Hyatt Place Durham/Southpoint

Nice hotel… stayed here 6 nights in the last 4 months… a bible thumper refuses to serve alcohol because it offends her. On 3 separate occasions she will not serve alcohol to hotel guests. Hey, I respect your beliefs, but your in the wrong position, find another job or work in a church or a dry county… sorry, I will stay elsewhere next time.

Very easy check in and excellent staff. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well designed. Complimentary drinks on every Tuesdays. Very convenient to shopping and dinning.

Rooms are nice and clean hotel lobby is inviting check in was excellent. The beds are the only hotel beds I have had a great night sleep. The only thing I found is the glass bathroom door needs to be cleaned more often.

Loved loved this beautiful hotel surrounded by the North Carolina woods. Nice location, great service, very clean and cool room layout. Also very close to the streets of south point mall.

In the past few months I’ve fallen in love with Hyatt and this location is no exception. The location is ideal, right off I-​49 and down the street from the SouthPoint mall. There are several restaurants across the parking lot which are very convenient, especially after a long travel trip.
The staff is very friendly and the lobby area is very open and very inviting. The rooms are clean and well-​kept, which is consistent across all the Hyatts I have been to in the past few months.
I look forward to staying here again in the future!

We like Hyatt Places a lot in our family. They are new, and therefore very clean. This one was no exception. The front desk staff were what’s keeping me from giving them 5 stars. They seemed a little contradictory and weren’t the friendliest.

This hotel is UBER clean! All the furnishings are new and modern. The beds are comfortable, the staff is very friendly. The carpets are fresh and clean. I have no problem walking on them in my bare feet. Which is rare for me.
The showers are large with good water pressure. The beds are very comfortable and have nice clean fresh sheets. There is a nice sitting room in each room with some nice pillows and a blanket. Its a nice touch that adds an extra level of comfort. The TV is large and swivels for viewing in either part of the room. The view from my room was also nice. I got a room on the back side is a full view of the forest. it was very peaceful. The exercise room is typical. I didn’t check out the pool.
My 4 star rating is because of the proximity to food and other things to do. Everyone has their own reason for picking a place to stay. If you have a car, this place is definitely worth 5 stars. If you don’t have a car, then there are limited options.
The burger place across the street is TERRIBLE! There is a Bonefish and an ALDI in the parking lot. Other than that, there is a mall up the road about 1 mile. It’s an easy walk on a nice day, but if its cold, windy or rainy, I’d take the shuttle. The hotel shuttle will take you, but it doesn’t run ²⁴⁄₇ so check with them for times.
You don’t get much cleaner hotel rooms though, so book and enjoy!

Awesome suite with comfortable bed big Tv. I had a corner room so made it much better. Couldn’t find one thing to complain about shopping mall within walking distance, nails food grocery and hotel bar

Very clean but hotel is ridiculously understaffed and what staff there is proved unhelpful at best. Even for a bare bones hotel, this was bad.

A hotel with a decent sized TV?! Only heard of in customers dreams, until this hotel made it reality. A whole 42″ TV is in the room! Hotel is very clean, as it’s new.
