Dietz Market has been around for a good long time in Durango. It’s a mainstay along the highway as one of the first places you may come across when entering the town from the south. Almost hidden along 160, just before you get to Farmington Hill, you’ll find this local gift and garden shop. Every time I visit, I find something new and interesting in the store, and now that I no longer live in Durango, I make sure to stop by before leaving. It has all sorts of interesting things, including spices and sauces, eclectic kitchen goods, toys for the kids, coffee, chocolates, pottery, chili ristras at harvest time, fairy garden furniture, and lots of pots and outdoor decorations for your butterfly garden at home. It isn’t burdened by the crowds that shop downtown, so swing by if you get a chance. Fun!

Dietz market in Durango is a great market that has so many products from Durango and Colorado as a whole. So. a perfect gift place indeed and quaint. What is sad is that the personnel do not really match the friendly quaint lookin store. The ladies there are always grumpy and not really rude, but not friendly. Seem bothered that you are there. This is always the case as we are in Durango at least twice a year/summer due to family. Too bad
