Had a buffalo chicken wrap, which was not good at all. The chicken was so chewy and did not seem cooked right. The lettuce looked old and did not taste good. I asked for ranch dressing and did not get any in or with the wrap. I could only eat a couple of bites because of how bad the chicken was, and I had ordered it to go so I could not come back to change it for anything else. Had a steak and cheese wrap previously which was really good.

Coming here and not getting buffalo chicken in your Mac & cheese is like eating cap’n crunch without chrunch berries.

Best Steak and Cheese in the area! Mama Nancy puts a lot of time into food preparation. Steak quality and portions get an A+.

Considering this took the place of JP’s, a lot of residents had some hostility towards it opening. I however, was pumped. mac and cheese is like, my dream food, at all hours of the day. I really enjoyed the homestyle(plain) mac and cheese. I would get this at least once a week. Just make sure to ask for extra bread crumbs and it is the best. Greg would always get the buff chick mac and cheese and loved it as well. It was always fresh, tasty, and cooked right there. Losing one star for being a bit pricy, for just mac and cheese. I think i gained a lot more respect for this place because one of my friends worked there, and would tell me how hard Mama worked, and how much time/thought went into the resturaunt as well as the meals. It really is that that makes me love this place even more.

Have only been here once, but I would definitely return. Went here on a saturday night around 12:20 am.(It’s open until 2am on sat which is pretty sweet for that after bar craving). LOCATION: Next to Durham House of Pizza and across from Libby’s bar & Grill. DECOR: Bunch of tables and booths to sit at. Clean and average atmosphere. FOOD: So I tried a bunch of different types of their Mac and Cheese. Ordered the small in each, was around $ 6 – 8 each bowl. The bowl size was actually a pretty big amount for a small size, definitely enough for a meal for one person. I will rate the dishes I tried =] 1(best). Broccoli and Chicken 2. Bruschetta 3. Fiesta 4. Steak and Cheese 5(worst). Buffalo Chicken The chicken and broccoli was definitely the favorite among my group of friends. Everyone agreed the buffalo chicken flavor was too overpowering for the mac n cheese. The rest were all tasty and worth trying. I really like how they put crunchy bread crumb type of topping on the mac and cheese dishes. SERVICE: The service wasn’t bad, the owner was friendly and helpful when I was deciding which item to order. The girl at the register, who also brought us our food, was nice too. However, she messed up my order and gave me broccoli and chicken even though I ordered buffalo chicken. I get that mistakes happen, but it annoyed me that she told me, «You said broccoli and chicken.» Because I definitely did not, I’m not really a fan of broccoli so I would never order that. Butttt in the end, I tried my friends buffalo chicken and it was actually not that good. So I guess it worked out for the better, right?

We had a Medium Fiesta, a Medium Chicken Cordon Bleú, a hamburger and two waters — $ 29. 95% Mac with far too little of the stuff that sets it apart for the money. Took 20 minutes and was boring and bland tasting. Fiesta had about half a beef patty, seasoning, a few diced jalepeño peppers, and some tomato. Cordon Bleú had maybe half a thin slice of deli ham, 5 bite sized pieces of chicken and swiss cheese. Sadly, I recommend you keep you money in your pocket and keep walking.

I agree with the person before me in that this is just an «OK» place to eat. The food’s not great, but it’s not awful either. However, I have surely experienced better food. Mac & cheese is a good, easy food to make. So, I expected the mac & cheese to be amazing, since it was their specialty. I got the traditional mac & cheese and wasn’t that impressed. It was still good, but felt like I could have made the same quality at home. Perhaps, the other options for mac & cheese are a different outcome. The prices are also a bit on the high side, which is why the cheaper, traditional mac & cheese seemed more appealing.

I went to UNH for over 5 years, and loved JPs(the restaurant Mama Macs replaced), but I thought I would give Mama Macs a try as I do love mac and cheese. I was very disappointed. I ordered a classic mac and cheese as well as a mac and cheese with pesto and tomatoes(I forget the name). First off, for noodles and cheese sauce, their prices are on the high side, especially since they’re a restaurant in a college town. Secondly, it took them what seemed like an exceptionally long time to make my food, and it was only myself and my friend who were in the restaurant. Although the food didn’t taste bad, it wasn’t great. It really just lacked flavor, and I was not impressed. I had ordered two servings with the intent to take one home for later, but it wasn’t even worth it and I ended up throwing it away …
