Just got home from shopping at this store. Watched the manager throw Girl Scouts out of the store to sell their cookies in the cold. The manager on duty said it was because they couldn’t get the carts in the store because of where the Girl Scouts had set. I call baloney on that. Kroger, your policy stinks. Young girls, in the cold. Shame on you.

ALWAYS check your receipt, they charge the wrong prices all the time. I have bought rotten and expired food from this location on several occasions. We won’t buy meat or fish from this location because there is something VERY wrong with every meat purchase we have made, I really think they put the wrong labels on their packaging or don’t store the meat correctly because we have opened up chicken that smelled so rancid like it was rotting flesh(I kid you not), and we opened it the day we bought it, it was not any where near the sell by date. This has happened multiple times for their meats/fish. For their deli, I literally have to ask them to show me the package so I can be sure it’s not expired, they have given me lunch meat WAY past its prime. Seriously, check your food when you shop here… I hope the management sees this and does something about it before someone gets really sick!

It’s convenient. I have no problem with refunds or returns. They are slack about removing the sales tags from shelves by the expiration date. The exp date is tiny and hard to see, especially on the bottom shelf, and you buy something you think is on sale only to find out it’s not, then have to go through the hassle of a refund. A plus is that you usually get the item free. I’ve found it wise to check my register receipt before leaving. I also use the pharmacy and like their service very much(plus it’s open 7 days a week), and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We recently purchased what looked like the most beautiful thick pork chops. We love grilled pork chops. They looked great, but were clearly not ‘fresh’ meat by any measure. The constancy was like plastic mush and had no hint of pork flavor. Very salty tasting. We will never consider shopping for fresh meat of any kind from Kroger. We have purchased similar products of excellent quality from Harris Teeter and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Customer service is great! I’ve always been greeted several times. I’ve not had to wait in line long during both of my visits. There is an organic section but it is lackluster. However, this place is open 24 hours so that’s a definite plus!

Customer service is SOBAD. I’ve gotten better service at Walmart. I’ve been coming here for a while because it’s close to my house and the prices are good, but if you ever have an unusual customer service issue, forget it. There are a few good people there but usually the CS staff is rude, abrasive, lazy, and wildly incompetent. The pharmacy is awesome though. I wish I could give a separate review for them with five stars. Everyone else in the store is friendly too, I wish they’d fire the whole CS staff and just replace them with the nice people working the floor.

Good value & customer service. Decent selection(for a Kroger), fairly clean, and the employees are usually friendly and helpful. The parking situation in the complex it’s located in is a disaster with what seems like only one exit. I don’t want to be here during any situation where you need to evacuate as I can only imagine car crashes everywhere. Whole Foods is closer to me, but unless Bill & Melinda Gates adopt me, I have to supplement weekly groceries with good ‘ol reliable Kroger.

I have been shopping at this Kroger for about 2 years now and in the last year or so I have found lots of expired items once I got home. I have started going to other places but the rare occasions I stop in there, I always have to make an effort to check the expiration dates on items. Sure enough the times I forget to check — which I feel like I should not have to be that cautious, its not like I’m getting the food for free — it ends up being expired. From yogurt, to fruit and today the peanut butter I got expired in November. Another time I got some margarita mix that expired in September 2012 and I got miserably ill and could not figure out what it was until I saw the date on the mix. The location is convenient and they generally have good deals on stuff like salmon and canned goods but having expired food on the shelves is a no-no. Whoever is stocking those shelves is not doing their job. I’d much rather pay a little extra at harris teeter or go out of my way to another store where I don’t have to go and check dates on everything I am purchasing.

Worst store and employees ever. Don’t waste your time or $$$ here go to Harris Teeter where they have better deals and treat you like family.

I like Kroger. We used to have them in Greensboro until Harris Teeter bought them out. Now they seem to be everywhere out here in the Triangle. But, it’s a grocery store. The fresh food is fresher than some, but not others. The natural/organic selection is pretty decent and cheaper than some. There’s really not much to say… it’s a grocery store. I did notice one thing, they don’t care Fiber One Toaster Treats. I know this cause I seriously love those things, but it seems I can only get them at Harris Teeter. Also, really soon, this location of Kroger is getting a gas station in it. That’ll be nice since it’s right across the street from 2 – 3 other gas stations.

Probably one of the more complete supermarkets within short drive of central Durham. It’s situated just of Hwy 85 in the Northpointe mall, right around Home Depot and Costco. It has a nice range of produce, comprehensive selection of cheeses, cereals and a pharmacy section. There is a small seafood section. There is an «international» foods section that stocks items from UK, mediterranean basin, Asia, and Mexico. One of the few places where I could find Custard, and fresh Rhubarb in central Durham.
