Went here when our first choice had closed unexpectedly early for the day. Everything was really good. Only beef I have is pits in the Kalamata olives on the salad. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Best please to eat! I love coming here and grabbing a great bite to eat. The restaurant inside has a Greek feel when you come in. I recommend the authentic gyro and the potatoes. Yummy will be back

Oh Grecian Gyro. You saved me during endless workdays and Hapeville volunteer events at your Hapeville location close to work. My husband doesn’t always get a chance to have the GG unless I bring it home after work. His request for the night was to bask in GG glory. I already had a level of expectation for consistency since I believe the Hapeville location is O.G. We always order the same thing, gyro wrap with the grecian potatoes with«the sauce». I was surprised on how slow this location was at 8:00pm. Must not of caught on yet. None the less, the experience was exactly as we expected it. Food, as always, on point. Grecian Gyro offers the opportunity to franchise. I think they need to come west of the perimeter because, you know, I live there.

We ran up the hill to check this place out after Takorea. Lots of meat in their gyro wrap and the sauce is pretty standard. Could have used a little more tomatoes, cucumbers and just something besides onions in the wrap, but certainly more satisfying.

If you like gyros as much as I do, this is the spot. You get a full pita with the traditional items and the sauce is right on. Meat is tender. I haven’t tried the chicken options or salads but if they are like the pita options then it’s all good. They even have a rewards program, so try it out.

Good food, fast friendly service, but a tad pricey which I get bc the location can’t be cheap. the potatoes are always a bit crunchy for me.

Had the Gyro wrap with the potato’s. Wrap was good. I felt the meat was cooked well, and spiced properly. The white sauce was different than what I am used to on the west coast — kinda spicey — less sweet. The potato’s stole the show though! Lived them. Cooked in spices and oil — they were great. The chairs are old and uncomfortable. There are no napkin dispensers on the tables — have to walk to one section with a single dispenser — All in all, food is worth eating again!

Great fast food and EXCELLENT customer service! The gyros are very tasty and the vegetables are always fresh. It’s my go to on a busy night AND you can order and pay online.

Just your average Gyro place. Portions for the salad and sides were good in the gyro platter, but not enough meat.

I hardly ever review unless I really like a place. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this place … :-/ This place is right down the road from my house and I’ve driven by a hundred times but never stopped. Today I decided to check it out. I was starving and it was close. On the plus side it’s clean inside… However… The staff wasn’t very friendly. Which didn’t start the experience well. I ordered the chicken plate to go. I drove the one mile home and couldn’t wait to dig in! Boy was I disappointed. The salad was soggy. There was so much dressing I couldn’t find a single piece that wasn’t dripping wet. I took a bite to taste it and it was oily and flavorless. Sigh… Moved on to the chicken with I think tziki on it, I couldn’t be sure. It was tough and grizzly. I had to spit out a piece. I choked down a few of the bigger pieces, BF I was so hungry, and left the rest. On a positive note, the fried, greasy potato slices were tasty and the pita was probably the best on the plate. Very Soft. So, my lunch today basically consisted of two fried potatoes(as delish as they were I couldn’t even imagine how fattening they were drenched in all that grease) and a pita. I wish I could say I would recommend this place, or even go back to give it a second chance, but I can’t. The flavor for the most part was bland. Shame. :-(

If I could eat here everyday, I would. Best gyro ever. Best sauce. Always quick. Great customer service. I would bathe in the sauce if I could. I would wrap myself in the middle of the gyro with the pita bread and live there forever.

The poultry are flavored like a regular meat. The amount of ingredients together is not trustworthy & is not really greek! If you have good taste here means you lost your mind about original flavors of that country… Décor is nice & welcoming… Staff all are african American! I’m not racist but I wanna go to greek restaurant staff should have the same warm culture & mentality(cheap labored). They not look friendly & welcoming… Kitchen– décor is normal & appliances are for typical gyro shops… As a person who has restaurant business experience, I don’t recommend it, you better shake your asset & make tastier food at home! They make money bc of their location but management &HR. Doesn’t bring profit & reputation for this joint, PERIOD.

Grecian Gyro is located across the street from my apartment but I never ventured in until I was randomly craving Mediterranean food one night. I needed something quick, so I decided to give Grecian Gyro a shot. It was less than an hour before closing, but it still seemed to be bustling instead. I ordered from the slightly bored woman at the register, although I had no idea what was good. I ordered a chicken gyro for my friend and a regular gyro wrap for myself. Each was pretty affordable. Because the prices were pretty reasonable, so I also ordered a side of Greek Potatoes and a Greek Salad. I forgot to check my order until I got home. Thank goodness everything was there. The potatoes were piping hot when I opened the styrofoam container. They were pretty deliciously greasy when fresh and hot. Overall, the meal was average. I’m no Greek cuisine connoisseur, but I feel like I’ve definitely had better. This just seemed a bit Americanized(once again, I can’t speak for real Greek food, as I’ve only had Greek food in America). My gyro with potatoes and salad did manage to satisfy my Mediterranean food craving, though.

Greek delight — — — I had the gyro here-pretty good, though I wish they gave more tsatsiki sauce. Try the baklava, surprisingly good. Nice, quick, and very reasonable pricing. Parking here is madness here sometimes.

IT might be that I just love gyros, but I thought this place was decent. I would definitely go in there when I am in the mood for a gyros. I got the traditional gyro with lamb. The sauce is flavorful. The tomatoes could have been a little fresher, but the overall experience was good for the price. I did not try anything else, but the place was clean and the wait-help was friendly.

I went in at 615 on a Friday. Zero wait. I got the chicken platter as a wrap. So a chicken gyro with a side salad and Greek potatoes. Roughly $ 10. Was it good? Yes. Was it great? No. Not sure it was worth the ten bucks. Maybe next time I’ll just get the gyro meal. Potatoes were excellent though and the dipping sauce(which I got on the side) was yum. They don’t give you à lot of it though. The salad was very disappointing. Some lettuce, onions, a few crumbs of cheese and one tomato slice does not constitute a salad to me. The chicken gyro was good. Large chunks of chicken(should be smaller or do slices). It was warm and again the sauce was good. Overall, I think I would be willing to return but skip the platter ordeal(the wrap comes with a drink). I was slightly disappointed overall and would probably rather make the trek to Opa in Duluth. They do offer dine-in and take-out. Coke products are offered. Family friendly. Decent parking.

Grecian Gyro Dunwoody (slightly longer review posted on my food blog) I’ve been eating at the Grecian Gyro location on Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker for many years. It’s one of my favorite quick-gyro restaurants and relatively close to my house. I wrote a short review in 2010 on Unilocal that you can read here: This newer location(I believe it’s been open about a year) surprised me as I hadn’t heard about it opening. It’s very close to my work(about 5 minutes) and across from two of my other favorites(Farm Burger and Starbucks) so it’s certainly along the beaten path for me. It’s also extremely convenient being right off the interstate(well, it’s actually off of the I285 West access road, Cotillion Dr — you use Exit 30 for N Peachtree Rd toward N Shallowford Rd/Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd and turn North on Chamblee-Dunwoody Dr) with a large Kroger as the anchor to the shopping center. I know, bored already with details — the problem is that this small restaurant is easy to miss — it’s actually not part of the larger«Z» shaped line of stores but in a stand-alone row of buildings facing Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd. It has a tiny parking lot but you can park anywhere around it and walk if it’s filled. The restaurant itself has a lunch counter with the menu posted on the wall behind the cashier. The kitchen is open so you can see how your food is being prepared. You basically get in line and make your voice your selections with the cashier — you should also input your phone number to get your freebies(there’s a pad that counts up your purchases and tells you when you’ve hit any magic numbers for free drinks, etc. — this has replaced the punch cards from the older locations). Your receipt becomes your order number and they call it out when your food is up. Drinks, utensils, etc are at a counter to the left so pick up as your fill your cup. The menu is fairly simple — you basically come to Grecian Gyro for the wraps with a choice of gyro meat(blend of beef and lamb), steak, chicken, souvlaka(pork), loukaniko(smoked sausage), tuna, veggie, feta or grilled cheese. These are relatively inexpensive($ 5.29 — $ 3.49) and are your basic taco configuration(pita bread with meat, onion, tomato and sauce). You can add some delicious roasted«Grecian» potatoes and a drink for $ 3.50. Other sides include feta potatoes, spanakopita, dolmades and hummus(last comes with pita). I tend to order the Grecian Plates and in particular the Gyro plate — this is similar to the wrap only the pita is quartered, it’s served on a plate and comes with a Grecian salad(iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, kalamata olive, feta and oily dressing) for prices ranging from $ 9.59 — $ 8.99. They also offer several salad combinations(your basic meaty salad) from $ 9.49 — $ 7.49. There’s also a few add-ons(when I’m starving I go for the«double meat» option). The sauce served here is interesting — it’s not tzatziki(yogurt-cucumber) but rather a zesty and much heavier concoction, I believe made with mayo. I actually like it better than tzatziki on the gyro meat and love it on the potatoes(the Grecian potatoes on the menu have this drizzled on it — ask for it on the side instead). The food in general is very filling — you won’t leave hungry. It’s also very fast — yesterday we were in-and-out of Grecian Gyro and back to the office in 35 minutes(we arrived around 11:45 so that may be an optimal time). There were 2 people already in line and 2 tables with customers who had already ordered. We’ve catered from this location a couple of times at work and they do a good job feeding 60 – 75 people. Don’t get suckered into over-ordering the baklava — this is the commercial stuff and not homemade(it’s still OK, just not the same as getting the real thing made with honey).

Close to the interstate, this place has a small parking lot that seems to fill up quickly(though I think there was parking in the back?). I got there around 12:30, and got the last spot at the front of this string of buildings. The place was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, and start to finish, it took me about 15 minutes to get my food. I had a Living Social deal for a free wrap(there was a choice of 9 – 10), and I got the Souvlaki Wrap(pork tenderloin) to change it up from my usual chicken routine. Most of the wraps were between 3.50−5.50 with the steak one being the most expensive. As for the food, it was decent. The wrap itself was soft and had a delicious flavor, as did the sauce in it. The meat was generous for the portion, and was actually spilling out so much the girl wrapping it had to get a fresh piece of paper to wrap around it. The meat itself was only okay. Large pieces that left evidence that it’s cooked in-store and not pre-frozen(which was awesome), but it was sort of tough and had very little flavor. I get the feeling that they cook it in store, then store it in a heated container for a little while, which definitely toughens the meat. I actually thought it was chicken initially, but the consistency was definitely more pork-like. The place is like a diner, where they heat the meat up on a large skillet and wrap it in front of you. The service was courteous, and I don’t think the prices are bad if you’ve got a quick Greek fix.
