Learning Express Toys

This place is awesome! Extremely friendly, enthusiastic, personable, and helpful staff. There are a lot of toys kids can try-​out and play with while you shop. You can tell they truly love kids here!

We got to play games!
My wife and I stopped in right at 8 pm yesterday in search of educational/​learning board games for our church Christmas gift to a 10 year old boy that we don’t know. Though we came in right before the manager was about to close, we were welcomed and not rushed. We asked for assistance both knowing it was closing time and realizing we were in over our heads because we don’t have children of our own.
Ted, the manager, showed us several games based on our recipient’s age and request. He even played a few rounds of one of them with us so we could see how it was played. He was able to explain each game, how it was played and won, and what learning outcomes you could get from it. This was incredibly helpful for us since we didn’t know about any of these games when we came in the store.
They have lots of Lego and Playmobil items in store as well. This would be a dreamy place for me 20 years ago! Also, my wife thought this would be a good place to get a unique baby shower gift that lasts for years, instead of getting another set of clothes or a diaper bag.
I definitely recommend this store for anyone shopping for a unique gift for a child. The customer service was top notch and they will be sure to help you find just what you need!

They have a variety of cool things – from the super amazing LIVE African frogs (nice low-​maintenance pet for a first-​time pet owner), to some of the coolest games and toys.
I also love their selection of little wacky goodies.
I agree with the other reviewer – definitely tough to get out of here without dropping $ 30 or more. Staff is knowledgeable. A lot of hands on things to try – this has been IDEAL to see if it’s as good as it looks in the package.
BONUS – you can register for gits and they keep track of them for you. A great way to get quality gifts.
Wish they were a bigger store with even a wider selection of products, but I sure do appreciate what hey DO have!

Next time you’re home with your toddler on a rainy day and can’t face the hordes of screaming, stumbling tots in the play area at the mall, take your little one over to Learning Express, which is near Bed Bath & Beyond and Total Wine off 15 – 501. It’s a paradise for wee people. We had lots of fun with the big bouncy glitter balls; she fell in love with several stuffed animals and they had a great selection of educational (and otherwise) toys. Mental note: good place to shop for birthday gifts.
Just realize it will be hard to get out of there without dropping $ 30. And be prepared for a little heartbreak on exit (none of those soft puppies came home with us).
