Absolutely delicious and always greeted with a smile.

The waffles are amazing and delicious and so very tasty. My Oh la la waffle(nutella, strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, and hot fudge) was so wonderful. It should really be against the law to have something THAT good. I loved it so much that I went back and ordered a savory Bouc for lunch. They were so nice and they deconstructed it for me so that it would not get soggy before lunch.

So delicious! The Belgium sugar in these Liege waffles give it a caramelized crunch. They’re so light and fluffy, great flavor. All the extra topping are great but the plain waffle and whipped cream would be a treat all by itself.

This food truck is always popular whenever it rolls up to Duke’s campus. Who doesn’t love Belgian waffles? I tried Belgian Waffle Crafters two years ago at a food truck rodeo and I’m glad that they’ve decided to come by Duke West Campus! They have a few different selections for choice of waffle, as well as a customized option. This is definitely a dessert food, so it’s no surprise that all of the choices(even the one that comes with bacon) is very sweet. My favorite choice is the«I Love Speculoos» with a can of San Pelligrino; if the truck rolls up on cheat day, I’m definitely getting this. The owner is friendly and the service is relatively fast. Awesome food, just a bit on the pricier side.

Pancakes seem w-awful in comparison.(Ok, I still love pancakes too.) But honestly, I have enjoyed every single waffle I’ve purchased from this food truck, savory or sweet. The Bouc(goat cheese, apple, thyme, and honey) is one of my favorites because of its varied flavor profile. Often, several of the waffles sold here are just one note of pure sweetness. Still delicious, but it’s nice to shake things up a bit. The workers are very friendly, and service is quick. I also love the cute Belgian flags on every waffle; very unique! The only reason to dock a star is that the price is a bit high for the amount of food, and again that the toppings could be more varied, with less emphasis on the sweet. But don’t let that stop you from trying a waffle from this food truck.

These waffles are absolutely amazing, as good as any I’ve tried in Belgium. Crispy on the outside, fluffy and a bit chewy inside, and much more filling than they seem. All of them are good, but the ones I’m completely addicted to are the speculoos & whipped cream, and the strawberry, goat cheese, & basalmic vinegar — I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and found myself craving these.

Very good authentic liege waffles! Don’t expect a huge soft fluffy waffle here. These are small, chewy, and have crystallized sugar on the outside. DELICIOUS. you can add toppings which all cost extra, except for powdered sugar. i think they’ll give you that for free. I usually add whipped cream, strawberries and nutella. This waffle truck comes to our office once a month and it’s awesome, so i’ve tried my fair share of different topping combinations, but i’ve learned to stick with the whipped cream and fruit. I got the one with bacon before, and it came sprinkled with bacon chopped up. and it tasted more like bacon bits. Also, they put too much bacon on it(yes, there’s such a thing as too much bacon!) so it was overpowering and i had to push as much of the bits to the side. So i wouldn’t recommend adding that. Also, the waffles are a little pricey, but you’re paying for quality i suppose. Other than that, no complaints here!

Having actually schlepped to Liège this summer for Liège waffles, I can vouch for the quality here. They are good, authentic, and freshly made(most Belgian places make them ahead and warm them to order). I tend to go for plain ones, which is good — the toppings here are a little spendy. A typical place over there charges € 2.50 for a plain waffle, and these are $ 4.00 unadorned, and around $ 7-$ 8 with toppings. However, because they are made to order, they are a little slow. But they did give us an extra one for waiting extra long, so that was a nice touch. The owner was very nice, he hails from the Charleroi area.

WOW. Best waffle I’ve ever had, not even including the toppings. Although they did make it even more spectacular!

The Bouc is amazing. Absolutely amazing. The combination of sweet and savory is phenomenal.

The waffles are delicious! Crispy and slightly caramelized on the outside, soft moist and chewy on the inside. Makes me want to get a waffle iron… Toppings are great too with a nice varied selection. Had strawberries, fudge, and vanilla ice cream, all of which were fresh and tasty. This is a great food truck and it’s awesome that such a niche food is available in the triangle! Would definitely recommend if you see it around!

Belgian Waffology is the real deal! The food truck can often be found at cocoa cinnamon in Durham and Johnny’s gone fishing in Carrboro. I have been hankering for a authentic liege waffle since my visit to Belgian last year and Francois has delivered deliciously authentic waffle. He is from Belgium and serves the variety sweet and savory waffles with a smile accompanied by a neat little Belgian flag toothpick in the waffle. I cannot recommend this food truck enough and hope he will expand to a restaurant so he can make the Brussels waffle too! Here is a link to an interview with Francois on the podcast spooning.

As good as the waffles from Wafels & Dinges in New York. The truck was parked outside an office park a mere 4 minute drive from my apartment. I had the speculoos waffle. The speculoos spread was delicious. It’s impossible to go wrong with that. But the whipped cream was very special and paired with the waffle and speculoos spread very well. It wasn’t overpoweringly sweet — it was more like the whipped cream you’d get at a fancy restaurant. Real stuff, not out of a can. Actually, it reminded me of the housemade whipped cream they serve at Norma’s in New York! Very dense and I suspect housemade(truckmade?) and not store bought. It’s not a huge waffle, but I’m not complaining. I suspect it’s gotta be over 500 calories(with toppings). I felt satisfied after eating it. Apparently, they’ll be back in two weeks. Tempted by their bacon and chocolate offerings! Love sweet and savory.

I ordered the a la mode waffle with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. The fudge sauce was delicious and solidified in contact with the ice cream, so it made for a rich dark chocolate lattice. The ice cream part was decent, and so was the waffle. The waffle base could have tasted more buttery and less sugary, but that’s just my preference, and I don’t know how waffles are typically made. The texture was good though, with a somewhat crispy exterior.

Discovered this food truck at the Durham Food Truck Rodeo. First thing that caught my eye, the sugary menu options. Then, I saw the incredibly long line. Still, it was definitely worth waiting for! I had the Fraises o chocolat, which consists of strawberries, homemade whipped cream, and hot Belgian chocolate fudge, over a Belgian waffle for $ 7. This is one of the more popular menu items, according to the worker behind the window. The waffle is nice and crispy on the outside, fluffy and light on the inside. When you take a bite, it’s like you’ve just gone to Heaven! So good. The chocolate melts in your mouth, the strawberries are juicy, the whipped cream is not overwhelming — it’s perfect! If only the size wasn’t so small…

Yum!!! I had the liege waffle with Nutella, whipped cream, and walnuts. It was SO good. Quite a decadent breakfast. :) I tasted the waffle alone with no toppings and it was delicious in itself – sweet and a bit doughy. Would love to try the Bouc next time(apples, goat cheese, walnuts, honey, & thyme). I will definitely be back!

Solid sweets and eats from that red truck with a big ol’ waffle dangling on its side! Yeah I couldn’t resist Belgian Waffology. I ran into them at Brewgaloo and did a drive by but yes, oh yes Belgian waffle, you will be mine… I roamed around a bit before searching out their truck. They’ve got three or four basic waffles with variants on toppings and flavorings. I go with a liege waffle with chocolate. It takes about 15 minutes, the truck is popular. I get a small paper container with a nicely browned waffle tucked in it. The outside is crisp and has some chew to it. Some nice quality chocolate melted inside and you’ve got a nice snack in your hand. At $ 6 it’s not cheap but the overall quality is good. So thanks Waffology for your Belgian treats…

Had a great savory waffle with goat cheese, apples, walnuts, thyme, and honey. A little small for the price and could have used more honey, but it was super good flavor.

Pretty good belgian waffle, though a little on the small side. It makes for a decent quick meal though. My waffle had chocolate and bacon on it, so on some level it was pretty close to bacon pancakes. Bacon pancakes! But really bacon waffle. Overall good food truck.

Did we really drive all the way to Durham on a Sunday afternoon to try Belgian Waffology?(Is that a real question?) Why yes, yes we did. I heard about this truck a few months ago and have been quietly salivating at my office desk waiting for it to be up and running. When Jay and I were in London, there was this great hole-in-the-wall(no really, it was just a window cut out in the side of a building that served amazingness) waffle shop that we frequented a number of times during our short trip. Ever since, I’ve been wishing and hoping for someone to take charge of the need for delicious hot waffles with amazing, sweet toppings. François Kerckhof, owner and creator, is a real Belgian himself, so you know the waffles are legit. I’ve had a Liege waffle before, but never so good as this. Jay ordered the classic Liege(a naked waffle with a simple caramelized sugar crust) and I couldn’t help myself from ordering the Cinnawaffle, another delightful Liege, smothered in Speculoos spread(aka«Cookie Butter». Thanks Trader Joe’s), whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. Holy crap — both waffles were amazing, hot, fresh, as well as worth the drive and the calories. We were so anxious to eat them, that I neglected to take any pictures. But my Cinnawaffle came complete with a tiny Belgian flag! I mean, c’mon. This whole scenario is awesome. While my waffle was phenomenal, there are so many other options to choose from. Every waffle can come with vanilla ice cream, because… you know, delicious. Whether you want chocolate, fruit, chocolate & fruit, or a totally savory experience of goat cheese and apples(omg, yes), there is something for you at the waffle truck. My one regret is that it was too hot out to order a homemade hot Belgian cocoa, topped with whipped cream. Until we meet again!
