Soomsoom is quickly becoming my favorite foodtruck in Durham, and not just because it’s name is fun to say. The pita bread is freshly baked and all of the pitas(which are about $ 8 – 10) are flavorful, especially the eggplant and chicken schwarma. If you order the hummus you will want an extra slice of pita to make it last longer, and that is just $ 1. The best thing I have had on the menu is the labneh(also fun to say) which I had never tried before and it blew my mind. If it’s on the menu, get it, you will be glad you did.

OMG the best food truck in the triangle area! All fresh, local produce inside a freshly baked pita. We just ate there yesterday, the pita with chicken shawarma and a side off homemade hummus… so good I want to go again!

I got to try this food truck in Winston Salem. Overall it was pretty good. I ordered their chicken shwarma pita with a side of cabbage salad. I love the pita. The chicken had great flavor and I like that it came with a Middle Eastern pickle. I wish there had been a little more chicken in it. The cabbage salad was okay. I didn’t think the dressing had a lot of flavor. I would definitely get a different side if I had the chance to come here again.

Hands down the best food truck in Durham. Fast. Friendly. Authentic. And most importantly, good. They are super nice and will conform to your dietary needs(vegan and GF)!! Word to the wise: Try the eggplant! You won’t be disappointed.

Great food. Salad, pita, kebab, eggplant pita. Mediterranean food in Durham! I ordered kebab with Israeli salad and that was great.

I tried Soom Soom tonight for my first time and I can already tell I’m going to be hooked. Immediately rose to my number one slot for food trucks. Super fresh and tasty.

So good! Simple, fresh, carefully prepared food and really delicious. By far the best food truck I’ve been to in Durham(anywhere really). The beef and lamb kebab is really good, we also loved the chickpea side and the lebneh side.

Got a portobello mushroom wrap. Nothing great, vegetables were pretty raw except for the mushroom. Overpriced, but people were friendly and taste was good.

Currently this is my favorite food truck in Durham. You can find it in the Durham’s Farmers’ Market(Saturday mornings) and sometimes in front of Cocoa Cinnamon on Thursday or Wednesdays(not sure). If you miss Israeli food, you will love them. My favorite pita is the steak and egg but have not seem it in a while. My next best favorite is that chicken liver pita, which is amazing, it tastes almost as foi gras. Overall the pitas are very light since even the non-vegetarian ones(the ones I eat) have lots of vegetables. Besides the taste, the texture is terrific: radishes give some crunchiness, the pita bread itself is warm and steamy, the egg(in the steak and egg) is never over-cooked neither is overly soft so you would make a big mess when eating it. The spices give a subtle but nice kick. I started buying sumac to season my dishes after eating here. The food is way better than the street food I used to get in Jerusalem circa ’01. I also suggested trying the«deconstructed cheese cake» at least once: cheese/yogurt with jam and pita slices that were slightly charred. The combination of the sweet jam with the tart cheese/yogurt and the slightly charred pita is very good. They always have vegetarian options.

These guys just pulled into our Court Yard with their food truck for lunch. Holy Beef Kabob Batman that was one of the best sandwiches I have had in the Triangle to date. The micro greens where really fresh and the meat was perfectly spiced and so tender. Hoping this guys open a restaurant near by so I don’t have to stalk them at lunchtime
