LIGHTITONFIRE!!! Move over deep fried cheese bites. Get out of the way chicken sandwich. Scoot your ‘boot random appetizer. I came here for the HEAT, and I found it! And about dang time too, since all the talk about how the Southwest has this Chili and that, Red and Green.(Not that I don’t love me some good Green Hatch Chili, it’s just not the heat I need some days.) This place has the real deal — Ghosts and Habaneros, sauced together and slathered on a pack of jumbo wings so drenched your fingers will cry in pain after holding them.(The kind waitress asked if I wanted the sauce on the side, I smiled my best«Not my first rodeo» smile and said no thank you.) I pulled the same old trick I always do — I drink most of my iced tea and then when the wings arrive, I ask for a refill — then proceed to never touch it while I scarf down the hottest stuff anyone can eat without batting an eye. It always makes the wait-staff surprised, which I always smile at. The«Brutal Extreme Wings» aren’t for the kids, and it says so on the menu! Truth in print, for once. Just remember,(you only have to learn it once!), to wash your hands BEFORE you use the restroom. Flame On my fellow Super Hot Pepper Friends, Flame On!

Been to Durango many times, first time here. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but we really enjoyed it. Service was great and they were busy. Loved the wings with half way sauce. Perfect amount of heat(and we like heat), they may have taken a little longer to come out than you might expect as some reviewers mentioned but they have lots of meat and it really want my chicken cooked, so it was fine by me :) and worth the wait. Our friend really liked their Bloody Mary, the Rooster, and they had a Bloody Mary bar with tons of condiments to add. We will be back for sure

Love this place! The hot wings«kicker wings» are the best hottest wings ive ever had. Great beer selection too. We come here often to watch the football games

Chicken, bland. Cole slaw, bland. Biscuits, bland. Corn, bland. Fish and chips, bland. The food had no flavor. Prices are decent but not worth the trip.

I love the wings here a lot. They are cooked perfectly and have a lot of meat on them. Unfortunately, if you’re trying to dine out they’ll take about an hour to make. Seemed a little long, but we waited. When we showed up an hour later, we were told that our order was never filled and that it’ll take another hour to get the wings. Seriously? The woman was so quick to get off the phone, I wasn’t very surprised. We just told them not to bother and went somewhere else. Dining in isn’t any better. Consistently bad service almost every time I’ve been there. Like everyone else said, «great food, bad service»

The service isn’t always perfect but I’ve always found it to be friendly. The food here is really good and it’s a family friendly place, especially considering that it’s a sports bar. We usually get the family meal which comes with quite a bit of food and is good for a family of four.(Or more if you have small children)

It was a little hard to find but once we found it I can’t complain. The choices on the ways to have wings were amazing. The wings themselves were gigantic. Big, juicy and full of flavor. I don’t really think I can say enough about how awesome the wings were. The place itself was trying to be a sports bar I think but it sort of came off more like a basement with a bar. Oh, and the bathrooms are TINY. Functional, but tiny. I’d definitely go back to this place if only because the wings were that good.

Really great place and nam for a family friendly place. The great menu caters to kids and adults. Too bad it took over 50 min for chicken tenders, Cesar Salad and soup. The wait staff operates with a similar response time

Cuckoo’s is a little hard to find, but definitely worth the search. It’s a little bit sports bar, a little bit diner, and a lot of delicious. The Asian Persuasion wings were absolutely fantastic… the best wings we’ve ever had. That sauce was sweet, spicy, sticky, sesame yumminess. It was so incredibly delicious! The Honey Garlic Parmesan sauce had real grated parmesan and a nice amount of garlic. My kids devoured the chicken fingers with Honey BBQ sauce. It was not spicy at all and had a savory barbeque flavor. The wings were large, meaty, and fried to perfection. The ranch dressing was great, but we didn’t use it much because the sauces were so perfect. Ultimately, I don’t know that anything here could hold a candle to their most popular flavor. Let’s just say we were persuaded by the Asian Persuasion.

We had heard this place was good from a local college student, but when we walked in, we decided we would take-out. The atmosphere is a confused fusion of Cracker Barrel, a sports dive bar, and your neighbor’s basement from the 80s. A bean bag chair and Nintendo in the corner would not have felt out of place. We ordered a couple lbs of wings to-go and waited awhile. What we found when we got home was watery blue cheese dressing, 2 sticks of celery and wings that were unnaturally large, fatty, and totally soggy. I ended up throwing out half my order. Ah well! They still have the college kids I guess.

We popped in for dinner on our one nighr in Durangp on our way home. It was pretty busy so initially we sat at the bar. A table opened up and we moved. No big deal. We shared the Asian flavor and the Honey Garlic Parmesan sauces on chicken tenders. The Asian was a Sriacha based sauce and was good and spicy. The Honey Garlic Parmesan was sweet and very, very garlicy. Be warned, there is fresh garlic and a lot of it! We like garlic, and going back and forth between bites of that and the Asian sauce was really good. Some complained about slow service but we weren’t in a hurry so it was not a factor for us.

Best place in town to watch a game and get some wings. Bring your friends and just have a good time, and don’t rush. If you like wings its the best spot in town hands down. Maybe not the«fastest» service but the wings more than make up for anything.

This place has the best wings ive ever had. Been coming here for 10 years and have never been disappointed by their wings. Asian persuasion are my go to, but all the flavors are awesome. Cant understand the bad reviews. All i can think is these people are fans of hooters, and buffalo wild wings, which i avoid. This is a great place to watch sports, eat wings, and drink beer(with lots of local ska brews on tap). Super comfortable atmosphere too.

Just moved up the block, waited about a month to try the place based on multiple reviews of bad service. The service was awesome and we paid $ 10.00 for a ¼ fried chicken meal, complete with mashed taters, corn and a biscuit and it was all delicious.

The boneless wings were the bomb! Went here to catch the Pittsburgh game. Reluctantly tried the fried mac and cheese which turned out to be really good! The service started out fantastic until it got really busy. Antonio was our server. He was very funny and personable. Seems they were understaffed. He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Haha

Ordered a ¼ chicken and one pound of medium buffalo wings. ¼ chicken was fried, wings were inexplicably not. They resembled frozen store bought wings reheated, barely, in the oven. If you like wings, and my experience was representative, then avoid this place. The fried ¼ chicken was good.

Really good wings. Crisp and juicy, fried to perfection. Classic wing sauce is always a good way to go. We tried garlic Parmesan, it’s not just a sauce flavor but real minced garlic with cheese coating it. Good if you like garlic . Asian was one of our favorites, sweet and tangy just like you’d except. The apricot one though was quite unexpected, but really really good. A sweet and fruity flavor surprises you with warm meaty chicken in a strange but amazing way. It’s sweet and thick, but we love it!

The wings are BIG and HALF a pound is plenty! They RAN out of blue cheese… No blue cheese dressing!?! That’s like running out of ketchup with fries! Wings were decent. Decent minimal service. I expected more all around.

The One Where Sandy’s First Dinner in Durango. My sister recently moved to Durango and I was able to take some time off from work to visit her(thank you awesome boss!). After being on the air/airport for 8 hours — my brother and I finally arrived. So Cuckoo’s was the first place my sister and her hubby took us out for dinner. I loved the atmosphere because it’s very cozy, hole-in-the-wall feel and it also reminded me of the episode of HIMYM… the one where Marshall brought Robin to his«home-town» bar. Anyway, the food was good(I mean, you can’t really go wrong with fried chicken) and their portions were HUGE! I could barely finish half my plate and ended up taking the rest home. I tried their chicken tender dinner — 10 oz of fried chicken tenders in whatever sauce you like(I tried this berry jalapeño). It was good and my only complaint was the fact they put too much sauce on there. It comes with a side(I ordered their wedge potatoes), corn, salad or soup, and a buttermilk biscuit. I have to say their biscuit was money! It went really well with my chicken — haha. My siblings order their«wings and rings», which is on their appetizer section. I can see why they each ordered it as a meal because it was more than enough to feed one person. My sister tried their«old yeller», which was green chilies with mustard. Sounds like an odd combination, but it was tasty! My brother-in-law tried their garlic Parmesan, which is a dry rub and a bit salty, but still yummy. Service was friendly and it’s a self-seating place as well. Just FYI — service does run a bit slow, but apparently that’s the culture here in Durango. Overall, great place for my first meal ever in Durango!
