So I received a gift certificate for $ 100 for here and with that in hand I decided that maybe I COULD afford some things at this store. I came in during a weeknight and it was totally empty except for me and a sales associate. I started looking around(in the back of the store, because the front of the store is Pea in a Pod brand and that stuff is super pricey) and to my delight I found that the Motherhood brand was having a buy 2 get 1 sale. I spent about an hour here and found 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts. My total was a little over $ 200 which, with the giftcard, wasn’t a bad deal. I stand by my initial review that this place is expensive, but I think it’s worth the splurge in some areas(dress pants for work) where Target and Old Navy just don’t have the inventory and selection. I wouldn’t buy a plain shirred vneck here or anything, though.

Ahh yes, maternity fashion could be an oxymoron. It’s hard to feel beautiful, sexy, and comfortable in anything that has buttons and zipper with an ever-expanding waistline. Upon confirming the news that a baby was on the way I was a little worried(among many worries) about how a 6’1 mama fits into that«maternity fashion» category. Turns out, Destination Maternity has a tall section! Whhhhat… you ask? Yes, it’s true! For a pair of black work pants, it was $ 40 which is a little pricey particularly when you hope that your window of wearability is limited, but they are comfortable and they’ll work so hey, it’s worth it! They did have a sale section — buy two get one free — so that paid off. If you’re looking for professional/dressy clothes that aren’t just like a garbage bag this is the place for you!
