This locally-owned and family-operated store provides consigned and new toys, learning materials, textbooks, craft supplies, games, and more. Although its focus is to provide a local resource for the Chapel Hill area homeschool community, they also have great products for public and private school teachers and parents, as well as products specific to Montessori and Waldorf learning styles. When I re-started homeschooling last year, the owners were very helpful to me in connecting with the local homeschool community. They’re very knowledgeable about what’s going on in the local community, and are well-connected. They also have meetups, like a handwork group(knitting, weaving, crochet, spinning, etc.), monthly teen hangouts, occasional movie nights, and weekly math games playdates. At their new location, they also host a variety of classes. My kids will be taking classes there this coming fall! And, I have to say this because most people might think learning store = boring… At Christmas time, I’ve given TONS of gifts purchased here for the last two years, and they’ve been hits! All in all, we love this place.
