Love this place — great atmosphere, great food, great service and great prices. The food is on the more delicious end of pretty standard Chinese food fare, but I love that it doesn’t have a fast foody feel(rare at this price point for Chinese food). I’ve known some of the staff since I was a little kid and they worked at China Pearl in Cary, and they sweetly always remember and ask after my family members.

I’m so sad that we don’t live close to this amazing Chinese restaurant now! It is the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, barring Chinatown in NYC. Like most of the reviews report, the General Tso Chicken is unbelievable. I never get anything else; can’t seem to get past this dish. The chicken is both crunchy and spicy, which is one of the reasons I love it. Also, we have ALWAYS received our food incredibly fast. The dragon on the wall has also spurred several conversations between my husband and I on our future home décor :)

I am afraid they are rushing and shortcutting the quality of their food way too much, trying to squeeze profit out of the business, and not putting love and care into what they serve customers. They need to slow down, not be so cheap, and do things right, so they do not kill their business. Some of the food dishes are loaded with oil to a degree you feel sick, and those dishes are also prepared very sloppily. The ratio of meat to vegetables in several dishes is ridiculous… There is so little meat, that the dish has no balance. For example the«Mongolian» dishes are mostly consisting of a massive amount of oily, greasy onions with very little meat. That is an unhealthy and a bad tasting way to serve food. An egg roll ordered was burnt black on the surface, which is also unacceptable. That shows no care in preparation or presentation. The poor texture of the chicken in fried chicken dishes also is extremely disappointing. They need to use larger and better quality carefully cut chicken breast pieces if they want to be good for their customers. What was totally disappointing was that they charged me an extra $ 1 for white meat and still served dark… That made me feel very cheated. I also suspect the salt and/or msg content is way too high making you feel very thirsty and dry in the mouth long after the meal. Service is also a bit inexperienced and overwhelmed, leading to situations like your water does not get refilled, or you must wait very long for the check after dinner(after asking multiple times). Also, when asking for a few chopped green onions on the side of a dish, they responded«no, we do not have any», after checking in the kitchen. That is ironic and so cheap, as other dishes had stir fried green onions in them, obviously indicating they had green onion, and where either to lazy or cheap to give us a just a few to better enjoy one of the dishes. That shows a real lack of customer focus. I do not think I have ever encountered a Chinese restaurant in my life that would not accommodate a request for a few pieces of chopped green onion on the side… They need to improve a lot and not be another crappy restaurant that serves low quality food. That is where this place seems to be heading… I expect much more and will gladly and generously award my business only when high quality and carefully prepared healthy food is served.

Quintessential chinese american food. This is my new go to for when I’m craving chinese take out. I’m sad that I didn’t try this place sooner considering how often I frequent Kroger. I got the 2 dish dinner combo, which is a ton of food even for two people. You’ll definitely have leftovers for tomorrow unless you’re feeling particularly gluttonous. I got the beef and broccoli and General Tso’s. They had the right ratio of sauce and seasoning that everyone wants in chinese take out. I wouldn’t have a sit down meal here. Call your order in or walk in, place your order, get your groceries next door, and pick your order like I did.

Solid Chinese takeout restaurant. Service was prompt. The sesame chicken is the best I’ve had in this area – better than Hong Kong(Woodcroft) and New China(Falcon bridge). We didn’t eat in but they have plenty of seating if you’d like to enjoy your dinner in the restaurant.

This place is surprisingly good for a Chinese take out place. If you’re deciding between here and the hong kong by food lion, this place is way better. The general tso chicken is some of the best I’ve had.

I’m updating, solely based on how good the General Tso’s chicken is. Ordered it on a recommendation from a co-worker who really likes this place, and yes the General Tso’s chicken is great!

If you’re looking for quick Chinese take out, this is a good option. I have never personally eaten inside, and I wouldn’t suggest it. The restaurant is pretty small and there’s always hardly any people there. The staff seemed friendly and double checked that my take out order had everything it was supposed to have inside my bag. This was a huge plus for me because I can’t tell you how many times I have walked away from getting take out with the wrong order. The chicken and broccoli was pretty good. They give you a lot of food, and definitely don’t skimp on the veggies. There was too much brown sauce for my liking, and it felt the chicken was swimming in a pool of sauce. I ordered an egg roll and the egg drop wonton soup as well. The egg roll was crispy, but didn’t have much filling inside. The soup was tasty and still hot by the time I got home! For a last minute easy take out dinner option, I would certainly suggest orient garden. Do not go here to dine in though and expect top of line Chinese food.

We have eaten here throughout the years and always have great service and wonderful food. My wife was born in Hong Kong and knows her Chinese food and this is one of our favorites in the Triangle and Durham.

I love anything«Nese» Chinese… Japanese. this place used to be the best ever but I’ve noticed it’s lacking something here lately. Wait staff? Wait, what staff? Lack of employees to help is very frustrating. I usually call in my order while leaving work, the lady who answers the phone always speaks as if I’m bothering her, cuts me off and rushes of the call. The food used to be Great, now it’s about the same as an all you can eat buffet. I really wish they would spell work on these problems. I NEEDMYNESE

I tried this Orient Garden location for the first time recently. I went to the one in Morrisville once, but it was probably over five years ago. My take-out order consisted of shrimp and broccoli with steamed rice, and egg roll and egg drop soup. The price with tip came to around $ 15. The egg drop soup was ok, but lacked some flavor. I know I have better. The egg roll was dry, and not very crispy on the outside. I know I have had better egg rolls elsewhere. The shrimp and broccoli had good flavor, but the skimped on the shrimp and the shrimp that were there seemed a bit small. Also, it was dominated by carrots and had quite a bit of sauce. Probably too much sauce, making it a very salty experience. To top things off my fortune cookie fortune made no sense! Orient Garden wasn’t a bad experience by any means. I’ve had better though in all facets, hence the two stars.

Ordered the twice cooked pork it was good. Our waiter was great but they only have 2 staff working on a Saturday night. 1 waiter and 1 behind the counter. People are waiting in line for takeout orders and the phones are ringing like nonstop.

I come here for lunch because dinner is pretty pricey. The lunch special is 7 dollars but it comes with your choice of meat, rice and soup. You can’t beat that with a billy goat. The portion sizes are large no matter the time, you could tell they are some hard working people.

So after searching for a good Chinese place I decided to give this place I try. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. There was barely any meat in the food and although the waiter was sweet he wasn’t very attentive. The restaurant was busy and there were only two people waiting tables and one person taking to-go orders. I ordered the beef and broccoli and my boyfriend ordered the hunan chicken. The beef was really chewy and salty and the hunan chicken was full of vegetables and literally had like 5 pieces of chicken. I had to ask the waiter for extra chicken and he came out with 4 extra pieces of meat. I was laughing in disbelief… usually if you ask for extra meat in other establishments they bring the meat in the sauce at least. The only good thing was the hot and sour soup and even that wasn’t good enough to get us back in here.

Hi, my name is Amanda and I have a Singapore rice noodle problem. I love Singapore rice noodles. Okay, I love noodles in general, but this is different. There’s something about those thin, curry-flavored stir fried noodles that just speaks to me. Singapore rice noodles know me. They know my weaknesses. You can’t always find vegetarian Singapore noodles on the menu. They usually come with some form of meat, but here, you can get them with just veggies. It would be even better if they had some bits of tofu as well. There are also other vegetarian dishes that look pretty good. I might try them one day with my Singapore noodles. The service here is on the slower side, but the food was good.

This Chinese place is pretty close to my dad’s house. My sister swears by the sesame tofu. So we ordered some, along with veggie lo mein and a couple dishes for the meat eaters. I also ordered an egg roll, which are vegetarian. The lo mein was good! A lot of noodles and no bean sprouts, which I hate — they always put a ton in instead of noodles and it ruins it for me. The veggies were perfectly cooked — a lot of Chinese places have them practically raw. The sesame tofu was also delicious. I’m not a huge tofu fan, but these were huge chunks almost caramelized with sauce and sesame seeds. Really a top notch dish! The egg roll fell short. It tasted reheated — kind of tough and soggy rather than crisp. I didn’t eat more than a bite, it was so bad. Will definitely be back for the veggie dishes, minus the egg roll!

My boyfriend and I come here on a regular basis, and we usually get the sha-cha chicken.(According to Wikipedia) sa-cha sauce is made with dried shrimp, brill fish, oil, and spices, so it’s more savory than your average stir-fry, but it can be hard to find. Many places don’t offer it. I recommend getting it with rice, not the Ho-Fun noodles, because the noodles only come with meat and green onions, whereas the rice version comes packed with veggies. I love my veggies. Orient Garden does a brisk take-out business, but we usually eat in. The service is great and portions are plentiful. We just wish they were open on Sundays.
