I really really really wanted to give this place a good review… but we waited over an hour for our order and the food was so-so. After suggesting we get take out for dinner we decided to give Mariana’s truck a try. When we arrived there was a sign in the window saying she had gone to go pick up her son but would be back soon. We waited around 10 minutes during which time we figured out what we wanted to order. We ended up calling the number on the sign to see how far out she was, because if it was going to be much longer we would go somewhere else. Mariana assured us she would be there soon and within 5 minutes she was there. We ordered the spring rolls, the rice noodle dish(Bakmi), two chicken curries and an Indonesian fried chicken. The salsa in the jars looked good too so we bought a green and a red. While we were waiting for our food we sat at the table across from the truck and talked to Mariana’s son who was very nice. However we started to get antsy about 30 minutes after we placed our order, and my dad was wondering where we were since we had left the house so long ago. We asked what was going on and apparently the spring rolls were holding up the order. However, people who had ordered AFTER us received their food BEFORE us. Not cool. Finally an HOUR later we got our food. At this point I was chilled from sitting outside, annoyed from waiting so long, and not even hungry anymore :(We went home and ate what we ordered. The fried chicken was pretty good and the chicken curry had good mix of veggies but the veggies in the spring rolls weren’t cut up enough and the rice dish didn’t have much flavor. The green salsa is SPICY but yummy and the red was good too. In the end since we had to wait so long I am really truly hesitant to return… Also Mariana is going to have to move soon because trucks can’t stay more than 6 months in one location.

My boyfriend and I have driven by this place a bunch since moving to town and we finally tried it today… And we were very happy we did! The lady who runs the food truck(I’m assuming Mariana) was so very sweet, helpful, and patient with us since we were first time patrons. He ordered the Indonesian fried chicken(the #7), and I ordered the rice noodle dish(the #3). We sat at the table that is set up out back under the shade while we waited for our food to be ready. Mariana brought out silverware, napkins, Sriracha, and some of her homemade spicy sauce(which she said she also sells at the farmers market). Our food was out and ready in about ten minutes. We were excited to dig in! Mine was delicious and had amazing flavor with the meat… I added some of the spicy sauce to it and it was awesome! The Indonesian fried chicken dish was devoured by my boyfriend but I was able to sneak a bite of the delicious chicken before it was gone; it also came with a small salad and rice. We grabbed menus and will probably call ahead for future orders. We are excited to have another quick and healthy option to go for a quick meal if we need to hustle back to work or pick up on the way home, and to even just have a great alternative venue for Asian food in town!
