Absolutely delicious homemade food at a great price point for RTP. Nice casual atmosphere and the line moves pretty fast during busy lunch hours. Everyone is friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu. Some times I get a dessert or an extra soup just to take home for dinner.

Great place for lunch and lots of vegetarian options. Love the rustic décor and laid back feel. Been there a few times during peak lunch times for rtp and it still didn’t feel over crowded. Good, friendly customer service.

It can be tricky getting here at the right time to avoid the mad lunch crowds, but if you plan smartly and avoid the noon rush it’s the perfect place for a quick lunch break. I have never been disappointed by the food, they have a ton of menu options to choose from, and the staff is courteous.

Piper’s in the Park serves up some excellent sandwiches! I have had their Turkey Sando and their«Rascal’s Rueben». The Turkey sandwich is basically like a homemade turkey sandwich after Thanksgiving. You know, real meaty chunks of turkey, not that turkey-loaf junk or thin-sliced turkey that others use. The Rueben was made with corned beef, and had coleslaw on it in lieu of the traditional sauerkraut. I kind of missed the sauerkraut, but it was still very delicious. The melted swiss cheese and seasoned corned beef was mouthwateringly delectable! You get to choose from a variety of homemade sides, and I had a side of potato salad. It was quite tasty too. I look forward to trying some of their other offerings. It’s a fantastic lunch! Stop by and try it and I do not think you will leave disappointed. Bonus Material: If you are a dog lover, they have paintings all around the seating area of various breeds of dogs. I saw a little sign where the artist was advertising that he can paint your dog from a photograph, and his contact number was there for the interested.

My company uses Piper’s in The Park to cater lunch events every once in a while and I remember always asking where the food was from because it was so good. The wraps are very tasty; the sauces are delicious and ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The turkey wraps seem to have a better meat to greens ratio than the chicken wraps. They state that they only use the best ingredients and I believe it. My experience has mainly been with the wraps but they go beyond the average deli to offer a unique variety of menu options. Check out their menu online as I’m sure it will entice you to give them a try. They have the best chocolate peanut butter pie! It will have you drooling just thinking about it.

One of the best, authentic, fresh-made lunch spots in the Triangle. The pimento cheese sandwich was delicious! I wish they had Saturday hours! I can only come here if I have a day off because I work 8 – 5 M-F in Chapel Hill.

The food is excellent. If this food was served in New York City, Piper’s would make it to the New York Times as Best Restaurant.

This place made me so happy! One of the things I dread most about business travel is it is so difficult to find a place that everyone can agree on with good food and healthy options. I’m also not the type that can eat a really sad salad and go on with my day with full concentration. Pipers had so many options, I went with the vegan wrap, totally delicious, and curried couscous. Thanks for providing some tasty, healthy options! My only complaint is it got pretty loud during lunch hour, but that can be expected. Be sure to bring in a picture of your pet for a free cookie!

Outstanding place to grab a healthier lunch. Recommend the tarragon chicken salad, spinach salad, potato salad, pasta salad, and the Reuben. Always busy, so better to call ahead for pickup.

Three of us went for lunch. Our first impressions were a restaurant that is entirely too loud. The dining area severely needs some sound dampening. My dB meter on my phone was registering dangerous volumes(at long term exposure). Luckily we got one of the two outdoor tables on this pleasant day. The Ruben sandwich I ordered was pretty good, but it was made very sloppily. The meat was in a big pile in the center leaving none on the edges. My co-worker ordered the Ham sandwich and she said it was too dry and the dijonnaise sauce was subpar, and that was especially disappointing for her since it was the main draw of the sandwich. My other co-worker got the BLT and he thought his was try too which was surprising given two difference sauces. We’re thinking the bread for both dry sandwiches was sliced too thick. Two of us got the potato salad side and while it looks fantastic, neither of us cared for the flavor. The(mayo, and mustard or dijonnaise I’m guessing) sauce seemed a bit thin and I think the combination of the two led to a confused flavor. I’d choose one or the other, with a preference towards mustard-based. If the shop were closer, we’d come back to try more, but given it’s a 10 – 12 minute commute there wasn’t enough today to get us back. Two stars seems a bit harsh making me think I should rate three, but Unilocal’s description of two stars is spot on: «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

Piper’s is one of the best hidden treasures in RTP. The quality of the food outclasses the over hyped establishments of Mez and other large contenders that have somehow earned the title of best lunch spot. It’s hard to narrow down what makes Piper’s so special. I can’t recall a time I’ve ever complained, let alone that the meal didn’t live up to my expectations. While I stick to a few items that I love(the beef chili is basically life changing), I always enjoy the continuously evolving special list, as well as the hearty offerings you wouldn’t expect to find at a small café, like the beef brisket sandwich. However, what really sets Piper’s apart isn’t just the food… it’s definitely the people. The staff is grade A and set the standard of customer service.

Pretty delicious! I came here with my co-workers today for a team lunch. We got here close to 12& the place was hopping! For our group of six, there were about three people in front of us in line, but a lot of folks already seated. Salads, sandwiches & wraps with a twist are their offerings, with plenty of side choices. Prices are reasonable, because the amount of food you get is plentiful. I chose the BLT& potato salad. We waited about 10 minutes for our food. It’s very loud in there, so probably not the best spot for a lunch meeting or intimate conversation. They do have a good bit of seating available. My sandwich was delicious. I loved the maple peppered bacon. It gave a nice crunch to the sandwich. The romaine lettuce & tomato were fresh & the bread toasted/grilled nicely. The potato salad was a mayo & mustard base with small chunks of potato(with the skin still on). It had a nice texture & kick to it. Parking is decent, but it is in a strip mall with other lunch only restaurants & businesses.

Excellent meals. The brisket sandwich is the best. I don’t care for the fish sandwich. The onlynside item I like is the potato salad.

Truly where God himself has lunch amid his 9 – 5. What is not good here? Nothing I love the pimento cheese sandwich and occasional special they carry with it. They carry local GF Bread. Just go there, it’s the best thing in the strip in RTP.

Whenever my wife and I walk in the door, the cashier sees us and has our usual orders rung up before we’ve even walked to the register. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. :) I always get the brisket sandwich, and it’s never anything less than stellar — flavorful and piping hot, and the cheese and sautéed onions really make it. My wife usually gets the beef wrap, and won’t get anything else. If you’re hitting this place up for lunch though(and you must be, because they’re ONLY open for lunch), try to get there early. We usually try to be there by 11:45; if you wait until much later, it gets pretty slammed, and there’s not a ton of seating. For a lunch spot in RTP, this is really tough to beat.

I was not a fan of the fish burger. But my friends say the Brisket is phenomenal. I will definitely go back, but will be trying something else.

This is a happening place for lunch! Super busy, but food came quickly. I had a soup and sandwich combo for $ 8. I had a roasted butter nut squash soup and half of of a honey walnut chicken salad sandwich on wheat. They tasted homemade and delicious. The seating is casual — you come in to the counter, order your food, leave your name, and find your seat in the mix matched array of tables and chairs. They call your name and you get your food. It’s loud in there so if you’re going for a quiet business meeting to discuss important things — this is likely not the ideal place to go. But if you’re going for good food, quick and affordable — you’re on the money. Loved it.

I just have 4 words for you Cowboy’s Beef Brisket Sandwich. This place really surpassed any expectations I had. At first I thought $ 11 was pricey for a sandwich and a cup of chilli, that is until I opened my take out container. I was in love. The meat I in this sandwich was fantastic. I will be back. Maybe tomorrow.

Busy Place, full of RTP’ers at lunch time. But don’t worry. If the line is out the door, keep the faith and hang in there. Plenty of seating and it will turn over by the time you reach the menu board and the cash register. You can tell from the menu and the specials that someone cares about cooking food and not merely being a chain. I ordered a Reuben, and it came with a little twist. It was more like a Southern Reuben, and amply sized to

Yummy!!! Tried piper’s for the first time today and I am impressed. I will definitely return… with coworkers! I like the order online option, though I haven’t tried it yet. The Rocket BLT was delish and hearty. The potato salad was pretty good. Dijonaise I think. Not sweet, which is how I prefer it. They are very friendly… and crowded. I managed to squeak in just before noon and was able to order and leave with my to-go food in under 15 minutes. As I was leaving I noticed the line was long. But there were still open seats. Maybe it’s popular with the to-go crowd? Anyways, long story short, I’m going back to try the brisket sandwich and couscous side.
