Nini’s rocks. The chicken burrito with tomatillo salsa and toasted on the grill is my favorite. The crew is fun and great as well.

Sitting at Nini’s taqueria in Durango with some delish veggie tacos(at last a vegetarian dish not full of mushrooms!) and a sublime gratitude margarita saying thanks to my angel hero Tom from Outlaw Tours who had a truck with a gas tank — real filling pump and everything who gave me a bit when I fortuitously(accidentally) ran out in their adventure parking lot 14 miles from Mancos and 13 miles from Durango!!! This idiot city girl was trying to get an über to the rescue but strangely there were none available — imagine — a place where good people replace the need for on call strangers! Love this sweet Colorado corner… Ps The salsas are a great adventure on their own!

Solid Mexican joint right near the train station! Usually the line for Nini’s is out the door, but this time we got lucky and there was no line! I always go for the tacos; the fish are legit because they come with yummy cabbage slaw, but the meats are good too(carnitas and barbacoa are good, chicken can be a bit dry sometimes). I LOVE the array of salsas Nini’s has: corn and bean, pico de gallo, mango habanero, tomatillo, serrano… the list goes on and on and you can pick more than one! I’d recommend the pico and the mango habanero, but honestly you really can’t go wrong. The staff here is super nice but sometimes you have to be patient because when the line gets crazy they can be overwhelmed. If seating fills up in the front there is more seating outside on the patio which is legit when the weather is warm: D

Fresh mex made to made-to-order. My favorite is anything with their barbacoa. A local’s favorite for years. Locally owned.

The dude making my taco gave me 9 choices of salsa. He described the one I picked as «cathartic and cerebral» Cool guy. Delicious tacos. Cool art on the wall. $ 3.25 per taco. Nirvana on the radio… And then the fucking chili peppers curse followed me all the way to Colorado… But I still give this place 5 stars. It was the one CP song I can actually still tolerate. All in all, a pretty bad ass taco joint!

The food might be good but we’ll never know. Website said they are open every day. Front door of restaurant after walking several blocks on a Sunday to get there said otherwise. We weren’t the only ones peering through the door wondering why they weren’t open when the website said they were. I guess«Every Day» to them means«Never on a Sunday».

Great food for a low price. Nachos were awesome and the small ordered filled the two of us! Staff was friendly, helpful and service was fast!

If you are in Durango, CO check this place out. Yes, you could go and get authentic Mexican food in the area. However, if you want some great, tasty food, go check out Nini’s. Huge portions. My pork burrito was amazing and bursting with flavor. Counter service which is friendly, helpful, and most importantly, FAST!

Kid friendly, good quality food, decent value considering high traffic location, huge nachos and burritos. My only«complaint» is that they need to add an IPA to their bottle list. Ska Mexican Logger w lime good tho.

Smelled so good when we walked by that we specifically came back for lunch. Really yummy! Great selection, great twists on the usual menu items, awesome salsas, and very nice, friendly people. I would happily eat here again — and plan to.

Just had lunch here today and I was really impressed. I was tired after driving 5 hours and just wanted to eat something quickly. This place is situated right next to Starbucks(good call on location there) so I was able to hit both one after another. The décor(as someone else noted) is really cute. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the prices were actually really moderate in comparison to some places I have seen. The food was really great and well portioned. Would definitely go back. The guac and tomatillo salsa were excellent!

I had high hopes for this place but the food was way too salty for my taste. I had the carnitas tacos and my boyfriend had the beef burrito. Both were so salty that I had to get sour cream to cut the taste.

Yep, they’ve got the typical faster fare Mexican food. Flavorful and your choice of heat via homemade salsas. Definitely a stop to make while you’re in Durango.

It’s just ok. The burrito was like warm at best. Pricey for what you get. The service was less than friendly and we had to ask for a table to be cleared so we could sit down.

Yum! I was walking around the Historic Main St of Durango, CO yesterday and realized it was lunch time! I really had no idea what I was in the mood for, but something told me to stop into Nini’s. It was simply adorable and inviting inside. The two people behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. I ordered these delicious nachos with shredded beef. Prices were a little high for nachos. But they had a delicious assortment of salsa’s to choose from. And they make ti the way you want it, no questions asked.

5 stars without a doubt! Friendliest service in town. Made a custom quesadilla that was to die for. Beef with cheese, beans, rice and pico inside. Then with a side of mango habanero and roasted tomato salsa. Wish it was a menu item!!!

Passing through on the way to Telluride, stopped here for lunch. Food was fine, I got the veggie burrito which has all the traditional ingredients and then some odd ones like jicama. It was super hot and they provide free water. They’ve got a ton of salsa choices and you might find yourself feeling decision fatigue with all the choices you have to make. The restaurant is Ferdinand the Bull themed and has nice decorum and a large outdoor patio for dining. Bathrooms are very small and more like converted closets. If you can’t find them that’s cause they are«labelled» with flower pictures instead of a recognizable bathroom symbol.
