend it to anyone. However, if you decide that you want to try it… get your dressing on the side and avoid the pizza! There is a reason most locals choose to eat somewhere else.

2 star for the chicken salad being on point every time! Cashier speaking Spanish to the«cook» over us giving our order and then asking huh cause she didn’t hear us… rude! Order no tomato and receipt read no tomatoes… tomatoes on my sandwich. Flys Flys flys. Spoon sitting in the ice container! Unsanitary! Croutons were stale and had cheddar jalapeños…obviously yesterday’s bread

Standing in front of the movie theater, I looked to the right(Atlanta Bread) and I looked to the left(Starbucks and Tropical Smoothie Café). Seeing as it was 30 degrees outside, I ran inside Atlanta Bread for some hot soup to kill time before watching a movie. I always get Panera and Atlanta Bread confused. Many a time, I pull my Atlanta Bread coffee punch card out at Panera, or I show my Panera rewards card to redeem a free pastry at Atlanta Bread. There was only one other person in line in front of us so we quickly chose our soups. There are different soup options, «soup» and«signature soup,» which come in a «bowl» or a «bread bowl.» I ordered a bowl of the signature Organic Corn Chowder and my friend ordered a bread bowl of the signature Organic Tomato Basil. The corn chowder was very sweet and had some potato in it. It wasn’t super thick, which I prefer to the rich soups that chowders can be. The tomato basil was unexpectedly good, with some sprinkles of cheese in a fluffy bread bowl. I surprisingly enjoyed my snack/meal. Will definitely be back next time I’m waiting for my movie to begin.

«What is cheese soup?» «Um… It’s like… just cheese.» «O…K… And what else?» «I mean… Nothing. Just cheese.» «Just…cheese?» “I mean… Yeah.” «It’s…a bowl… of cheese?» «Pretty much.» «I’ll have the butternut squash soup. Please hold the jizz topping this time.» Overall, 4⁄10.

Been to this location 2x and sometimes you go places a first time thinking give them another chance… well this place is a repeat offender and based on the reviews it’s on par. The place was dirty both times I have been in it. It gave me serious bad vibes! They had big coffee pots out in the middle of the restaurant and tables were not bused but nobody was there. It’s pretty expensive for what you get. Pass.

It’s a shame that this franchised store in the Atlanta Bread Company chain is struggling with uneven customer service. I hung in there for a while. But I’m at the end now. The food is excellent. You definitely see the quality and taste that is standard throughout the Atlanta Bread Company locations. And they are in a great location with all of the office buildings in the Perimeter area and the movie theater right next door. It’s just that I can’t pay for the bouts of troublesome customer service. Yes, it’s true that the guy who brings you your food is definitely over 65 years old. I’ve been taught to respect my elders, so I’m not going to say much about this. Let’s just say that he’s not the warm and cuddly grandfather type… But there’s another elderly guy at the cash register who’s fun and awesome with the customers! Yes, there can be a bit of a wait at lunch time. It seems to be longer than the other lunch places in the area. I was just remembering the two other Atlanta Bread Company locations that I have frequented over the years here in the city. They were all easy and relaxed places with great food. I hope this Perimeter location eventually joins this group.

The Atlanta Bread Company is my usual go-to option for a quick lunch or dinner right before a movie — other than that I usually don’t give it a second thought. It’s not a bad restaurant, fairly decent actually, there are just so many restaurants that fall into the same niche — particularly Panera; though contrary to a majority of the reviews, I prefer Atlanta Bread. For a fairly similar price point, I find that Atlanta Bread has larger portions, more options, and slightly better selections. Typically, I opt for their«Half and Half» combo deal(either a half sandwich/salad and a bowl of soup), which I find to be the best deal. Their salad and sandwich is divided into two sections: signature or standard — the signature options are a bit pricier. If you opt for two standard options for their Half & Half, the price is $ 6.99, one signature and one standard: $ 7.99, both signature: $ 8.99. On my last visit, I went for the double signature: the Salmon Banh Mi sandwich(«with salmon, Cucumbers, Carrots, Cilantro & Sweet Chili Aioli on Ciabatta») and the Chardonnay Brie(«with Pears, House-Made Candied Walnuts, Fresh Grapes & Mango Chardonnay Vinaigrette»). Overall, it was a decent meal, the sandwich wasn’t what I was hoping it would be, but I half-expected that. It was basically a salmon sandwich with sliced cucumbers and carrots, with a bit of kick from the chili aioli. I did really enjoy the salad — the dressing was delicious — sweet and tangy — a great compliment to the greens and fruit. I wish there had been more brie — there were only two slices, but that’s life, it skimps on the gourmet(ish) cheese. The employee who brought the dishes to our table did very nicely tell me that they accidently put pistachios on the salad instead of walnuts and asked if I wanted it re-made. Honestly, I probably would’ve even noticed if nothing had been said, but a great catch for patrons with potential allergies. The staff is generally fairly nice, though the quality of service seems to vary from visit to visit — the wait time as well. Atlanta Bread is a decent restaurant for a quick, casual lunch.

Nuts and bolts: Met my boyfriend here for lunch as it is in between our workplaces. Same kinda concept as Panera. For lunch you can order soup, sandwich, or salad OR a combination pick two. Pros: Plenty of parking. Neutral: The food was just OK for the price. Take home: I prefer Panera by a wide margin.

I ordered my food to go. The cashier was friendly and my food was ready pretty quickly. I got the half and half(tuna sandwich and bowl of soup. They both were alright at best. I’ll have to go back 1 more time to decide if it’s worth the extra effort to get over there from my job. Lunch time traffic can be ridiculous.

I’ve gotten better salad at McDonalds. And the pizza? Lean Cuisine blows it away. Don’t get me started about how filthy it looks(check out the B rating, eek!). Better off at Panera!

The beauty of this location is it is always an easy in-and-out dinner or lunch before a movie. The staff is pretty friendly, but when they are slow, they are usually hiding in the back and it isn’t easy to get someone to come and take your order. However, they always get the order right, it is usually pretty speedy to get to the table and it is always delicious. My favorite sandwiches are the ABC Special and the California Avocado — both are Signature Sandwiches so are a little more expensive. What I like to do, is get the Half-and-Half. This is a half sandwich(or salad) and soup. Soups do vary based on the day of the week, but French Onion(my favorite) and Chunky Baked Potato are always available. I also like that you can pick your side item — baguette, apple or chips. I figure there is enough bread in my selections, so I usually opt for the apple. If they could pick some better staff and be more available at the counter, I think I might bump them up a star.
